Abstract

Among effective management systems, the importance of human resources is increasing. Employee performance is an essential factor that influences success. In an organization, it is one of the most critical functions of an agency. This research aims to determine the variables that affect employee performance and develop a theoretical basis and research model. This research used an associative descriptive quantitative method with a population of 244 respondents, employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, and a sample of 150 respondents who were employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department with probability sampling using the proportional stratified random sampling method. One hundred fifty questionnaire data have been obtained and processed. The results of this research show that the first hypothesis is that employee performance is significantly influenced by servant leadership, the second hypothesis is that organizational commitment is influenced considerably by servant leadership, the third hypothesis is that employee performance is influenced substantially by organizational commitment, the fourth hypothesis is that organizational commitment can mediate the influence of servant leadership on employee performance. It is hoped that this research can provide a theoretical contribution to the literature in this context, of course, in the context of human resource management.

Abstract

This article discusses the vital role of communications management in the local government context, focusing on crisis communications strategies and community relations. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of local government communication practices in dealing with crises and in establishing good relationships with local communities. Research methods involve interviews with public relations practitioners and stakeholders and online surveys to gather community views. The research results show that local governments have positively tried to convey information, respond quickly, and listen to citizens' views during crises. However, there is still room for improvement, especially in technology such as virtual meetings and text messaging. These findings provide valuable insights into communication management practices in local government and their implications for building transparent and responsive government.

Abstract

Technological innovation has become a key element in supporting sustainability and increasing the competitiveness of the food and beverage industry. This study analyzes the impact of implementing technological innovation, such as automation, supply chain digitalization, and environmentally friendly technology, on operational sustainability and increasing company competitiveness. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a population of 100 companies in Indonesia's food and beverage sector. The results show that 75% of companies have adopted at least one form of technological innovation, with production automation (40%) and supply chain digitalization (35%) as the most commonly implemented technologies. Implementing these technologies contributes to increased operational efficiency, reduced costs, and strengthened competitive positions in the global market. In addition, environmentally friendly innovations, such as using renewable raw materials and biodegradable packaging, improve the company's reputation in the eyes of consumers who are increasingly concerned about the environment. The regression results show a significant relationship between the implementation of technological innovation and sustainability, where companies that adopt green technology report a decrease in carbon emissions of up to 20% in the last five years. This study concludes that companies that are proactive in embracing technological innovation have a more significant competitive advantage and the ability to meet market demands and sustainability regulations. More robust policy support is needed to help small and medium enterprises access advanced technologies to ensure sustainable industrial growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the influencing factors of transformational leadership and organizational commitment on employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a causal approach. The object of this research is the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in the Bina Marga Sector of Banten Province using a sample of 115 respondents. Questionnaire answers were measured using an interval scale of 1 – 10. The data were analyzed using the SmartPLS version 3.29 software. The results of this study stated that: 1). Transformational leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, the acquisition of a coefficient of 11.7%, 2). Organizational commitment has a significant impact on employee performance, obtaining a coefficient of 22.5% 3). Transformational leadership has a significant effect on work discipline in the acquisition of a coefficient value of 24.5%, 4). Organizational commitment has a significant effect on work discipline with the acquisition of a coefficient of 45.3%, 5). Work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance, the acquisition of a coefficient of 64.5%. Work discipline can mediate between transformational leadership and organizational commitment to employee performance partially.

Abstract

Wilayah perkotaan merupakan wilayah di mana Sebagian besar masyarakat tinggal. Namun ketidakmerataan finansial sering kali menghasilkan wilayah kumuh di sekitar wilayah urban ini. Salah satu langkah yang dapat digunakan untuk dapat mengatasi permasalahan finansial ini adalah dengan melakukan pemberdayaan, khususnya pemberdayaan wirausaha bagi Wanita. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui pendekatan penelitian aksi. Hasil dari penelitian ini kemudian menemukan bahwa pemberdayaan wirausaha wanita di permukiman kumuh urban sangat bergantung pada inovasi produk, pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal, pelatihan, dan peningkatan kapasitas, serta penanganan hambatan sosial dan budaya. Inisiatif ini tidak hanya memperkuat usaha wanita dalam menghadapi tantangan bisnis, tetapi juga memiliki potensi untuk mengubah norma sosial dan budaya yang membatasi peran mereka. Dengan demikian, pemberdayaan wanita di komunitas kumuh urban bukan hanya investasi ekonomi, melainkan juga langkah menuju kesetaraan gender dan pembangunan yang lebih berkelanjutan.
