Abstract

Computer vision methods as an alternative to sensors in modern measurements are feasible in physics experiments due to their speed, accuracy, and low cost. The You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm is widely used in computer vision because it detects object positions quickly and accurately. This research uses YOLO version 3 (YOLOv3) to compute an object’s falling time and gravitational acceleration. Two steps are performed in this study: first, the detection of predefined objects using YOLOv3, and second, the use of trained YOLOv3 to track the object's coordinate. According to the object tracking results, the object's falling time can be measured based on the object tracking results. The gravitational acceleration is calculated using the time data after the fall time of the object is measured. The measurement result of the fall time of the object will be compared with the data from the sensor. The result of the gravitational acceleration calculation is measured for its relative error against the value of 9.78150 m/s2, which is the value of gravitational acceleration in Jakarta city. The results show that YOLOv3 can accurately detect objects and measure free-fall motion, with a time measurement error of only 1.1 milliseconds compared to sensor measurements. The error obtained from the measurement of the Earth's gravity is 0.634%.

Abstract

Our study investigates the remarkable capacitance performance of a supercapacitor cell featuring electrodes synthesized through the liquid-phase exfoliation (LPE) method using environmentally friendly linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) surfactant. We explored different synthesis temperatures (15, 30, and 90 °C) to evaluate their impact on reducing sonication time. The electrodes, created by drop-casting graphene onto a silver plate substrate and heated at 50 °C, demonstrated exceptional cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charging-discharging (CD) results. Notably, the graphene synthesized at 90 °C exhibited a maximum capacitance of 59 F/g at a 13 mV/s scan rate in a 1.3 M KOH electrolyte gel, leading to superior energy density as shown in the Ragone plot. Our findings highlight the crucial role of increased synthesis temperature in LPE, enhancing supercapacitor cells through the expansion of sp2-ordered grain size, evident in the Raman shift data's ID/IG increase.

Abstract

This also tends to justify the approach of social media analysis as a highly effective tool for mapping and optimally developing UMKM in the post-pandemic era. COVID-19. From the analysis, social media has become an important supporting medium for marketing activities and the development of the marketing area for UMKM. Dominantly, Instagram and Facebook serve as media for promotion, while WhatsApp is used for direct communication with customers.and data collected from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, this research highlights trends in customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and brand visibility. The main findings of this research indicate that UMKM adopting data-driven strategies on social media achieve high customer retention, better market penetration, and increased revenue. Additionally, this study demonstrates how social media strategies can be further optimized and explains in detail the quality of content, frequency, and targeting in attracting customers online. This research reveals the potential of social media analysis and thus can provide actionable recommendations to empower UMKM towards resilience and competitiveness in the digital economy. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating digital tools for sustainable development in the post-pandemic era.   Abstrak Pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak besar pada keberlanjutan operasional dan keuangan UMKM, memaksa beberapa di antaranya berada dalam situasi keterpurukkan ekonomi dengan resiko tinggi. Pandemi COVID-19 secara tidak langsung berperan dalam memajukan platform digital seperti media sosial yang menjadi alat promosi UMKM. Penelitian ini mencoba memetakan dan mengoptimalkan kinerja UMKM pada era post-pandemi dengan bantuan analisi media sosial. Menggunakan data yang dikumpulkan dari platform seperti Facebook, Instagram, dan TikTok, penelitian ini menyoroti tren keterlibatan pelanggan, efektivitas pemasaran, dan visibilitas merek. Temuan utama dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa UMKM yang mengadopsi strategi berbasis data di media sosial mencapai retensi pelanggan yang tinggi, penetrasi pasar yang lebih baik, dan peningkatan pendapatan. Selain itu, studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana strategi media sosial dapat dioptimalkan lebih lanjut dan menjelaskan secara rinci tentang kualitas konten, frekuensi, dan target dalam memikat pelanggan secara online. Penelitian ini mengungkap potensi analisis di media sosial dan dengan demikian dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang dapat ditindaklanjuti untuk memberdayakan UMKM menuju ketahanan dan daya saing dalam ekonomi digital. Temuan tersebut menekankan betapa pentingnya integrasi alat digital untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan dalam menghadapi era post-pandemi.

Abstract

This work introduces a computational teaching module that leverages Python, Google Colab, and the GPAW package to simulate the electronic band structure of AlCu materials. While powerful, traditional Density Functional Theory (DFT) tools like Quantum ESPRESSO or VASP often present steep learning curves and software installation challenges. By contrast, GPAW operating within Python and its seamless integration with Google Colab provides a user-friendly, platform-independent environment for students to explore quantum simulations without local setup requirements. The simulation workflow is highly efficient, with key processes such as structure creation taking only 7 milliseconds, structural relaxation requiring 51.2 seconds, and band structure calculations completing in just 40 seconds. In this educational framework, students model AlCu and its doped variants, visualize band structures, and analyze changes in the electronic properties induced by doping. The approach supports active learning and reinforces core solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, and computational materials science topics. Sample notebooks, learning outcomes, and classroom integration strategies are presented, aiming to democratize access to DFT education through open-source, cloud-based tools.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' scientific literacy through the use of worksheet integrated with guided inquiry aided by teaching aids. This study used a Pre-Experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-posttest design conducted in 1 class. The subjects of the study were students of Phase D of MTSS Persis Cikalongkulon. Data collection techniques were pre-test and post-test (scientific literacy) and questionnaires. Worksheet-guided inquiry aided by teaching aids was declared very feasible by expert validators and practitioners (science teachers) and effective in improving students' scientific literacy with an N-Gain of 0.51 which is included in the moderate category. The practicality of worksheet has an average score of 35.87 out of a maximum total score of 48 and these results are in the good category. Based on the questionnaire of students' interest in learning, the results showed that 80% of students felt the learning atmosphere was more active and enjoyable.
