Abstract

This study aims to overcome students' difficulties in understanding the material continuity of functions through the use of structured worksheets in differential calculus courses. The research subjects were second semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT). This type of research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles where each cycle consists of two meetings. Continuity of Function material consists of several parts, namely set intervals of numbers, limits of functions and graphs, function continuity tests. The data obtained in this study are the activities and abilities of students in understanding the material. Student activity data was obtained by observing while student abilities were obtained by using a student understanding ability test. Furthermore, the data collected in this study were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Results analysis was carried out in each cycle to determine the success of using structured worksheets in overcoming student difficulties. The percentage of students who experience difficulties in cycle 2 is 26.92%. This figure is in a weak qualification with a range of 20% - 40% of the number of students, thus indicating success in this classroom action research. Thus the use of structured worksheets can overcome students' difficulties in understanding the continuity of functions material.

Abstract

The need for learning tools that can be mastered by prospective teacher students in the School Field Experience Program (PLP) 2 requires fifth-semester students to develop the ability to design appropriate and effective learning materials. Mathematics textbooks are among the essential tools that must be created for PLP 2, making it necessary to guide students in writing textbooks through a dedicated course. This has led to an innovation in creative writing skills for mathematics textbooks using the design thinking method, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The results of this research include the physical development of school mathematics textbooks for middle and high school levels. Testing of the resulting products has placed them in the "very good" category, indicating their suitability for use as learning materials to support PLP 2 activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui penggunaan LMS pada blended learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis calon guru matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pra–experimental design dengan one group pretest and posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 1 Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika sebanyak 30 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes tulis pretes dan postes dengan pengolahan menggunakan SPSS terdiri dari pengujian deskriptif data dan pengujian persyaratan analisis data: uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji N-gain. hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam penggunaan LMS pada blended learning meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.00 < 0.05 dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,76 berkategori tinggi. maka tafsiran efektifitas N-Gain sebesar 76.221 dengan tafsiran sangat efektif. Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini adalah kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa harus lebih ditingkatkan lagi dengan menggunakan LMS sebagai calon guru matematika.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the spatial ability profiles of prospective mathematics teachers in solving spatial analytic geometry problems, considering the critical role of spatial proficiency as a success predictor in STEM education. Design/methodology/approach: A mixed-methods design was employed, involving 15 fifth-semester students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang selected via random sampling. The instrument consisted of a spatial ability test evaluating spatial visualization, orientation, and relation. Findings: Results indicate a moderate spatial ability level (mean: 60.4%). The highest performance was observed in spatial orientation (64%), followed by visualization (61.3%), while spatial relation was the weakest (54.7%). Strategic analysis revealed significant misconceptions regarding plane sections. Practical implications: The findings advocate for geometry instructional designs that integrate visual-analytical approaches to mitigate misconceptions and optimize the spatial development of prospective educators. Originality/value: This study provides a specific baseline of spatial ability profiles within the context of spatial analytic geometry, addressing a literature gap concerning targeted interventions for spatial relation skills in pre-service teachers.   Purpose: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis profil kemampuan spasial mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri analitik ruang, mengingat peran krusial kemampuan spasial sebagai prediktor keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran STEM. Design/methodology/approach: Menggunakan desain mixed-methods dengan sampel 15 mahasiswa semester 5 di Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang yang dipilih melalui random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan spasial yang mencakup aspek visualisasi, orientasi, dan relasi spasial. Findings: Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan spasial mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang (60,4%). Skor tertinggi dicapai pada aspek orientasi spasial (64%), diikuti visualisasi (61,3%), dan relasi spasial (54,7%). Identifikasi strategis mengungkap adanya miskonsepsi pada konsep irisan bidang. Practical implications: Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan desain pembelajaran geometri yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan visual-analitis untuk memitigasi miskonsepsi serta mengembangkan kemampuan spasial calon praktisi secara optimal. Originality/value: Studi ini memberikan baseline data profil kemampuan spasial yang spesifik pada konteks geometri analitik ruang, mengisi celah literatur mengenai kebutuhan intervensi khusus pada aspek relasi spasial mahasiswa calon guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Base Learning dengan siswa yang men menggunakan model Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Nonequivalen Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 17 Tangerang dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas 7.3 dan 7.4. Data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Untuk materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel model pembelajaran ProblemBased Learning mampu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika lebih baik dibandingkan dengan Think Pair Share

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ketapang District, Tangerang City, still face limitations in utilizing digital marketing and adopting environmentally friendly packaging, which impacts their business competitiveness. This community service program aims to increase MSMEs' understanding, awareness, and interest in business digitalization and sustainable packaging innovation. This activity was carried out through educational seminars and interactive discussions involving 20 MSMEs from the culinary, handicraft, and service sectors. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-activity questionnaires to measure changes in participants' understanding and interest. Results showed an increase in participants' understanding of business digitalization from 30% to 85%, an increase in the use of social media for promotion from 20% to 45%, and an increase in interest in adopting environmentally friendly packaging from 15% to 70%. In addition, collaborative initiatives among MSMEs increased from 10% to 40%. However, direct implementation of these practices remains hampered by limited technical skills and access to supporting resources. These findings suggest that a participatory education approach is effective as a first step in strengthening the capacity of MSMEs and should be followed by ongoing technical assistance to ensure a sustainable impact.

Abstract

The development of science and technology affects the emergence of interactive learning media. Interactive learning media is expected to be able to foster students’ learning motivation and spatial abilities. This study aimed to develop learning media based on geogebra software on cubes to deveop students’ spatial ability. This study applies the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development implementation, evaluation) as a research and development model for creating interactive learning media using geogebra on cube theory. Tha sample in this study amounted to 20 students where these students had not received theory about cubes. The research data was obtained through filling out a questionnaire evaluation test for students’ responses to learning. The quality of geogebra based learning media is related to three criteria, namely validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the results of the research and analysis carried out, the interactive learning media that has been developed meets good validity criteria, can be used practically in learning and is able to grow students’ spatial ability in cube theory

Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the learning outcomes of implementing flipped learning integrated with Augmented Reality and GeoGebra in mathematics education. Following the PRISMA guidelines, a comprehensive search was conducted in Scopus database using specific search terms related to flipped learning, augmented reality, and GeoGebra in educational contexts from 2015 to 2026. The initial search yielded 67 articles, which were screened based on inclusion criteria including empirical studies, publication year, English language, and methodological approach. After the screening process, 49 articles were excluded as not relevant. Further eligibility assessment of the remaining18 articles led to the exclusion of 10 articles (4 non-primary research articles and 6 non-full-text articles), resulting in 8 final articles for review. The analysis reveals several key findings: (1) the integration of AR and GeoGebra in flipped learning environments significantly enhances students’ mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills; (2) students demonstrate improved self-regulated learning capabilities and engagement in mathematical concepts; (3) the combination of these technologies supports personalized learning experiences and active participation; and (4) while implementation challenges exist, particularly in technical infrastructure and initial adaption, the overall impact on learning outcomes is positive. This review contributes to the growing body of knowledge on technology-enhanced mathematics education and provides practical insight for educators implementing flipped learning with digital tools.   Tinjauan literatur sistematis ini menyelidiki hasil pembelajaran dari implementasi pembelajaran terbalik (flipped learning) yang terintegrasi dengan Augmented Reality dan GeoGebra dalam pendidikan matematika. Mengikuti pedoman PRISMA, pencarian komprehensif dilakukan di basis data Scopus menggunakan istilah pencarian spesifik yang terkait dengan pembelajaran terbalik, augmented reality, dan GeoGebra dalam konteks pendidikan dari tahun 2015 hingga 2026. Pencarian awal menghasilkan 67 artikel, yang kemudian disaring berdasarkan kriteria inklusi termasuk studi empiris, tahun publikasi, bahasa Inggris, dan pendekatan metodologis. Setelah proses penyaringan, 49 artikel dikeluarkan karena tidak relevan. Penilaian kelayakan lebih lanjut dari 18 artikel yang tersisa menyebabkan pengecualian 10 artikel (4 artikel penelitian non-primer dan 6 artikel non-teks lengkap), sehingga menghasilkan 8 artikel akhir untuk ditinjau. Analisis mengungkapkan beberapa temuan kunci: (1) integrasi AR dan GeoGebra dalam lingkungan pembelajaran terbalik secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman matematika dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa; (2) siswa menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan belajar mandiri dan keterlibatan dalam konsep matematika; (3) kombinasi teknologi ini mendukung pengalaman belajar yang dipersonalisasi dan partisipasi aktif; dan (4) meskipun terdapat tantangan implementasi, khususnya dalam infrastruktur teknis dan adaptasi awal, dampak keseluruhan terhadap hasil belajar adalah positif. Tinjauan ini berkontribusi pada semakin banyaknya pengetahuan tentang pendidikan matematika yang ditingkatkan dengan teknologi dan memberikan wawasan praktis bagi pendidik yang menerapkan pembelajaran terbalik dengan alat digital.
