Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical problem solving. The purpose of research to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model of learning to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research was conducted at SMP Alijtihad II Kutabaru Tangerang Regency. The research method used is quasi experiment with design of non equivalent control group design. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique, student of class VIIIB as experiment class using PBL model and class VIIID students as control class with conventional method. The instrument used is a test to measure the ability to solve mathematical problems in the form of a description. Test instrument data were analyzed using the t-test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. Based on the result of calculation using t-test at 0.05 significance level, obtained tcount ? ttable (3,3841 ? 1,9966), so that PBL learning model can influence student's mathematical problem solving ability. The Mann-Whitney U Test showed that Zhitung ? Ztable (2.82 ? 1.92) thus enhanced mathematical problem-solving abilities in the class using the PBL model better than the conventional method. The improvement of students' highest mathematical problem solving abilities in the PBL class is on the indicators of planning the completion, whereas in the conventional class is on the indicators understand the problem

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetah gambaran kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan populasi penelitiannya adalahwa kelas 7D SMPN 3. Kosambi Kabupaten Tangerang sejumlah 30 siswa dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 3 siswa berdasarkan kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengenakan tes tulis kemampuan berpikir kritis berbentuk essay dan wawancara berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa ang berkemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan menggunakan 4 indikator yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi, siswa yang berkemampuandang mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan 2 indikator yaitu analisis dan evaluasi, sedangkan siswa yang berkemampuan berpikir kritis rendah mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan menggunakan I indikator yaitu interpretasi.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome students' difficulties in understanding the material continuity of functions through the use of structured worksheets in differential calculus courses. The research subjects were second semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT). This type of research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles where each cycle consists of two meetings. Continuity of Function material consists of several parts, namely set intervals of numbers, limits of functions and graphs, function continuity tests. The data obtained in this study are the activities and abilities of students in understanding the material. Student activity data was obtained by observing while student abilities were obtained by using a student understanding ability test. Furthermore, the data collected in this study were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Results analysis was carried out in each cycle to determine the success of using structured worksheets in overcoming student difficulties. The percentage of students who experience difficulties in cycle 2 is 26.92%. This figure is in a weak qualification with a range of 20% - 40% of the number of students, thus indicating success in this classroom action research. Thus the use of structured worksheets can overcome students' difficulties in understanding the continuity of functions material.

Abstract

Based on the observations and interviews at State Junior High School 8 Tangerang, data was obtained from the teaching modules at the school. Explaining the material in the teaching module has not improved students' mathematical literacy skills. The aim of this research is: (1) to develop a teaching module as a learning module on social arithmetic material for class 7 of State Junior High School 8 Tangerang, (2) to determine the feasibility of the teaching module, (3) find out the assessment of class seventh students at state junior high school 8 Tangerang regarding the development of teaching modules. This research is a development research or Research and Development (R&D) type. The steps in this research are potential and problems, collecting information, product design, product validation, product improvement, and product testing. The instrument used in this research was a learning media validation sheet. Based on the validation results by media and material experts, the average was 4.50 out of a maximum score of 5.00, and learning practitioners averaged 4.57 out of a maximum score of 5.00, categorized as very feasible. The results of the teaching module trial received a very good response from students, with an average of 3.88 out of a score of 4.00, meaning that the teaching module was very suitable for use in the learning module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran pendidikan Pancasila berbasis digital interaktif untuk penguatan karakter siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Cariu Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ASSURE yang mencakup 6 tahap: 1, Analisis peserta didik, 2. Menetapkan tujuan pembelajaran, 3. Memilih strategi, media, dan materi, 4. Penggunaan bahan ajar, 5. Melibatkan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, 6. evaluasi dan revisi. Hasil validasi ahli dan uji coba menunjukkan modul layak digunakan (rata-rata validasi >4,6), N-Gain = 0,485, kategori sedang. Modul ini juga mendapat respon positif dari siswa (rata-rata skor kuesioner 4,4).

Abstract

Literasi numerasi dibutuhkan dalam setiap aspek kegiatan, baik pada rumah, sekolah atau lingkungan masyarakat. pada kehidupan sehari-hari ketika mengatur waktu, memilih lama pekerjaan, berbelanja, merencanakan liburan atau aktivitas lainnya membutuhkan kemampuan literasi numerasi. menggunakan kemampuan literasi numerasi, para PMI akan bisa memecahkan permasalahan yang berkaitan menggunakan matematika. Kemampuan yg terkait ialah kemampuan mengaplikasikan konsep sapta, pengukuran, operasi hitung, geometri, data dan pola serta menginterpretasikan isu kuantitatif yang ada di sekeliling. Guna memperkuat kecakapan numerasi bagi PMI, perlu ditingkatkan aktivitas kegiatan yang sesuai dengan muatan numerasi yaitu dengan mengadakan pelatihan secara online bagi para PMI di Hong Kong. Metode aktivitas ini ialah menggunakan melaksanakan training dan pendekatan pada mitra yang dituju, melaksanakan pelatihan dan evaluasi. hasil evaluasi pelatihan menyatakan bahwa aktivitas pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi para PMI di Hong Kong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa berdasarkan indikatornya. Penelitian merupakan  jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang melibatkan 32 siswa sebagai subjek, dengan pengumpulan data melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika dan wawancara untuk mendalami respons siswa. Analisis data menggunakan penyajian data deskriptif, reduksi data wawancara dan menarik kesimpulan.  Hasil analisis mengindikasikan kemampuan siswa secara keseluruhan tergolong baik, dengan nilai rerata 71. Mayoritas siswa (21 orang) menunjukkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada kategori tinggi, siswa dengan kemampuan sedang (8 orang) dan rendah (3 orang). Secara spesifik, siswa menunjukkan kekuatan dalam indikator menyajikan konsep dalam bentuk representasi matematika dan menerapkan konsep secara algoritmik. Pada indikator penerapan algoritmik, mayoritas siswa berhasil menjawab dengan benar, meskipun terkadang ditemukan kesalahan yang diakibatkan oleh kurangnya ketelitian. Kemampuan siswa berada pada kategori sedang untuk indikator menyampaikan kembali suatu konsep, di mana banyak siswa masih kesulitan dalam memberikan definisi dan alasan yang tepat mengenai bentuk aljabar. Indikator terlemah yang ditemukan adalah kemampuan menerapkan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah. Hampir seluruh siswa belum mampu mencapai indikator ini, terutama dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita ke bentuk aljabar serta melakukan operasi aljabar yang selaras dengan aturan operasi aljabar, serta menunjukkan adanya kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan pemahaman konsep matematika dasar yang signifikan. Hasil kesimpulan penelitian masih terdapat celah signifikan pada aspek elaborasi konsep dan aplikasi konsep dalam konteks pemecahan masalah. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi perlunya strategi pembelajaran yang lebih terfokus pada penguatan pemahaman dasar secara bertahap, khususnya untuk indikator-indikator yang masih menunjukkan kelemahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi mahasiswa berdasarkan level motivasi mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Tes terdiri dari soal-soal yang menuat indikator representasi matematis, sedangkan non tes berupa angket motivasi belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi PGPAUD Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang kelas 3A2, yang berjumlah 29 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, tidak ada mahasiswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar level rendah. Sebanyak 55,17% mahasiswa dapat menjawab dengan baik untuk indikator menyajikan data dalam berbagai bentuk. Sedangkan pada indikator penyimbolan terdapat 44,83%. Mahasiswa dengan motivasi tinggi mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika pada statistika dengan baik sesuai yang diharapkan. Sedangkan pada mahasiswa dengan motivasi sedang, terungkap mahasiswa kurang teliti dalam mengerjakan soal sehingga menyebabkan skor yang diperoleh tidak sempurna. This study aims to describe the ability of student representation based on the level of student motivation. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The instruments used were tests and non-tests. The test consisted of questions that raised mathematical representation indicators, while the non-test consisted of a learning motivation questionnaire and interview guidelines. The research subjects were students of the PGPAUD study program at the Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang in class 3A2, totaling 29 students. The results showed that there were no students who had a low level of motivation to learn. As many as 55.17% of students can answer well for indicators presenting data in various forms. While the symbolic indicators are 44.83%. Students with high motivation can solve mathematical problems in statistics as well as expected. While the students with moderate motivation, it was revealed that the students were less thorough in working on the problems so that the scores obtained were not perfect.
