Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the strategy of inculcating Islamic character in students in dormitory of SMK (Vocational High School) Ma'arif 5 Gombong, what character values were there, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the learning process there. This research was qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data was done by using the triangulation method. The study results stated that the strategy of planting Islamic students in dormitory of SMK Ma'arif 5 Gombong was exemplary, disciplined, habituation. While the values of Islamic character were pious, grateful, polite, polite, honest, disciplined, and respecting time. The supporting factors for this strategy were the high level of conditioning, the presence of CCTV, good management, while the inhibiting factor was the diverse input of students and not all students had the intention to study religion.

Abstract

The Pesantren Tradition Book is a translation of Zamakhsyari Dhofier's dissertation which was compiled to obtain a doctorate degree in Social Anthropology at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia in 1980, and is the result of field research on two pesantren, namely Pesantren Tebuireng in Jombang and Pesantren Tegalsari. in Salatiga which was conducted from September 1977 to August 1978 and was funded by The Australian Development Assistance Bureau (ADAB).

Abstract

Menurut Undang-undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974, Pernikahan adalah ikatan lahir batin antara seorang pria dengan seorang wanita sebagai suami istri dengan tujuan membentuk keluarga (rumah tangga) yang bahagia dan kekal berdasarkan Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa. Oleh karena itu pengertian perkawinan dalam ajaran islam mempunyai nilai ibadah, sehingga Pasal 2 Kompilasi Hukum Islam menegaskan bahwa perkawinan adalah akad yang sangat kuat untuk menaati perintah Allah, dan melaksanakannya merupakan ibadah. Wali merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam pernikahan, karena wali termasuk rukun yang harus terpenuhi dalam pelaksanaan pernikahan. Dalam masyarakat terkadang wali mewakilkan perwaliannya kepada orang lain. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya perwakilan wali dalam pernikahan biasanya adalah tingkat kemampuan dan keilmuan yang dimiliki oleh wali tersebut serta alasan lain yakni ingin mendapatkan barokah dari orang yang diundang khusus untuk mewakili akad nikah tersebut seperti kyai atau ulamak yang berpengaruh. Dalam hukum perkawinan Islam dimungkinkan adanya wakalah. Perwakilan di dalam pernikahan seperti halnya perwakilan pada seluruh akad. Bagi seorang atau kedua mempelai yang berhalangan sehingga tidak dapat hadir di majelis akad dapat mewakilkan kepada orang lain. Bagi, mempelai putra berhak mewakilkan kepada orang lain dan mempelai putri yang diwakili oleh wali nikah dapat pula mewakilkan kepada orang lain.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the condition of the world being affected by the coronavirus outbreak, so it was important to plan a strategy in growing thematic learning creativity in students through online learning strategies. This research aimed to determine: 1) the teacher's efforts in fostering thematic learning creativity during the pandemic in class II C MIN 1 Bantul students in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research was a qualitative research with descriptive-analytical type. The approach to this research was a case study. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis used the analysis of John W. Cresswell. The research results revealed that: (1) the implementation of online learning systems in fostering thematic learning creativity, namely: (a) utilizing social media applications, (b) synergizing and collaborating with students' parents, (c) emphasizing learning on life skills, (d) emphasize good habits, (e) apply learning evaluation. (2) the implications of online learning systems for the growth of children's creativity, namely: (a) less optimal inculcation of cognitive aspects in students, (b) students were more 'literate' technology, and (c) students became more focused in the learning process.

Abstract

The research aimed to discover and describe the urgent textbook pattern for reading al-Qur'an at Al-Fataa Islamic Boarding School before treatment and the textbooks needed for treatment, the ability to read al-Qur'an, and the humanist attitude of students before and after treatment. This research type was research and development with a qualitative descriptive approach. We collected data using observation, interviews, documentation, testing, and questionnaires. The research showed that the textbook pattern before treatment was much less coherent subject matter, the separation between theory and practice, and the psychomotor aspects were more dominant. The student's ability after treatment: All students passed; 17 got a B, and 9 got an A. Students who were able to read al-Qur'an without tajwīd required 12 meetings, and students were able to read al-Qur'an according to the science of recitation, and garīb Al-Qur'an takes 78 hours. The humanist attitude of the students after the treatment was all development models were perfect. The Self-Concept model was perfect except for two students who had good predicate. Model Sensitivity and group orientation were all excellent. The consciousness-expansion model was mostly better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation, implications, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the Madrasah al-Qur'an Al Fajar model in Class IIA Correctional Institution Yogyakarta. This research is a field research using qualitative methods and phenomenological approaches. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis uses Mautakas' phenomenological theory. The study results show that the implementation of Madrasah Al-Qur'an Al Fajar is driven by three agencies, namely the Class IIA Yogyakarta Prison, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Yogyakarta, and BAZNAS DIY. Activities are implemented on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday with learning methods that include lectures, sorogan, bandongan, questions and answers, demonstrations, practices, examples, and habituation. The model of Madrasah Al-Qur'an Al Fajar is a madrasah that is managed in a modern and synergistic manner so that it can change the religious behavior of students for the better than before. The implementation of this Madrasah Al-Qur'an implies that students become diligent in reading the Qur'an, be tawadu', be polite and friendly, respect each other, be orderly in worship, be able to become khatib, imam, teaching assistant, and make speeches, with increased awareness and peace of mind. Factors supporting the success of this Madrasah include funds, Ustaz, management, "Santri Ustaz," warrior mentality, volunteers, infrastructure, and community support. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are new residents, the rolling system, the "little king," limited human resources (HR), recidivist students, and syndicates.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas bacaan Al Qur’an anak-anak Taman Pendidikan al Qur’an (TPQ) melalui pendampingan materi berbasis tematik. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di wilayah Koripan 1 Dlingo Bantul Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pengabdi adalah (1) menganalisa kebutuhan, (2) membagi dua tim kelas, (3) mengajar melalui beberapa kajian tematik, (4) mendampingi anak yang masih kesulitan belajar, dan (5) mengevaluasi program untuk ditindaklanjuti. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa setidaknya ada tiga tantangan yang justru dijadikan cambuk untuk memberikan solusi yang tepat. Untuk implementasi program, pengabdi melakukan empat program unggulan, yakni (1) program pembelajaran Al Qur’an terstruktur, (2) program Tahsin dan Tajwid, (3) program fiqih ubudiyah, dan (4) program pengkaderan calon ustadz/ustadzah. Keempat program ini dapat memasyarakatkan Al Qur’an dan meng-Al Qur’an-kan masyarakat, sehingga pengembangan Al Qur’an di lokasi pengabdian berjalan lancar dan hasilnya dapat semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Al-Ghazali, through his seminal work Iḥyā’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn, has made enduring contributions to Islamic educational thought. However, certain aspects of his philosophy, such as the dichotomy of knowledge and the authoritative role of the teacher have sparked debate when examined in light of contemporary educational challenges. This study seeks to reassess the relevance of Al-Ghazali's educational philosophy within the context of the millennial generation, focusing on academic objectives, pedagogical approaches, epistemology, and the ethics governing educators and learners. Employing a qualitative, descriptive literature review method, the research analyzes Al-Ghazali’s primary texts alongside relevant secondary sources. Findings indicate that while Al-Ghazali’s educational paradigm shaped by his Sufi orientation, emphasizes character formation and spiritual development, several of his more traditional views warrant critical reevaluation. Specifically, the rigid classification of knowledge and the absolute authority of teachers may hinder adaptation to 21st-century educational demands, which prioritize creativity, collaboration, and technological integration. Nevertheless, core elements of his thought, such as the integration of moral values, the principle of gradual learning, and the emphasis on self-purification, remain pertinent to contemporary character education. Accordingly, Al-Ghazali’s educational philosophy continues to offer both inspiration and a critical framework for shaping a progressive and contextually grounded model of Islamic education in the millennial era.
