Abstract

Penanganan stunting yang tidak tepat dapat berdampak pada kehidupan anak hingga tumbuh dewasa. Perlu dikaji intervensi edukasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa sebagai tindakan preventif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis pengaruh efektivitas edukasi dampak pernikahan usia dini dengan stunting menggunakan medium video terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap siswa. Desain eksperimen kuasi pre-post test dengan jumlah sampel masing-masing 35 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol di SMPN 18 Kinovaro, Kab. Sigi. Analisis pengaruh menggunakan uji paired sampel t test dengan interval kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian sebelum intervensi skor pengetahuan dan skor sikap berbeda signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil setelah intervensi (post-test 2) menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan skor pengetahuan dan skor sikap pada kelas eksperimen yang cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Abstract

Adolescent girls are susceptible to nutritional and psychological problems due to changes during puberty. Selective eating behavior and negative body image perceptions may affect nutritional intake, potentially leading to eating disorders and mental health issues. This study aimed to examine the relationship between food selectivity and body image with nutritional status in adolescent girls. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, involving 89 purposively sampled female adolescents aged 15–19 years from a population of 790. Anthropometric measurements were conducted using a microtoise and a digital scale, and data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results showed that 17.5% of participants were undernourished. There was no significant association between food selectivity and nutritional status (p = 0.454), but a significant association was found between negative body image and abnormal nutritional status (p = 0.001). In conclusion, body image is significantly associated with nutritional status, whereas food selectivity is not, among adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 2 Palu.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an alternative snack rich in antioxidants and to examine differences in acceptability and nutrient content among formulations. A completely randomized design (CRD) was used with three formulations combining butterfly pea flower extract and purple sweet potato flour: F1 (50%:50%), F2 (65%:35%), and F3 (70%:30%). Organoleptic testing was conducted with 30 semi-trained panelists using a 7-point hedonic scale, while nutritional analysis measured antioxidant content, carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. The sensory evaluation found no significant differences (p>0.05) in color, aroma, taste, and texture. However, the nutritional analysis showed significant differences (p<0.05) in antioxidant, carbohydrate, and protein contents, but not in fiber levels. F1 had the highest antioxidant content (89.10 ppm), with carbohydrate at 13.91%, protein at 6.20%, and fiber at 8.16%. Based on these results, F1 was identified as the best formulation and shows potential for development as a healthy, locally sourced snack with high antioxidant content.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Stunting masih menjadi masalah prioritas. Kondisi ini bukan hanya disebabkan oleh asupan zat gizi yang kurang, tetapi juga diperburuk oleh penyakit infeksi yang sering terjadi pada anak. Tujuan: Tujuan untuk melihat hubungan frekuensi dan durasi penyakit infeksi pada balita stunting. Metode: Penelitian desain case-control pada populasi balita usia 24-59 bulan dengan jumlah sampel 92 balita yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok case dan control. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur, pengukuran tinggi badan serta pencatatan riwayat penyakit infeksi dalam enam bulan terakhir menggunakan buku KIA. Hasil: Proporsi balita memiliki frekuensi penyakit infeksi jarang sebesar 75%, serta balita yang memiliki durasi penyakit infeksi tidak lama sebesar 59,8%. Diketahui balita stunting dengan penyakit infeksi jarang sebesar 89,1% dan dengan durasi lama sebesar 58,7% Terdapat hubungan antara frekuensi dan durasi penyakit infeksi dengan kejadian stunting (masing masing p< 0,001). Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara frekuensi dan durasi penyakit infeksi pada balita stunting usia 24-59 bulan. Penyakit infeksi perlu menjadi prioritas dalam upaya penurunan stunting melalui perbaikan sanitasi, serta edukasi kepada ibu balita.

Abstract

Red dragon fruit peel has high antioxidant content and abundant availability in Indonesia but is still rarely utilized. Brown rice has a higher fiber content than white rice. Brown rice and dragon fruit skin can be processed into keciput snacks. Keciput is a snack made from glutinous rice flour wrapped in sesame seeds that can be varied in shape, color and taste. The aim is to determine the effect of the acceptability of red dragon fruit peel keciput with the addition of brown rice flour as a healthy snack. Completely randomized design (CRD) experiment with 3 treatments on red dragon fruit peel and brown rice F1 (50%:50%), F2 (60%:40%) and F3 (70%:30%). Acceptability test on 30 untrained panelists and analyzed using Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney tests with a significance of p<0.05. Analysis of fiber content, protein, and antioxidant power was done twice on the selected formulations. There was an effect on the acceptability of red dragon fruit skin snails and brown rice flour (p<0.001). There was no effect of acceptability in the comparison of F2 and F3 on color, aroma, and taste (p=0.252; p=8.24; p=0.247). The highest mean value of acceptability was in F2 (selected). F2 contained 27.653% fiber, 17.346% protein, and 107.268 ppm antioxidant power.

Abstract

Adolescents are a vulnerable group facing nutritional problems, therefore nutritional needs are crucial. Unhealthy lifestyle changes, such as excessive cigarette consumption, can lead to nutritional status problems. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mental health and cigarette consumption with the nutritional status of male adolescents at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. This study was quantitative, using a cross-sectional approach with a population of adolescents at SMK Negeri 3 Palu aged 16-18 years. This study was conducted in December 2024. The sample size was 103 individuals, using a stratified random sampling technique. Based on the results of the Spearman rank test, it shows that the adolescents who experience the most mental health problems are at a mild level with a nutritional status of 42.6% (p = 0.724) > value ∝ 0.05 and the adolescents who have the most heavy cigarette consumption with a nutritional status of 48.8% (p = 0.221) > value ∝ 0.05, which means there is no relationship between mental health and nutritional status and there is no relationship between cigarette consumption and the nutritional status of male adolescents at SMK Negeri 3 Palu.
