Abstract

Abstract: Merariq tradition is a sacred tradition to obtain a wali nikah in marriage for the people of Genggelang, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesian. In the process, it contains complicated negotiation communication between the two families of the prospective bride and groom. This research uses negotiation communication theory and the method applied is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, documentation and books and journals of national and international repute.  The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) why the Genggelang community conducts negotiation communication in the Merariq tradition; (2) how negotiation communication is carried out by the two families of the prospective bride to get a wali nikah. The result of the research is that in the implementation of the merariq tradition, a negotiation communication model is applied between the two families of the prospective bride and groom with the type of principled negotiation. Thus, the bargaining position of the two families of the bride and groom emphasizes the basis of kinship and togetherness. The use of integrative and distributive strategies to produce an agreement. Submission of ajikrama and pisuka as a sign that the bride and groom are getting married. However, the impact of compulsive negotiation communication causes ongoing conflict between the two families, this is contrary to the values of Islamic preaching. Keywords: Merariq, Tradition, Negotiation, CommunicationAbstrak: Tradisi Merariq adalah tradisi sakral untuk mendapatkan wali nikah dalam pernikahan bagi masyarakat Genggelang, Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. Abstract

Digital technology has transformed how people communicate, including in the practice of Islamic da’wah, which now extends beyond formal religious forums. Digital creative communities have emerged as a new platform for shaping the values and character of the younger generation through participatory and collaborative social interactions. This study offers three main contributions: first, identifying the process of da’wah internalization within non-religious digital communities that continue to uphold Islamic values; second, mapping the stages of da’wah internalization (value transformation, value exchange, and value transinternalization) through the distinctive activities, interactions, and symbols of the Ruang Edit community; third, offering a new perspective on da’wah rooted in creative communities and digital culture. This study employs a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, with data collected through participant observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that value transformation occurs through personal narratives, creative symbols, and reflective content that contextualize Islamic values; value transactions through social interactions, community norms, and members’ participation in creative activities and dialogic da’wah; and value internalization through the application of values such as discipline, trustworthiness, empathy, sincerity, and social concern in members’ daily awareness and practices. Thus, digital creative communities such as Ruang Edit serve as a platform for internalizing da'wah through editing practices, collaboration, while also enriching research on community-based.

Abstract

This article uses a qualitative type of virtual ethnography method and literature review in obtaining the main data derived from the results of searching, collecting, and processing fifty reputable national and international scientific journals, general and religious-based online news websites, and social media platforms. Indonesian society has lived together in a socio-religious context with an atmosphere of peace, tolerance in the frame of diversity, and prioritizing the values of religiosity. However, this peace and harmony has turned into conflict, hostility and discrimination triggered by political elites using religion through identity politics and politicization of religion to gain power in elections. The conclusion of this research is that there must be a series of strategies by the government, religious leaders, and plural communities in moderating the digital world and cross-cultural religious literacy based on digitalization in the form of massive and inclusive positive content. Echoing the political narrative of humanity which is the spirit of politics, until finally a soothing social and digital media climate is created without any negative tendencies that become seeds of discrimination and conflict when elections come.

Abstract

Abstract

The poor ability to read classical Islamic texts among students at state Islamic universities and among the Muslim community indicates that their level of religious literacy is also low. Therefore, a training program on reading the classical Islamic text Nashaihul Ibad is needed for students in the Da'wah Management Program at IAIN Manado and the congregation of the Nurul Hidayah Mosque in Manado City. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method of an analytical nature and aims to identify the steps implemented to improve the ability of students and mosque congregants to read classical Islamic texts. Primary data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. Secondary data were derived from books and scholarly articles published in reputable journals. The study concluded that the classical Islamic texts reading program was conducted over one semester, consisting of eight sessions. Each session had specific discussion topics, and the methods applied were blandongan and sorogan. The obstacles identified included a low mastery of Arabic grammar (nahwu) and morphology (sharaf), weak intention and motivation, an educational background not from an Islamic boarding school, an unsupportive environment, and limited study time.
