Abstract

Social media often displays the most pleasant moments from other people's lives that they want to show their followers, but this is often used as a benchmark and compared to negative aspects in a person's life to cause social anxiety or fear of missing out. Self-acceptance is one of the factors that influence the fear of missing out. The uniqueness of this study lies in the variables used, some studies reveal the overall psychological well being without revealing the relationship between aspects of psychological well being with fear of missing out which one aspect is self acceptance, some previous studies focused on the Instagram application and this research focused on the TikTok application which is currently a trending application. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and fear of missing out Gen Z students using the TikTok application. This research method is quantitative correlational using purposive sampling sample selection technique. The population of this study consisted of 106 Gen Z students domiciled in Solo Raya and a sample of 35 respondents. Psychological scale with Likert scale model consisting of self-acceptance scale and fear of missing out scale prepared by modifying existing measuring instruments. Data analysis using product moment correlation technique. Data analysis yielded a correlation coefficient of -0.552 and a sig of 0.000, hence the hypothesis proposed by the researcher was accepted. That is, the self-acceptance of Gen Z students using the TikTok application has a negative relationship with fear of missing out and vice versa. Abstract

Fresh graduates who have just completed their education are believed to have less mature career preparation. Good career adaptability is believed to support readiness to find work. Mature career readiness can help fresh graduates face job demands and career challenges in the world of work so as to bring happiness at work. This study aims to determine the relationship between career adaptability and happiness at work in fresh graduate employees. This research is a quantitative study using cluster sampling technique with a sample of 112 people. Data collection uses two scales, namely the career adaptability scale and the happiness at work scale. The analysis was carried out using the Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between career adaptability and happiness at work in fresh graduate employees (r = 0.688, p = 0.001) which means the research hypothesis is accepted. Additional analysis results show that the career concern aspect has a contribution of 26.18%, the career control aspect is 11.67%, the career curiosity aspect is 8.28%, and the career confidence aspect is 12.86%. Fresh graduate yang baru menyelesaikan pendidikannya diyakini memiliki persiapan karir yang kurang matang. Kemampuan career adaptability yang baik diyakini dapat menunjang kesiapan untuk mencari pekerjaan. Kesiapan karir yang matang dapat membantu fresh graduate menghadapi tuntutan pekerjaan serta tantangan karir di dunia kerja sehingga memunculkan kebahagiaan di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan career adaptability dan happiness at work pada karyawan fresh graduate. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dengan sampel berjumlah 112 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan dua skala yaitu skala career adaptability dan skala happiness at work. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara career adaptability dan happiness at work pada karyawan fresh graduate (r = 0.688, p = 0.001) yang berarti hipotesis penelitian diterima. Hasil analisis tambahan menunjukkan bahwa aspek career concern memiliki kontribusi sebesar 26,18%, aspek career control 11,67%, aspek career curiosity 8,28%, dan aspek career confidence sebesar 12,86%.

Abstract

PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm) is often triggered by internal (stress, insomnia, fantasy, spirituality) and external (access to pornography, attraction to the opposite sex) motives. In Islam, khauf is a mental attitude that reflects fear of Allah SWT due to the awareness of imperfection in devotion to Him. According to Imam Al-Ghazali, it includes aspects of knowledge, aspects of hal (state of the heart), and aspects of charity. This study aims to explore more deeply the subjective experiences of PMO perpetrators who use Khauf as a mechanism for awareness of moral alarm and motivation for behavioral change. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection used by researchers is semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis model Miles and Huberman. The initial survey conducted by researchers showed that there were 30 respondents, it was found that PMO perpetrators were dominated by men with a percentage of 90% and 10% women. Fifty percent of users engage in PMO three times a week, 33.3% engage in PMO once a week, and 16.7% engage in PMO daily. Factors contributing to PMO include spiritual factors, psychological factors, social environment, education and information, and habits. The study found that khauf (awareness) is a method of managing emotions through a spiritual approach, moral awareness, developing healthy coping strategies, and strengthening support systems for monitoring.

Abstract

Kemampuan public speaking yang efektif sangat penting untuk membangun self-efficacy sejak dini, namun self-efficacy anak Indonesia masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan sebuah program pelatihan public speaking bernama "Speak it Loud!" yang berfokus pada teknik vokal dan praktik langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas program tersebut dalam meningkatkan self-efficacy berbicara di depan umum siswa kelas 4-6 SD yang mengikuti kelas public speaking kids-2 di Talenta Admaja Nusantara (TAN). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control design dan pengambilan data time series (3x pertemuan). Sampel terdiri dari 5 siswa kelas kids-2a (eksperimen) dan 5 siswa kelas kids-2b (kontrol). Data skala self-efficacy dan pretest-posttest dianalisis menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen, dengan nilai signifikansi < 0.05 untuk kedua pengukuran (self-efficacy: 0.043; pretest-posttest: 0.042). Kesimpulannya, program "Speak it Loud!" terbukti efektif meningkatkan self-efficacy berbicara di depan umum pada siswa SD. Dengan program serupa, diharapkan self-efficacy berbicara di depan umum anak Indonesia bisa meningkat signifikan. Abstract Effective public speaking skills are essential for building self-efficacy from an early age, but the self-efficacy of Indonesian children still needs to be improved. This study proposes a public speaking training program called “Speak it Loud!” that focuses on vocal techniques and hands-on practice. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the program in improving the public speaking self-efficacy of 4th-6th grade elementary school students who participated in the Kids-2 public speaking class at Talenta Admaja Nusantara (TAN). This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control design and time series data collection (3 meetings). The sample consisted of 5 students from class kids-2a (experimental) and 5 students from class kids-2b (control). The self-efficacy scale and pretest-posttest data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group, with a significance value of < 0.05 for both measurements (self-efficacy: 0.043; pretest-posttest: 0.042). In conclusion, the “Speak it Loud!” program was proven to be effective in increasing public speaking self-efficacy in elementary school students. With similar programs, it is hoped that the public speaking self-efficacy of Indonesian children can increase significantly.

Abstract

This research discusses the work commitment of contract servant employees in government agencies. Work commitment rears to the voluntary action’s employees take to remain with an organization. Contract servant employees do not receive the same benefits and welfare as civil servant employees. Therefore, employees require work commitment that can have positive impacts on their work, such as improved performance, lower turnover intention, and increased job quality for contract servant employees. The aim of this study is to determine the reasons or factors that drive contract servant employees to stay in an organization for a significant period despite having a considerable workload. The research subject consists of three contract servant employees and two significant others in a government institution. The research data consist of voice recordings that were analysed using Atlas.ti.  The data analysis was categorized according to aspects or coding. The researcher described analysed the data in detail to draw conclusions. The research findings indicate that the main reason contract servant employees are committed to the organization are their realistic expectations, such as being appointed as PPPK employees under ongoing government program, and their hope of receiving better welfare attention from the institution. These three subjects hope that their expectations will be fulfilled as they have been working and committed to the organization for a significant period of timer.Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang komitmen kerja yang dimiliki oleh pegawai non-ASN pada instansi kepemerintahan. Komitmen kerja merupakan tindakan sukarela yang diberikan pegawai kepada suatu instansi dengan tujuan untuk tetap berada di instansi. pegawai non-ASN tidak mendapatkan benefit maupun kesejahteraan yang sama dengan pegawai ASN, hal ini tentu saja mempengauhi kinerja pewai non-ASN. Dengan hal itu, pegawai membutuhkan komitmen kerja yang dapat memebrikan dampak baik dalam pekerjaannya seperti kinerja yang meningkat, rendahnya keinginan turnover, dan meningkatnya kualitas kerja pegawai non-ASN. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui alasan atau hal yag mendasari pegawai non ASN untuk tetap bertahan di instansi dengan periode jabatan yang cukup lama dan jobdesk yang cukup banyak. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pegawai non ASN sejumlah tiga orang dan dua significant other pada suatu instansi pemerintah dengan data penelitian berupa voice record yang dilakukan analisa menggunakan Atlas.ti. Analisa data dibagi dalam kategori-kategori sesuai aspek atau sering disebut juga coding. Peneliti menjabarkan dan menganalisa dengan rinci sehingga memperoleh kesimpulan dari data yang telah diambil. Hasil penelitian manyatakan alasan utama pegawai non-ASN berkomitmen pada instansi, pegawai non ASN memiliki harapan-harapan realistis yang, yaitu diangkatnya menjadi pegawai PPPK seperti program pemerintah yang sedang berjalan, dan diperhatikan lagi kesejahteraannya oleh instansi. ketiga subjek berharap harapannya ini dapat terwujud karena sudah bekerja dan berkomitmen cukup lama dengan instansi.

Abstract

Background: Career adaptability is a crucial psychosocial resource for vocational high school students transitioning from school to work. Psychological Capital (PsyCap) and Adversity Quotient (AQ) are internal strengths assumed to support adaptive career development. Objective: This study examined the predictive roles of PsyCap and AQ in career adaptability among students at SMK Negeri 1 Miri. Method: A quantitative correlational design using multiple linear regression was applied. The sample consisted of 169 twelfth-grade students selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using 1–5 Likert-scale questionnaires measuring PsyCap, AQ, and career adaptability. Classical assumption tests were conducted prior to analysis. Results: Both PsyCap and AQ significantly predicted career adaptability. PsyCap demonstrated a stronger predictive contribution (β = 0.412, p < 0.001) than AQ (β = 0.311, p < 0.001). Simultaneously, the two variables explained 32.7% of the variance in career adaptability (R² = 0.327), indicating a moderate predictive model. Conclusion: The findings emphasize the importance of proactive psychological resources in strengthening vocational students’ readiness for school-to-work transitions. Integrating PsyCap and AQ development into vocational career guidance programs may enhance students’ adaptive capacity and transition preparedness. Abstrak Latar Belakang: Adaptabilitas karier merupakan sumber daya psikososial penting bagi siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan dalam menghadapi transisi sekolah ke dunia kerja. Psychological Capital (PsyCap) dan Adversity Quotient (AQ) dipandang sebagai kekuatan psikologis internal yang mendukung perkembangan karier adaptif. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran prediktif PsyCap dan AQ terhadap adaptabilitas karir siswa SMK Negeri 1 Miri. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Sampel terdiri dari 169 siswa kelas XII yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert 1–5 yang mengukur PsyCap, AQ, dan adaptabilitas karir. Uji asumsi klasik dilakukan sebelum analisis utama. Hasil: PsyCap dan AQ secara signifikan memprediksi adaptabilitas karir. PsyCap menunjukkan kontribusi prediktif yang lebih kuat (β = 0.412, p < 0.001) dibandingkan AQ (β = 0.311, p < 0.001). Secara simultan, kedua variabel menjelaskan 32,7% varians adaptabilitas karir (R² = 0.327), menunjukkan model prediksi yang moderat. Kesimpulan: Temuan menegaskan pentingnya sumber daya psikologis proaktif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan transisi sekolah-ke-dunia kerja pada siswa vokasi. Integrasi pengembangan PsyCap dan AQ dalam program bimbingan karir SMK berpotensi memperkuat kapasitas adaptif siswa.

Abstract

A The aim of this study is to determine the effect of family support as a mediating variable in the relationship between perceived organizational support and work engagement among female workers in the textile industry. The research hypothesis states that perceived organizational support has a significant effect on work engagement with family support as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with regression analysis and mediation testing using Hayes’ Process Model 4. Perceived organizational support was measured using the scale developed by Rhoades & Eisenberger (2002), which includes the dimensions of fairness, supervisor support, and organizational rewards and job conditions. Family support was measured using Friedman’s (2013) scale, which covers emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support. Work engagement was measured using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (2004), which consists of the dimensions vigor, dedication, and absorption. The results of the study show that perceived organizational support has a significant effect on work engagement both directly and indirectly through family support as a mediator. This indicates that family support significantly mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support and work engagement among female workers. This indicates that organizations need to strengthen perceived organizational support through women-friendly policies that promote balance between work and family roles. For female workers, it is important to build cooperative family relationships so that family support becomes more effective and positively contributes to their work engagement.

Abstract

Background: Cases of sexual violence against children, especially girls, are still rampant, one of which is in the form of child grooming. Their lack of understanding of the signs of grooming and self protection skills makes them more vulnerable to becoming victims. Objective: This study aims to examine whether personal safety psychoeducation is effective in increasing junior high school girls' awareness of the dangers of child grooming. Method: This study used an experimental method with a one-group pre-test post-test design, involving 8 female junior high school students at SMP X in Boyolali. Participants were obtained using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a child grooming scale compiled with reference to the aspects proposed by O'Connell. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with the help of SPSS version 22 software. Result: The study showed that personal safety psychoeducation was effective in increasing the awareness of junior high school students at SMP X. This was evidenced by an increase in personal safety skills scores and an increase in students' awareness of the dangers of child grooming, with a significance value of 0.018 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Education on personal safety skills is important for adolescent girls to avoid the dangers of child grooming, which is a subtle and gradual form of abuse. By understanding these dangers and having good personal safety skills, the number of victims of child sexual abuse can be minimized.

Abstract

Global business dynamics demand employees to be proactive and adaptive, but not all individuals are able to adapt optimally. This condition emphasizes the importance of psychological factors and individual-job fit in encouraging adaptive behavior. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and job crafting through person-job fit as a moderator. The study participants were 205 hospitality sector workers obtained through purposive sampling technique. This study used three scale instruments: the job crafting scale (α = 0.894), the occupational self-efficacy scale (α = 0.945), and the person-job fit scale (α = 0.889). The research data were analyzed using a moderation test with the help of the Hayes Process program. The findings of this study confirm that self-efficacy is the main psychological factor that directly encourages job crafting. Person-job fit does not significantly moderate the relationship between self-efficacy and job crafting. Hospitality organizations need to prioritize strengthening employee self-confidence through training, coaching, and mentoring to improve proactive work behavior. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Safe Space Online: Your Zone, Your Rules" psychoeducation program in enhancing prevention knowledge and reducing cyberbullying behavior among phygital generation adolescents. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. Participants consisted of 10 junior high school students in Bantul selected through purposive sampling. The instruments utilized were a 45-item Cyberbullying Behavior Scale (α = 0.929) and a module-based knowledge test. Wilcoxon test results for the experimental group indicated a significant increase in knowledge (p = 0.041; mean increased from 83.00 to 92.00) and a significant decrease in cyberbullying behavior (p = 0.043; mean decreased from 111.00 to 86.60). Effect size analysis revealed a value of r = 0.64 for both variables in the experimental group, confirming a large practical impact of the intervention. In contrast, the control group exhibited no significant changes (r = 0.04). This study concludes that structured psychoeducation effectively transforms adolescent digital interactions through deeper internalization of ethics and self-regulation compared to general digital literacy.
