Abstract

A supply chain is a network of companies that work together to make and deliver products to end consumers. Specific market segments consume agricultural products and have a supply chain structure consisting of individuals based on trust between actors. Most companies in Indonesia have implemented supply chain management, but many have not maximized it, so it runs less effectively and efficiently. The problem in the FR tofu agroindustry is the incompatibility of the delivery schedule of soybean raw materials. This is due to climate change, poor weather conditions, and trade policies between countries that impact imported soybean production, which will hamper the production process in the FR tofu agroindustry. This study analyzes the supply chain flow of tofu products in the FR tofu agroindustry. The research was conducted at the FR tofu agroindustry in Sepande Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, from February to March 2024. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. This study's informants were six: 1 owner of FR tofu agroindustry, two people in tofu production, one soybean supplier, one cooperative employee, and one tofu retailer trader. The results showed that the supply chain flow of tofu products in the FR tofu agroindustry consisted of three flows, namely the flow of product (upstream to downstream), the flow of financial (downstream to upstream), and the flow of information (upstream to downstream and vice versa) The parties involved in the supply chain of tofu products are CV Rahardjo Indobeans, KOPTI "Karya Mulya" FR tofu agroindustry, and retail traders. This research suggests that the FR tofu agroindustry needs to build stronger relationships with local and imported soybean suppliers.

Abstract

Green beans are the most important food crop in Indonesia and production continues to increase to meet domestic demand. However, production is still insufficient due to several risks faced by farmers. This research analyzes the risk management of green bean production in Gluranploso Village using the Coefficient of Variation (KV) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. The results showed that yield variation was relatively low with a KV value of 17%, indicating good yield stability. The FMEA analysis identified four main sources of risk affecting production: seed aspect with an RPN value of 5.808, weather with an RPN value of 7.04, pests and diseases with an RPN value of 12.936, and technical aspects with an RPN value of 47.88, particularly delays in pest and disease control spraying. In addition, the market aspect is also a source of risk with the largest value in the increase in production input prices at 12.288. These sources require special attention in risk management. The study concludes that the implementation of appropriate risk management strategies, focusing on the identified key risk sources, can help farmers improve yield stability and farm profitability. These strategies include improving seed quality, mitigating weather risks, controlling pests and diseases, and improving technical procedures in cultivation and market risks. Thus, effective risk management can be key in increasing the productivity and sustainability of green bean farming in Gluranploso village.

Abstract

Abstract

Efforts to diversify corn-based processed products have not been widely carried out by the community, including LMDH in Candisari village, Lamongan Regency. This is due to the lack of knowledge and skills in the community regarding innovations in corn-based food processing, and people are more likely to sell corn directly to middlemen to make ends meet. The main aim of this socialization is to provide LMDH with a solution on how to use sweet corn in the Candisari Village area to process it into marketable food products using simple technology. This is the basis for socialization activities and the use of corn processing carried out in Candisari Village, Sambeng District, Lamongan Regency. The result of the socialization is an increase in community knowledge and skills in innovation in corn pudding processing and product marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of harvested area, rice prices, rice consumption, and population on food security in East Java Province. The data used are secondary panel data from 38 districts/cities over the 2020–2024 period, analyzed using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. Model selection was determined through Chow and Hausman tests, where the Chow test favored FEM and the Hausman test indicated REM; however, FEM was retained for deeper interpretation due to its stronger within-group explanatory power. The estimation results show that harvested area (coef = 0.0000721; p < 0.01), rice prices (coef = 0.0009185; p < 0.01), and population (coef = 0.00001874; p < 0.01) have a positive and significant effect on food security, while rice consumption has no significant impact. The within R² value of 0.5272 indicates that the model can explain 52.72% of the variation in food security within regions. These findings emphasize the need for regionally adaptive agricultural policies and spatial food distribution improvements to enhance resilience and food system performance.

Abstract

Chili is a strategic agribusiness commodity in Indonesia with high economic value, mainly processed products such as chili sauce. Sambal Bu Sandra is a micro-entrepreneur producing instant chili sauce and has utilized the Shopee e-commerce platform since 2016. However, amidst the increasing trend of chili sauce consumption, this brand faces challenges in optimizing digital marketing and intense competition. This study aims to formulate an optimal digital marketing strategy to improve Sambal Bu Sandra's sales performance on Shopee. The method used is a SWOT analysis, which includes the preparation of IFAS and EFAS matrices to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The analysis results show that the business is in quadrant I in the IE matrix, which reflects strong internal conditions and significant external opportunities. The resulting strategies include collaborative product development, optimization of Shopee features (such as Shopee Live and Shopee Ads), digital campaigns based on customer reviews, and adoption of a pre-order system. This study concludes that SWOT integration can provide strategic recommendations based on actual business conditions, which, if applied consistently, can potentially strengthen the brand's position in a competitive digital market.

Abstract

This study examines the root causes of failures in the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on human resource factors and employee work behavior. Although GMP implementation has been widely studied, research that positions behavioral aspects as the primary root cause of GMP non-compliance at the SME level remains limited. This study aims to analyze corrective actions based on the root causes of GMP non-compliance that do not meet established standards. The study employs a qualitative analysis method using interview and questionnaire approaches, with data analyzed using NVivo version 12 Pro software. The assessment of GMP implementation at CV Dua Putri Sholehah was conducted based on eleven aspects and involved ten informants from the production, packaging, and peeling sections. The results indicate that employee health and hygiene are the most problematic aspects, particularly low compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Root cause analysis reveals that failures in GMP implementation are more dominantly influenced by employee behavioral factors related to weak internal regulations and supervision systems rather than limitations in physical facilities. These findings provide a new perspective in the food safety literature by emphasizing that successful GMP implementation in SMEs is highly dependent on the management of employee behavior and compliance. The recommended corrective actions include optimizing regulations and supervision through the improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strengthening supervision systems, consistent enforcement of sanctions, increasing GMP socialization and education, and conducting regular audits and evaluations.

Abstract

The establishment of Strategic Alliances or operational cooperation with strategic partners of the Wood Industry around the Perum Perhutani work area is a necessity to increase competitiveness. This study attempts to elaborate on the Strategic Alliance between the Perhutani Wood Industry and its partners to be able to achieve a Competitive Advantage through the development of Market Areas and the development of Product Innovations or in other words to find out to what extent the Strategic Alliance can improve the position of the Perum Perhutani Wood Industry Competitive Advantage. In addition, this study also aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of the Strategic Alliance, through the development of Market Areas and Product Innovation in the Perum Perhutani Wood Industry, influences increasing Competitive Advantage. This research is descriptive and uses a qualitative approach. This research uses a literature study technique and utilizes data sources obtained from several locations, namely (1) Perhutani Forestry Institute Library, (2) Brawijaya University Central Library, and (3) Discussion with colleagues. From the research results, it is known that the Strategic Alliance model that aims to increase Competitive Advantage is the most appropriate to be applied in Perum Perhutani is a form of Strategic Alliance that focuses on the interests of cooperation in increasing Product Innovation to realize Competitive Advantage, compared to the Strategic Alliance through the development of Market Areas. It is necessary to redevelop a good Strategic Alliance with the Wood Industry business partner Perum Perhutani by implementing: (1) Reconciliation of the Wood Industry business actors who join based on compatibility, mutual need, and mutual benefit; (2) Focus and professional; (3) Pooling of resources on what is already owned by the wood industry business partners so that a perfect alliance will have an impact on the success of Perum Perhutani to become a superior company.
