Abstract

This type of research is associative quantitative research which has the aim of analyzing partially or simultaneously the effect of price, product quality and consumer reviews on purchasing decisions on the Shopee online shopping platform at Medan State University. The sample used in this study was 40 respondents obtained using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was taken using a questionnaire via Google Form. The data analysis method uses validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test and F test, and the coefficient of determination with computational data calculation and processing. The validity test results on the 20 instrument items used show rcount> rtable, and the Cronbach Alpha value> 0.6 so it can be concluded that the data obtained is valid and reliable. The results of hypothesis testing show that price and product quality do not have a positive influence on purchasing decisions on the Shopee platform, while consumer reviews show that there is a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions on the Shopee platform at Medan State University with a tcount value = 4.513> ttable = 1.688 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. For simultaneous testing, it shows that there is an influence between price, product quality, and consumer reviews on purchasing decisions with a value of Fhitung> Ftabel = 18,983> 2.87 with a significance value = 0.000 < 0.05. As an implication of this research, there needs to be further research related to the effect of price and product quality using different dependent variables.

Abstract

Production disruptions remain a major challenge in the manufacturing industry, including at Indonesia's largest bread company, PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk., which relies on a large-scale automated production system. Despite using modern technology and integrated management systems, the factory often faces technical obstacles that impact production efficiency and continuity. This study aims to analyze the factors that hinder the production process and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance system at the Medan Factory of PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation of employees who are competent in the fields of production and maintenance. The results of the study show that the main obstacles stem from technical factors related to machinery, while human error and delays in raw materials are relatively minimal due to an automated work system and efficient raw material management. High dependence on machinery means that any damage has a direct impact on production continuity. The maintenance system implemented by the company consists of two layers, namely periodic preventive maintenance by technicians from Japan and corrective maintenance by company technicians who are on standby. Although effective in preventing major damage, disruptions still occur between maintenance periods, indicating the need to increase the frequency of maintenance, implement real-time machine condition monitoring, and integrate predictive maintenance to continuously improve production reliability and efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine a model of students’ digital entrepreneurial intention by analyzing the roles of entrepreneurship learning, digital literacy, and self-efficacy. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed involving 200 students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that entrepreneurship learning has a positive and significant effect on digital entrepreneurial intention, while digital literacy and self-efficacy also have significant positive effects. Furthermore, entrepreneurship learning and digital literacy significantly enhance students’ self-efficacy. The mediation analysis demonstrates that self-efficacy significantly mediates the effects of both entrepreneurship learning and digital literacy on digital entrepreneurial intention. The model explains 85.9% of the variance in digital entrepreneurial intention and 87.2% of the variance in self-efficacy. These findings indicate that strengthening students’ digital entrepreneurial intention requires an integrated approach combining entrepreneurship learning, digital competencies, and psychological confidence. The study provides practical implications for higher education institutions in designing entrepreneurship learning that incorporates digital technology, experiential activities, and strategies for strengthening students’ self-efficacy.
