Abstract

Madrasas as Islamic educational institutions have several advantages compared to other types of schools. The advantages possessed by madrasas include: vitality, fighting power, endurance, adaptability and evolution, and diversity. This research uses a quantitative approach by creating and distributing questionnaires. Primary data was obtained directly from the results of distributing questionnaires to respondents consisting of 100 student representatives, 38 educational staff representatives and 72 teaching staff representatives. Because the data from this research was obtained through distribution of armatures using the Google Form application, the data processing process also uses statistical formula applications that are integrated with existing questionnaires and Google Forms. The research aims to understand the forms of MAN 2 Serang City's excellent service strategy as a madrasa model or as a Boarding School-based madrasa as well as certain factors that support and inhibit the implementation of the excellent service strategy. The results of the research show that Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Serang City acts as a model madrasa based on Islamic boarding schools and is a center for the development of madrasas in the surrounding area. Implementation of quality education services at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Serang City focuses on providing learning needs, one-stop integrated services (PTSP), digital-based services, as well as facilities and infrastructure services.

Abstract

This research aims to review the Modernization of Islamic Education in Indonesia, the challenges, and how the modernization of Islamic Education develops. The method used in this study is a literature review, the data of which was obtained by reviewing several database sites, namely Google Scholar. The study results show that traditional educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools that initially only taught religious knowledge have opened themselves up by carrying out general education for students. However, the dualism of the Ministry of Religion and the Ministry of Education is a problem that must be solved. The researcher argues that these two institutions must synergize well and have synchronization in terms of education policies. Kiyai, who became a teacher in the traditional era, now has to collaborate with modern teachers to build a modern Islamic education civilization. The existence of kiyai and teachers is not to be separated but must be synergized to create better competencies (knowledge, skills, and attitude) in the young generation of Islam.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic fundraising strategies to enhance donor participation in the development of Islamic educational institutions. In the context of globalization and increasing competition, Islamic educational institutions often face financial constraints that hinder educational development and quality. Through a qualitative approach based on a comprehensive literature review, this research analyzes the concepts, methods, and principles of Islamic fundraising and their impact on Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that Islamic fundraising, rooted in the Quran and Hadith, is not only effective in raising funds but also strengthens Islamic identity and values in education. Direct and indirect fundraising methods, combined with strategies such as face-to-face interactions, direct mail, special events, and campaigns, prove to increase donor participation. Principles such as education, ethics, professionalism, and transparency are key to building donor trust and loyalty. Significant impacts of implementing Islamic fundraising include increased financial resources, donor satisfaction, positive institutional image, and encouragement of innovation and creativity in the educational environment. This study concludes that integrated and technology-based Islamic fundraising strategies can effectively enhance donor participation and support the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. Recommendations for future research include exploring innovative fundraising strategies and improving inter-institutional collaboration to create a sustainable Islamic education ecosystem. The study also finds that the financial independence of Islamic educational institutions through income diversification and operational efficiency is crucial to complement Islamic fundraising strategies.
