Abstract

Technology facilitates the process of futsal field rental, such as payment queueing and real-time monitoring. An Android application has been developed to manage payment queueing and futsal field rental at Novega Futsal Court, addressing inefficiencies of traditional methods that decrease customer satisfaction. Utilizing Rapid Application Development (RAD) and First In First Out (FIFO) method, this application designed expedite and enhance the queueing process. Data was collected through direct interaction with respondents and on-site observation, while its development involved the use of React Native and Node.js. Testing results indicate the application functions as expected, enabling users to easily rent and pay, and assisting managers in efficiently organizing queues. This application enhances service efficiency and customer satisfaction, making a positive contribution to technology-based futsal management.

Abstract

Eco-pedagogy is an educational approach that places emphasis on the relationship between humans and the natural world, and encourages the undertaking of practical actions for the benefit of environmental sustainability. The objective of this study is to enhance students' environmental literacy and creative thinking abilities through the Earth and Space Science (ESS) integrated eco-pedagogy (EcoP) modules. This research is development research (R & D) using 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were 22 prospective physics teacher students. Data on environmental literacy and creative thinking skills were collected through pre-test and post-test by using the environmental literacy test and creative thinking skills questionnaire. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the validated ESS-EcoP module integrated with eco-pedagogy can markedly enhance 65.05% students' environmental literacy and 55.49% students’ creative thinking skills. This research is anticipated to contribute to the advancement of innovative learning models that can augment students' awareness and concern for the environment.

Abstract

Background: Lead is a heavy metal that can be found in the environment. Lead can be naturally occurring or produced from human activities. Lead entering the body can cause oxidative stress which can then cause cell damage. Iodine in the body can act as an antioxidant which then prevents oxidative stress. Methods: This study is an experimental study on 18 Rattus novergicus rats conducted for 19 days. Rats were divided into three groups: negative, positive control group, and treatment group. On the 20th day the rats were killed then the hepatic organs were taken and preparations were made. The preparations were assessed using Knodell’s Score. Data were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and then followed by Mann-Whitney Test. Results: The negative control group showed that the dominant is in the form of normal hepatocytes whilst the positive control group hepatic cells experienced cell damage in the form of inflammation, degeneration, and necrosis. In the treatment group, damage to hepatic cells was lower than the positive control group. Conclusion: There is an effect of iodine solution administration in preventing damage to rat hepatic cells induced by lead acetate.
