Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (Covid-19) is one of the disorders of the respiratory system. Based on data on the number of Covid-19 exposures in Indonesia that were confirmed positive as many as 6,512,913 cases, patients recovered as many as 6,319,990 cases, and died 158,768 people (Ministry of Health RI, 2022). Therapi rprogressive muscle elaxation is an exercise in muscle activity, tense muscles then lower tension by performing relaxation techniques to get a feeling of relaxation. Purpose: the purpose of this progressive muscle relaxation therapi, which is to lower tension so that it is more relaxed. This study is to measure the effectiveness of progressive muscle reflexes against decreasing anxiety levels in Second degree students who are currently practicing clinically and have confirmed Covid-19. The population used was Second degree students who were confirmed with Covid-19 at STIKes Ahmad Dahlan Cirebon, the sample or respondents in this study were second degree students who were confirmed with Covid-19 who were self-isolating after being confirmed with Covid-19 . Methods: In this study, quantitative research methods, using purposive sampling with quasi-experimental study pretest-posttest one group design research design. This study took from 22 students who practiced clinics and confirmed Covid-19 students who were exposed to Covid-19. At the value of the level of anxiety after being administered a progressive muscle relaxation therapi is 2.17 with a standard deviation of 0.381. The results of the statistical test obtained a p value of 0.000, then p < α where H 0 was rejected, meaning that there was a significant influence on the level of student anxiety before and after progressive relaxation. It is hoped that this research can be used as one of the implementations of nonpharmacology therapi to patients who have been confirmed with Covid-19 to reduce anxiety levels through the administration of his progressive muscle relaxation therapi. Abstract

Health education in early childhood is an important step to establish a healthy lifestyle from a young age. One simple habit that needs to be taught is washing hands properly, especially before eating. This activity was carried out at Wadi Fatimah Kindergarten, Cirebon, to introduce and educate children about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene. The habit of washing hands properly is an effective step in preventing the spread of diseases, such as diarrhea and respiratory infections. This counseling teaches the steps of proper handwashing, such as wetting the hands, rubbing the palms and backs of the hands, cleaning between the fingers, rubbing the nails, cleaning the thumbs, and rinsing the hands thoroughly. To make it more interesting, the methods used include educational games and interactive videos, making it easier for children to understand and remember. The activities are designed to be child-friendly with simple language and interesting illustrations. Children are given the opportunity to practice directly, while parents and teachers are involved so that this habit can be applied at home and school. With this counseling, it is hoped to create a generation that is aware of the importance of hygiene, so that the overall health of the community can improve.

Abstract

Diarrhea remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children. It is crucial for mothers to have the right knowledge and attitudes in prevention efforts. One step that can be taken is to provide easy and relevant health education regarding early diarrhea prevention. The study aims to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers about diarrhea in toddlers. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest, with purposive sampling and a sample size of 34 people. The analysis test of this study was the dependent T-test for the level of maternal knowledge, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test for attitudes. Based on the analysis results, there was a difference in the average knowledge score between before and after the educational intervention. The average pre-test knowledge score was 4.76 (SD = 1.50) and increased to 8.41 (SD = 2.36) post-test. For the attitude variable, the average pre-test score was 7.71 (SD = 2.05) and the post-test score increased to 16.00 (SD = 0.82). The education was proven to be effective in improving mothers' knowledge and attitudes. Health workers continuously provide education to improve knowledge and attitudes.

This study used quantitative methods with an observational analytic design cross-sectional approach. The selected population was women aged 15 to 45 years Getakmoyan village. The result, because the ρ value is greater than α = 0.05. The results showed that 16 respondents who were obese and had hypertension had a ρ value of 0.007 (α = 0.05 because the ρ value was smaller than α). Overall, lifestyle factors such as obesity and diet have a greater influence than family history on the risk of hypertension in women of childbearing age.
