Abstract

Bandung is the 3rd metropolitan city and one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia, which provides various benefits, such as opening up employment opportunities because there are various business fields that are developing. It also increases cultural preservation because increasing tourism interest can provide incentives to preserve the heritage, culture, and history of an area. However, despite these various benefits, the high number of tourists often makes traffic jams worse. Therefore,  at the end of 2021, the government launched “Teman Bus” programme with the Buy the Service (BTS) scheme as a new breakthrough that is expected to not only be able to overcome traffic jams but also reduce pollution, supports reform in the transportation sector and can be a means of changing people's behaviour from one that tends to be conventional to one that is more digitally literate. However, the fact is that up to the time the research was conducted, there were still many Bandung residents who had not chosen to switch from private transportation to mass transportation services, so the researchers tried to take an approach using the six implementation variables proposed by Van Meter and Van Horn to find out what factors influenced the course of this policy.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve digital literacy and tax compliance among micro and small business operators in the WTC (Way Tebing Ceppa) tourism area, South Lampung. The primary issues addressed include the lack of digital financial recording practices and low awareness of tax obligations. Through a participatory approach involving training and mentoring, participants were introduced to digital business tools and basic tax administration. Results show a significant improvement in digital and fiscal knowledge, with increased use of financial recording applications and successful registration of Tax Identification Numbers (NPWP). This initiative supports the development of a transparent, compliant, and technology-adaptive tourism economy.

Abstract

Abstract

Community service is an activity aimed at contributing to society without expecting financial compensation. Students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) have carried out such activities in Way Kalam Village, Penengahan District, by utilizing the natural resources available in the area. The main focus of the program was the processing of palm sap into palm sugar, characterized by its unique flavor and fine-grain texture. During the implementation, the local community was introduced to an innovative method of processing palm sap into palm sugar. The community’s response was highly positive, as reflected in their enthusiasm and active participation. Moreover, they came to understand that the production process is relatively simple and holds promising market potential. This community service initiative has had a meaningful impact, not only by enhancing knowledge about alternative business opportunities but also by contributing to the economic improvement of the local population.
