Abstract

An access road is a road traveled by ARFF vehicles to connect the fire station with the runway or aircraft movement area. This research aims to identify the situation and opportunity of the access road built in Juwata Tarakan Airport to provide response time by rearranging aircraft movement management on the Main Apron and Taxiway. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with gap analysis techniques and uses data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study can be used as a reference and guide in designing access roads under applicable regulations, and it is expected to complement and expand references in the development of science in the field of air transportation management. In addition, the position of the Fire Station is close to one of the Runways and is not in a strategic location (0°). So that we can achieve faster response time to the nearest Runway, the conclusion is that the Juwata Airport ARFF Unit cannot build an access road to national regulations because the Fire Station is directly opposite the old Apron and Taxiway. It is expected that Juwata Airport can make rearrangements related to aircraft movement management on the Main Apron and Taxiway.

Abstract

Qurban is not only a religious ritual with spiritual significance but also an instrument of Islamic philanthropy that strengthens social solidarity and community welfare. At the same time, qurban activities involve various operational hazards that require the implementation of a safety culture. This community service program aimed to implement the Safe Qurban model by integrating collective philanthropy and aviation safety culture into the organization of Qurban 1447 H at Baitul Ilmi Mosque, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The program was carried out through several stages, including fundraising through the Shodaqoh Qurban Program, hazard identification, safety planning, qurban implementation, benefit distribution, and program evaluation. The results demonstrated that collective philanthropy successfully broadened community participation in qurban activities through collaborative contributions while fostering social solidarity, empathy, and mutual assistance. The application of safety culture was reflected in hazard identification, risk control, safety communication, clear task allocation, and emergency preparedness throughout the implementation process. The integration of these two approaches generated broader social benefits while simultaneously enhancing safety awareness among all participants. The program resulted in the development of the Safe Qurban model as an innovative community service approach that combines the values of Islamic philanthropy with safety culture practices adapted from the aviation sector. This model has the potential to be replicated in other social and community-based activities involving multiple stakeholders and operational risks. Abstract

Kesiapan personel Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK) menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam menghadapi kondisi darurat di bandar udara. Dalam pelaksanaan tugas tersebut, penguasaan firemanship diperlukan agar personel mampu menerapkan teknik pemadaman dan menggunakan peralatan secara tepat sesuai prosedur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan dasar firemanship serta hubungannya dengan pelaksanaan operasi pemadam kebakaran pada Unit PKP-PK Bandar Udara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert lima tingkat dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Responden penelitian berjumlah 32 personel PKP-PK yang dipilih dari populasi sebanyak 37 personel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan dasar firemanship memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan secara statistik dengan pelaksanaan operasi pemadam kebakaran, dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 1,359, nilai t sebesar 27,174, dan signifikansi 0,000. Nilai korelasi sebesar 0,980 menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat, sedangkan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,961 menunjukkan bahwa model menjelaskan 96,1% variasi pelaksanaan operasi pemadam kebakaran. Kesimpulannya, penguatan keterampilan firemanship melalui latihan dan evaluasi kompetensi secara berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk mendukung kesiapan operasional personel PKP-PK.
