Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis Perbandingan Infiltrasi Tanah Menggunakan Dua Metode Sebagai Dasar Menghitung Desain Sistem Drainase Bandar Udara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan laju infiltrasi tanah menggunakan dua metode, yaitu metode Double Ring Infiltrometer dan metode Horton, sebagai dasar perhitungan desain sistem drainase bandar udara yang efektif dan adaptif terhadap kondisi lokal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data lapangan dan kalibrasi model matematis. Metode Double Ring Infiltrometer digunakan untuk memperoleh data infiltrasi aktual, sedangkan metode Horton diaplikasikan untuk memodelkan laju infiltrasi secara teoritis berdasarkan hasil pengukuran. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa laju infiltrasi awal mencapai 0,5 cm/menit dan menurun menjadi konstan sebesar 0,1 cm/menit setelah tanah mencapai kondisi jenuh. Metode Horton menggambarkan penurunan laju infiltrasi secara eksponensial dan mampu mendekati hasil pengukuran lapangan dengan pola konsisten. Perbandingan kedua metode menunjukkan bahwa keduanya saling melengkapi, dengan Double Ring Infiltrometer memberikan data aktual dan Horton memberikan pendekatan prediktif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kedua metode dapat digunakan secara terpadu dalam perencanaan sistem drainase bandar udara. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan teknis tidak hanya untuk mitigasi banjir, tetapi juga dalam perancangan landasan pacu dan infrastruktur pendukung yang membutuhkan data infiltrasi sebagai dasar perhitungan kestabilan tanah dan sistem pengelolaan air hujan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of using X-ray equipment as a practical media in improving the competence of students of the Airport Management Study Program. The research method uses a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at the Airport Management Study Programme, MBU 04 class. This research involved lecturers and students. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique according to data needs. Data collection was conducted through three techniques, namely observation, interview, and documentation study. To analyse the data, this study adopted the Miles and Huberman model which includes four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of X-ray equipment can improve students' theoretical understanding and practical skills in terms of baggage security checks. Lecturers and students stated that hands-on practice with X-ray helped understand real airport security procedures. However, the study also identified some obstacles such as the limited number of equipment and the need for technological updates to adapt to modern airport standards that already use CT Scan systems and AI-based detection. The conclusion of this study is that X-ray equipment as a practical medium in learning can improve student competence.

Abstract

Gedung Serba Guna (GSG) di sebagai Gedung komersil di Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang merupakan aset vital yang menopang kegiatan institusional dan komersial berfrekuensi tinggi, sehingga keandalan sistem pendingin udara (Air Conditioning - AC) menjadi krusial. Saat ini, pendekatan pemeliharaan yang diterapkan bersifat dominan reaktif, yang menimbulkan risiko operasional signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pemeliharaan yang ada dan menerapkan kerangka kerja Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) untuk mengidentifikasi mode kegagalan kritis dan meningkatkan keandalan sistem AC secara keseluruhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, analisis dokumentasi, dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan personel kunci. Metode analisis inti yang digunakan adalah Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengukur dan memprioritaskan risiko dengan menghitung Risk Priority Number (RPN) untuk setiap potensi kegagalan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa praktik pemeliharaan saat ini tidak terjadwal dan dipicu oleh keluhan, yang mengakibatkan kegagalan yang sebenarnya dapat dicegah. FMEA berhasil mengidentifikasi beberapa mode kegagalan berisiko tinggi, dengan panas berlebih pada kompresor akibat unit outdoor yang tersumbat menunjukkan RPN tertinggi. Ditemukan pula adanya diskoneksi persepsi risiko antara manajemen fasilitas yang berhadapan dengan pengguna dan tim teknis yang berfokus pada penggunaan peralatan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pergeseran dari strategi reaktif ke strategi pemeliharaan proaktif berbasis risiko adalah suatu keharusan. Implementasi program RBM, yang berfokus pada komponen dengan RPN tinggi dan penetapan pemantauan berbasis kondisi, direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan keandalan sistem, mengoptimalkan alokasi sumber daya, dan menjamin kontinuitas operasional GSG. Abstract

Qurban is not only a religious ritual with spiritual significance but also an instrument of Islamic philanthropy that strengthens social solidarity and community welfare. At the same time, qurban activities involve various operational hazards that require the implementation of a safety culture. This community service program aimed to implement the Safe Qurban model by integrating collective philanthropy and aviation safety culture into the organization of Qurban 1447 H at Baitul Ilmi Mosque, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The program was carried out through several stages, including fundraising through the Shodaqoh Qurban Program, hazard identification, safety planning, qurban implementation, benefit distribution, and program evaluation. The results demonstrated that collective philanthropy successfully broadened community participation in qurban activities through collaborative contributions while fostering social solidarity, empathy, and mutual assistance. The application of safety culture was reflected in hazard identification, risk control, safety communication, clear task allocation, and emergency preparedness throughout the implementation process. The integration of these two approaches generated broader social benefits while simultaneously enhancing safety awareness among all participants. The program resulted in the development of the Safe Qurban model as an innovative community service approach that combines the values of Islamic philanthropy with safety culture practices adapted from the aviation sector. This model has the potential to be replicated in other social and community-based activities involving multiple stakeholders and operational risks. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of a STEM-based learning intervention on aviation cadets’ understanding of radiotelephony practices. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design involving 18 cadets in the experimental group (MBU 06 A), who received STEM-based learning through a radiotelephony simulation module, and 17 cadets in the control group (MBU 06 B), who received conventional instruction. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test after the assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variance were satisfied at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that post-test scores in the experimental group were significantly higher (M = 83.17, SD = 1.95) than those in the control group (M = 69.94, SD = 1.39), with a statistically significant difference (p < .05). These findings indicate that the integration of STEM-based learning and simulation activities can enhance the effectiveness of radiotelephony instruction and better prepare aviation cadets for operational communication tasks. The novelty of this study lies in the application of a STEM-based learning framework specifically to radiotelephony training within aviation education, an area that has received limited empirical attention. This research contributes evidence that STEM-based learning is an effective pedagogical strategy for developing practical radiotelephony competence and offers valuable implications for the improvement of aviation training curricula.
