Abstract

Children are a vulnerable group with the potential to face the law. Children who conflict with the law then experience multiple levels of vulnerability due to their inability to develop themselves without restrictions and stigmatization from society. Globally, children in conflict with the law have been instructed to get the opportunity for restorative justice, namely justice intended to protect the interests of children. Indonesia has also established restorative justice through a diversion policy scheme. However, to date, this diversion policy has yet to be fully implemented due to a lack of legitimacy from the community and a lack of operational resources. Therefore, researchers feel that research on this issue is essential because of its significant impact on legal reform objectives in Indonesia. This research used the perspective of democracy, trust, and citizenship to accommodate participatory values and obligations in restorative practices. Qualitative methods using critical informant interview data were used in this research. The results are that restorative justice and restorative policies can accommodate democratic practices. However, for their implementation to be more optimal, there needs to be an increase in trust and civic awareness.

Abstract

Background: The women farmers play a crucial role in Indonesian villages. It needs the empowerment model for addressing the challenges and opportunities so the women farmers can increase her capacity especially in the agriculture system and family quality. By this condition we conduct research that focuses on the process of empowerment to achieve wellbeing and sustainable development. Method: Data drawing on a literature review, best practices, and real-life narratives. Findings: The data shows that despite their significant contribution to agriculture, women farmers are facing a lack of resources like land, credit, and information. Social norms build can relegate them to less demanding tasks, while decision-making power frequently resides with men. These persistent gender biases hinder their full potential and limit their agency. The narrative analysis reveals the remarkable resilience of women farmers. They manage their farms efficiently, innovate to adapt to changing circumstances, and find purpose and well-being through their work.  The stories showcase their crucial role in rural economies and their capacity to overcome limitations. The research identifies key areas to empower women farmers and achieve sustainable development. Conclusions: Investing in their well-being through access to healthcare, childcare, and financial security empowers them to invest in themselves and their families.  Promoting sustainable practices through training programs equips them with the tools to nurture the land for future generations.  Fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration creates a network for innovation and best practices to flourish.  Finally, breaking down gender barriers and promoting women's leadership in agriculture is crucial for achieving true empowerment and a more equitable future. By prioritizing the well-being of women farmers and fostering sustainable practices, we can create a virtuous cycle. Empowered women farmers contribute to a more secure and nourishing future, not just for themselves and their families, but for the entire community and the environment they sustain. Investing in women farmers is an investment in a future where well-being and sustainability go hand in hand. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed various sectors, such as the economy, health and education, which has resulted in problems stemming from the hindrances in the activities of the three sectors. Even though it was over, the problems formed during that period remain and require an integrative solution. The government is primarily responsible for overcoming it, but during the pandemic, many grassroots collective works have emerged which have significantly overcome societal problems. One of the forms of this grassroots work is the Sbatan Jogja (SONJO) community. SONJO is a multi-actor movement that, during the pandemic, moved massively to organise informal social protection to reduce social risks due to economic, health and education problems. This research will focus on this issue using a qualitative case study method. Data was obtained based on interviews with SONJO initiators. The results obtained were that SONJO was an intermediary actor in the distribution of informal social protection during the COVID-19 pandemic in DI Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Gender-based development in its implementation has challenges along with its characteristics, to be specific in efforts to achieve gender equality. Gender discrimination still occurs in Indonesia. It has become a culture in society which increasingly places women in a marginalized position. In this case, gender-based development is one of the main goals of the country’s development, as stated in the 2005-2025 RPJPN. Gender-appropriate roles need to be supported by efforts to optimize the role of women to bring about active participation in the development and eliminate inequality experienced by women. One way to realize gender-based development is through empowering women in informal work. The method used is qualitative, and data collection is carried out through semi-structured interviews and content analysis on media which that refer to the topic. The data is analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models with data reduction, data display, conclusions drawing/ verification, and given recommendations. The results of this study indicate that gender- based development in D.I. Yogyakarta has yet to succeed in reaching the understanding of the community, especially women informal workers.

Abstract

The tourism trend that is currently developing is the halal tourism trend. The trend towards halal tourism appears because the world's Muslim population currently reaches 1.9 billion and represents a relatively large religious population. One country that has also discussed offering halal tourism is Indonesia. With a Muslim population of around 231 million, Indonesia has the world's largest Muslim population. The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is currently focusing on developing halal tourism, emphasising improving services, especially services that serve the great potential of halal tourism (Muslim-friendly). This study focuses on organizing halal tourism in Lombok, a tourist destination in Indonesia that is internationally recognized for organizing halal tourism. In particular, this study discusses the practices of each activity, such as honeymoon packages or trips to certain locations, as well as the provision of prayer rooms, separate toilets for men and women, and halal certification of halal tourism products in Lombok. Then it analyzes the impact of identity and development—multicultural people towards justice. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method using library materials. The study results show that halal tourism plays an important role in the justice process in representing identity in Lombok. Diversity also creates multicultural understanding for tourists, tour operators and the community. This cross-cultural, reflexive and contextual understanding can be used to advance human development, especially by increasing the standard of living and proper education.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the intersection of e-government and social inclusion through a bibliometric analysis of e-inclusion research. Drawing on 97 publications indexed in Scopus, the analysis was conducted using VOS viewer and NVivo 12 Plus to identify research trends, dominant themes, and collaborative networks among scholars, institutions, and countries. The findings reveal that e-government plays a critical role in promoting inclusive governance by enhancing digital access, participation, and service delivery. However, challenges such as the digital divide and unequal digital skills continue to hinder broader social inclusion. Thematic clusters identified include empowerment, accessibility, digital literacy, and trust. Developed and developing countries alike contribute to this field, although research remains uneven. This study offers valuable insights into the evolving discourse on e-inclusion and highlights gaps for future exploration. The findings are intended to inform policymakers, scholars, and practitioners in designing more equitable and inclusive digital governance frameworks.
