Abstract

The main focus of this research is to examine the role of charismatic kyai leadership in integrating the values of religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data collection was obtained through observation and in-depth interviews. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out in stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification and drawing conclusions. The research results show that charismatic kyai use a local cultural approach to convey messages of religious moderation, so that these values are more easily accepted and internalized by the students. Through preserving cultural heritage, kyai utilize local traditions and wisdom as a means of instilling the values of religious moderation, which not only preserves cultural identity but also enriches the spirituality of students with values of tolerance and togetherness. Apart from that, the legitimacy of religious moderation is strengthened through the use of classical Islamic intellectual treasures, where the teachings of previous ulama are used as a basis for developing moderate religious understanding. By referring to the teachings of classical ulama, the kyai succeeded in providing a strong intellectual basis for the implementation of religious moderation, which is in harmony with the rich Islamic tradition. In conclusion, the leadership of the charismatic kyai at the Al-Baqiyatush Shabayar Islamic Boarding School is effective in promoting religious moderation through synergy between cultural preservation and Islamic intellectual treasures.

Abstract

In this research, the author is very interested in taking the title of research on human beings and their pre-conceptual nature of Sunni and Shia, the research will discuss the differences in religious views, scholars, philosophical scientists and human beings according to Sunni and Shia views. If observed more deeply about the nature and character of human beings who have an orderly language, have the ability to speak, think and so on, there are a lot of human traits that we need to observe, especially according to the Sunni and Shia understanding. journals, articles, research reports, and other written sources. Especially it will be taken from the Sunni and Shia perspective master book. The Shia understanding does not focus on the concept of perfect man, but according to them man achieves moral and spiritual perfection by serving Allah Swt. More precisely, their teachings on ahlul bayt, in this concept their understanding is more about man seeking their truth, trusting the twelve imams as the inheritors of knowledge and being an example for man in achieving their spiritual and moral goals. This study analyzes the comparison between Sunni and Shia perspectives by focusing on the differences in views and hadiths about human beings and their traits contained in the master books of each of these schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the form of educational services that have been implemented by the Head of the State Madrasah Tsanawiyah in the Riau Islands, and the commitment of the Head of the Madrasah in improving the educational services of the State Madrasah Tsanawiyah in the Riau Islands. This research is a type of field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject of this research covers aspects related to the commitment of madrasa heads in organizing the cultural governance of educational services at the State Tsanawiyah Madrasah in the Riau Islands, which consists of the leadership of the MTsN Riau Islands, as well as teachers and other educational staff. The data collection techniques are through documentation, behavioral observation, or interviews with participants. The data was then analyzed through three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that madrasa heads must be committed to taking real action to improve the quality of education at State MTs in the Riau Islands. Concrete steps that can be taken are to initiate teacher training programs, update the curriculum to reflect the latest developments, and strive for (tangible) facilities that are comfortable and conducive to learning. Madrasah heads must also try to always be open to input from all parties involved in the educational process.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas dan menganalisis Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Inquiry Pada Mata Pelajaran Fiqih dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 7 Kecamatan Tanah Tumbuh Kabupaten Bungo, Sebagai tambahan wawasan bagi guru dan calon guru agar dapat memahami hal-hal yang mempengaruhi dalam hal meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa di Sekolah. Metode penulisan artikel Kajian Pustaka ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan yang bersumber dari media online seperti Google Scholar, Mendeley dan/atau media online akademik lainnya. Hasil dari artikel ini adalah: 1) Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Inquiry Pada Mata Pelajaran Fiqih siswa kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 7 Kecamatan Tanah Tumbuh Kabupaten Bungo; 2) Motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 7 Kecamatan Tanah Tumbuh Kabupaten Bungo; dan 3) faktor penghambat dan solusi dalam penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri siswa kelas VIII di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 7 Kecamatan Tanah Tumbuh Kabupaten Bungo. Dari 2 tema tersebut akan melihat secara mendalam mengenai temuan umum dan khusus dalam implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri ini terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of madrasah principals in developing human resources in Madrasah Aliyah in Jambi Province. Effective human resource development is very important to improve the quality of education and madrasah operations. This study uses a qualitative approach with field research methods, through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of several madrasah principals in various Madrasah Aliyah in Jambi Province. The results of the study indicate that the strategies implemented by madrasah principals include teacher professional development through ongoing training, regular performance assessments, and the creation of a collaborative and innovative work environment. Madrasah principals also pay attention to the welfare of teachers and staff by providing adequate support, both financially and non-financially. Challenges faced include budget constraints and lack of access to external professional training. In conclusion, good madrasah principal management plays an important role in developing quality HR, which has a direct impact on improving the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah in Jambi.

Abstract

Islamic education management as a discipline has complex and profound dimensions, one of which is in the study of ontology which discusses the nature of reality and existence in the context of Islamic education. This article aims to analyze the theory of Islamic education management science through an ontological perspective by referring to the thoughts of a number of Muslim experts, such as Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and Imam al-Ghazali. This ontological approach focuses on the nature of humans, the purpose of education, and how Islamic education management is structured in accordance with Islamic values. Using the literature review method, this article presents basic concepts in Islamic education and their relevance to education management. The results of the study show that ontology in Islamic education emphasizes the balance between spiritual and material dimensions, as well as the importance of integrating knowledge and morals in every aspect of education. This article is expected to provide new insights into the management of Islamic education that is more comprehensive and based on solid Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dinamika interaksi antara tafsir individu dan tafsir institusional. Fokus studi tidak hanya pada adanya kontradiksi yang nyata, melainkan pada kecenderungan pemikiran serta minimnya respons saling melengkapi dalam ruang tafsir kontemporer. Dalam konteks tersebut, keterlibatan Quraish Shihab lebih dominan sebagai penasihat melalui kolaborasi dengan lembaga yang beliau dirikan, yaitu Lembaga Pengembangan dan Monitoring Al-Qur’an (LPMQ) dan Pusat Studi Quraish Shihab (PSQ). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa tafsir institusional tetap memegang posisi sentral dan lebih dominan dalam pembentukan wacana keagamaan dibandingkan tafsir individual maupun kritik akademik. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya memahami peran lembaga tafsir resmi sebagai aktor utama dalam pengelolaan interpretasi keagamaan di Indonesia masa kini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Quraish Shihab lebih menitikberatkan pada substansi kepemimpinan daripada jenis kelamin, dengan merujuk pada prinsip-prinsip keadilan dan maslahat dalam Islam.
