Abstract

In achieving good education knowledge is strongly influenced by the performance of teachers in carrying out their duties so that teacher performance becomes an important demand to achieve the success of educators. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts in improving the teaching performance of teachers at SMAN 4 Medan. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with literature study research method. The results of this study explain that the factors that support the performance of teachers of SMAN 4 Medan such as, the effectiveness and efficiency of the performance of teachers of SMAN 4 Medan is less supportive of the learning system applied, Orientation and Responsibility of teachers of SMAN 4 Medan giving assignments/activities to their students is considered less on target, discipline in punctuality and work discipline, the initiative of teachers of SMAN 4 Medan in carrying out their duties is considered less good enough but teachers as much as possible carry out their goals as a teacher by always thinking positively and trying to attract students' interest in learning. Efforts to improve teacher performance can be done by coaching, supervising teacher work, providing motivation, and evaluating teacher performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi finansial (fintech) melalui peluncuran super-apps BYOND oleh Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) menawarkan integrasi layanan finansial, sosial, dan investasi syariah dalam satu platform. Namun, pemanfaatan fitur investasi digital pada aplikasi ini belum optimal di kalangan nasabah BSI Cabang Medan akibat adanya kesenjangan informasi (information asymmetry) dan rendahnya literasi keuangan digital. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan digital serta menumbuhkan minat investasi syariah nasabah melalui sosialisasi dan pendampingan intensif penggunaan aplikasi BYOND. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang meliputi tiga tahapan utama: pra-pelaksanaan (survei dan koordinasi), pelaksanaan (workshop, edukasi manajemen portofolio syariah, dan live demo fitur investasi seperti cicil emas dan reksa dana), serta evaluasi melalui instrumen pre-test dan post-test. Sasaran strategis kegiatan ini adalah nasabah produktif dan pelaku UMKM BSI Cabang Medan. Luaran yang ditargetkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan indeks literasi keuangan digital peserta, penerbitan modul panduan praktis investasi digital, serta publikasi artikel ilmiah pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan hambatan psikologis (behavioral bias) nasabah terhadap investasi digital dapat dimitigasi, sehingga mampu mendorong inklusi keuangan syariah yang lebih inklusif di Kota Medan.

Abstract

Organizational culture rooted in the philosophical values of a university's founding charter serves as an important foundation shaping the work behavior of academic staff, yet such values are often not operationally internalized into a tested model of their influence on lecturers' attitudes and behavior. This study aims to formulate and test a model of organizational culture based on the Panca Budi Charter in building organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among lecturers. A quantitative explanatory survey approach was applied to permanent lecturers, with data analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results show that charter-based organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on OCB, and organizational culture significantly affects OCB both directly and indirectly through organizational commitment as a partial mediating variable. These findings confirm that internalizing founding-charter values and strengthening organizational commitment must be pursued simultaneously to optimize lecturers' organizational citizenship behavior. This study contributes theoretically by proposing a charter-based organizational culture model and offers practical implications for human resource management in higher education institutions
