Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran yang berakibat pada hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media mind map digital terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SMPN 13 Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen menggunakan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 270 siswa, dengan sampel kelas VII H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII G sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji Independent sample t Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (0,000 < 0,05), artinya terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media mind map digital terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu, penin gkatan hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori tinggi (rata-rata N-gain 0,77), sedangkan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori sedang (rata-rata N-gain 0,65). Model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media mind maping digital efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMPN 13 Samarinda.

Abstract

The inefficient implementation of learning approach and method can make student participant less active and leads to lack of critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the deep learning approach using mnemonics on the critical thinking skills of seventh-grade students regarding the classification of living organisms at SMP Negeri 46 Samarinda. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling, with a sample size of 25 students each for the experimental and control classes. The data analysis techniques used are N-Gain test and the Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the data analysis showed that the N-Gain score for critical thinking skills in the experimental class, with an average of 0.74, fell into the high category, while that of the control class, at 0.60, fell into the moderate category. The hypothesis results showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 for critical thinking skills, where this significance value (2-tailed) was < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the deep learning approach using mnemonics on the critical thinking skills of seventh-grade students regarding the classification of living organisms at SMP Negeri 46 Samarinda.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to assess the impact of the STEAM-based PjBL model on the creativity of class X pupils at SMA Budi Luhur Samarinda in relation to ecology topics through outdoor activities. The methodology of this investigation was quasi-experimental and used a posttest-only control group approach. The study sample included 50 pupils, specifically class X-2, which used the STEAM-based PjBL approach through outdoor activities as the experimental class, and class X-1, which employed the PBL model as the control class. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling approach. A creativity observation rubric with markers for fluency, flexibility, originality elaboration, and individual contribution served as the research instrument. The SPSS version 25 was used to conduct data analysis, including hypothesis tests, normality tests, and homogeneity tests, utilizing independent sample t-tests. The study found that the average score for student creativity in the experimental group was 88.16, but the control group's score was 78.60. A hypothesis test yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of Ha. Therefore, it may be deduced that the STEAM-based PjBL model has a considerable impact on the creativity of class X students at SMA Budi Luhur Samarinda when it comes to ecosystem content through outdoor activities.

Abstract

The armyworm is a major pest that can reduce crop yields. Control using chemical pesticides carries the risk of causing health problems, environmental pollution, and pest resistance. Therefore, safer and more environmentally friendly alternatives in the form of botanical pesticides are needed. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.) and PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) from bamboo roots (Gigantochloa apus) on the mortality of armyworms (Spodoptera litura) on green mustard plants (Brassica juncea L). The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD), consisting of 8 treatments and 4 replicates, resulting in 32 experimental units. The results showed that soursop leaf extract and PGPR from bamboo apus roots, at an optimal concentration of 70%, significantly increased armyworm mortality to 85%.

Abstract

Soursop (Annona muricata L.) has great potential as a fruit plant and medicinal ingredient, but its germination process is relatively slow due to dormancy, thus requiring efforts to accelerate germination. This study aims to determine the effect of sanding position and vinegar soaking duration on the germination of soursop seeds (Annona muricata L.). A factorial randomized block design (RAKF) was used with two factors, namely the sanding position (control, tip, base, and middle of the seed) and the duration of vinegar soaking (0, 10, 20, and 30 minutes), resulting in 16 treatment combinations repeated three times with a total of 192 seeds. The parameters observed included germination percentage, mean germination time (MGT), and mean germination rate (MGR). The results showed that the sanding position and soaking duration had no significant effect on all germination parameters, although soaking in vinegar for 10 minutes resulted in a faster average germination time compared to other treatments, namely 23 days. This is thought to be due to other factors such as the influence of temperature and humidity in the research environment, as well as insufficient sanding thickness and soaking time in vinegar. Therefore, further research is needed to explore sanding thickness and soaking time in order to increase the germination rate of soursop seeds.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya penerapan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui kegiatan yang aktif, menyenangkan dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Joyful Learning terintegrasi Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) melalui model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda pada materi sistem pernapasan. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain Non-Equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner kreativitas dan tes hasil belajar. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji N-Gain, dan uji One Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan presentase masing-masing sebesar 82,78% dan 56,43%. Hasil uji One Way ANOVA menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Selain itu, rata-rata N-Gain hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,81 (kategori tinggi) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,65 (kategori sedang). Hasil uji One Way ANOVA pada hasil belajar juga menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Joyful learning terintegrasi SDGs melalui model PjBL berpengaruh terhadap kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda pada materi sistem pernapasan.

Abstract

Low student science learning outcomes are characterized by low learning engagement, poor problem-solving skills, some students not yet mastering basic material, and the failure to implement media-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning models. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model, assisted by gamification-based flashcards, on students' learning outcomes and problem-solving abilities in seventh-grade science. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with 50 students from grades VII-8 as the control class and VII-9 as the experimental class. Data analysis was performed using the N-Gain test and independent samples t-test. The results showed that the average N-Gain for the control and experimental classes were in the moderate category, at 0.58 and 0.63, respectively. The independent samples t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 for problem-solving ability and 0.032 < 0.05 for learning outcomes, thus rejecting H₀ and accepting Hₐ. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by gamified flashcard media has an impact on students' problem-solving abilities and learning outcomes in the science subject of ecology and biodiversity in seventh grade.
