The general objectives of this research are to investigate the influence of work-life harmony on productivity and to examine the influence of social support on such a relationship. A quantitative approach was followed; hence, the data collected from 150 respondents in Bali Province were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that work-life harmony significantly enhances productivity, thereby confirming the first hypothesis. Furthermore, social support from family, friends, and colleagues also positively moderates both work-life harmony and productivity, thus confirming the second hypothesis. These findings bring to the fore the necessity of recognizing that both work-life harmony and social support are interlinked issues within an organizational setup. Alive to policies that allow flexibility in working and social environments that are supportive, better well-being and performance of the employees in Generation Z can be enabled. This study, therefore, provides important lessons that will be useful for human resource strategies seeking to navigate effectively the dynamic work landscape today.

Abstract

The PKM activity was carried out in Dalung, Badung, Bali. It adopts the use of reclaimed wood in furniture production. The background of this activity is that UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) face an obstacle in their efforts to manage the cost of production and increase product quality. High dependence on new wood raises production costs, and as a result, it confines profitability. The program was designed to enhance the operational skills of UMKM operators to process reclaimed wood efficiently for lower cost production and high-quality final products.Participatory approaches were applied, followed by technical training sessions and direct production assistance. The beneficiary activities included identification of problems within a specific context, practical training in techniques for processing reclaimed wood, and managerial skills that aim to improve efficiency in resource use. The activities involved three main stages: socialization and problem identification, technical training, and tutoring during the course of production. The results were fairly impressive: the reduction of production costs by 25-30% due to the use of reclaimed wood, improvement of technical skills of participants, and enhanced product quality to meet local consumer standards. The program promoted active involvement in the community as well, because the participants expressed great interest in the application of the techniques learned. The overall outcomes of PKM helped not only to empower local UMKM but also to train people in sustainable practices within the production of furniture. Therefore, it placed an emphasis on the use of local resources and on continuous training as a stimulus for grass-roots economic growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of social media innovation on the business sustainability of MSMEs, taking digital literacy as a moderating variable. This research was conducted in Bali Province using a quantitative approach with data sources sampled from owners of MSMEs. A structured questionnaire was used. The data analysis used PLS-SEM, a technique of robust statistics that is appropriate for studying a complex relationship between variables. The research findings indicated that social media innovation significantly contributed to the sustainability of businesses within the MSME sector. It means that when MSMEs adopt and implement innovative social media strategies effectively, it leads to their overall sustainability and hence improves business outcomes. In fact, it was established in this study that the relationship can be moderated by digital literacy, meaning that MSMEs with higher levels of digital literacy are better positioned to leverage social media innovation for increased business sustainability. The results raise the need to incorporate social media innovation with digital literacy to promote sustainable practices among MSMEs. In doing this, businesses can keep up with the rapidly changing landscape of new technologies in ways that improve their competitive advantage. The paper, therefore, concludes with managerial implications: Owners of MSMEs need targeted training and resources to improve their digital literacy level so as to fully tap into the potential of social media innovations toward long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the key drivers of innovation and sustainability in digital businesses. This study explores the impact of AI adoption on innovation and digital business sustainability in Indonesia, along with the moderating role of financial management in this relationship. The research uses Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a purposive sample of owners and managers of digital businesses in Denpasar, Bali. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, then analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicated that AI adoption significantly enhanced innovation and digital business sustainability. Furthermore, financial management had a positive but relatively small moderating effect in enhancing the influence of AI on digital business sustainability. These results also signal that an appropriate AI investment strategy should be supported with relevant financial management in order to maximize all the benefits of AI. This study will be expected to provide a reference for digital business stakeholders, such as SMEs and startups, in the design of sustainable AI adoption strategies.

Abstract

Agriculture plays a very vital role in the development of the rural economy; nevertheless, a large number of farmers are found to be confronted with financial crises due to changes in market prices, inefficient practice, or a very poor awareness of modern technologies. Equipping farmers with up-to-date digital innovations along the value chain focuses on sustainable farming practices, financial literacy, and digital marketing strategies to maximize income. The general vision is to increase farmers’ productivity, profitability, and resilience by equipping them with knowledge that will enable to adapt to changing markets. Participatory approaches involve farmers in workshops and field demonstrations of sustainable agriculture, digital marketing, and financial management. Farmers learn how to manage their farms more effectively by developing their e-commerce platformto market their products, using social media to access broader markets, and applying precision farming techniques. The program participants witnessed improved incomes for the farmers, enhanced access to markets, enhanced financial management, and an improvement in agricultural productivity. Application of the digital tool supported the introduction of sustainable farming practices, therefore, contributing to economic resilience in the long term, as well as environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Community empowerment through micro-enterprise development can be an effective instrument in poverty alleviation. This study will review sustainable farming practice implementation and improved market access with regard to cattle farmers in Klungkung District, Bali, where there exists strong cultural affinity towards natural conservation. This research, using the theory of sustainable development, which links economic, social, and environmental variables, identifies those interventions that would enhance farmers' management capacity and improve market access. The approach adopted in the study is a qualitative one with a descriptive-analytical design, in which purposive sampling is done from 15 cattle farmers and 5 stakeholders who are involved in livestock management. The results showed marked improvements in health management of the livestock, business planning, and marketing strategies after the intervention. Besides, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, such as the use of organic waste as fertilizer, are also adopted. Marketing groups were formed where farmers could sell directly, thus minimizing dependence on intermediaries, enhancing bargaining power, and improving profit margins. The study has pointed out that the active participation of farmers and stakeholders is very crucial for the success of this empowerment program. Longitudinal studies should be conducted to further monitor the sustainability of the program regarding its long-term impact.
