Abstract

The role and responsibilities of the school principal are very crucial in achieving learning goals. This study aims to improve understanding of the functions and leadership of school principals in achieving educational goals. In addition, this study also attempts to examine the influence of principal leadership on achieving educational goals. No field survey was conducted in this study. Instead, researchers collected data from books, magazines, articles, and other sources relevant to the principal's duties in achieving goals in elementary schools. They also reviewed previous research. The results of the study revealed that (1) the principal formulates school policy strategies and methods to achieve educational goals, and (2) the role of the principal has great significance for school success. This program was initiated by Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

Abstract

Education in the digital era requires school principals to play an encouraging and strategic role in utilizing technology to enhance the quality of learning. The purpose of this community service program is to empower school principals in optimizing their role in integrating educational technology. This program employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature studies, including exploring journals, books, and other relevant information. The results of the service indicate that school principals play a crucial role in improving the quality of education in the digital era. The role of school principals includes the ability to lead and manage the school effectively to utilize digital technology, serve as educators for teachers and staff in developing their technological competencies, and manage school resources, including digital technology, efficiently. Despite facing challenges such as a lack of trained human resources and technological infrastructure constraints, certain strategies can help overcome these obstacles. Training and professional development of teachers are essential steps in enhancing their technology usage skills. Additionally, improving technological infrastructure, such as adequate internet access and sufficient hardware, is necessary to support optimal technology integration.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of character education in a digital context at the Islamic Center Elementary School Samarinda. The main focus is to understand the interaction between school leadership and teachers, student moral development, technology literacy, and technology use policies in the school environment. The research method uses a qualitative approach with case studies in the school. Data was collected through literature studies using digital sources such as Google Scholar and through in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and data triangulation approaches to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study show that effective collaboration between school leadership and teachers is very important in shaping a moral school culture. Digital literacy serves as a tool to strengthen the formation of students' character, by integrating values such as integrity, responsibility, and critical thinking skills in the use of technology. In conclusion, the implementation of character education in the digital era requires close cooperation between school leadership and teachers as well as digital literacy that supports the formation of students' character in facing challenges and opportunities in the digital era. Abstract

The principal must have good management skills in improving teacher performance. This study aims to describe the planning, organizing, implementing and supervising carried out by the principal to improve teacher performance at the Islamic Center Elementary School in Samarinda. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validity tested through triangulation of sources and methods. The research findings reveal that 1) Principal  planning through comprehensive identification of teacher professional development needs, designing relevant ongoing training programs, providing resources and infrastructure that support learning innovation, and formulating measurable performance targets and transparent evaluation systems 2) Organizing principal  must be reflected through the application of collaborative management principles, including clear and accountable division of tasks, the formation of competent supervisory and mentor teams, and facilitating effective communication and synergistic collaboration between teachers, 3) The implementation of principal  is implemented through the provision of training, application workshops, and the adoption of innovative technology-based learning models to spur teacher creativity and mastery of technology, 4) Supervision of principal  is carried out through clinical supervision that focuses on development, formative evaluation of teacher performance, constructive follow-up of evaluation results, and ongoing individual coaching programs. Comprehensively, principal leadership management to improve teacher performance through training has been implemented effectively and consistently with the principles of modern education management. This study provides practical implications for the development of an effective principal leadership model in improving the quality of education at the elementary school level.
