Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mixing citronella oil additives as a mixture of fuel oil on motorcycle engine performance. This study uses an experimental method conducted at Teqleck Speedshop Padang using a Honda Beat Street motorcycle. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the composition of the mixture of citronella oil additives by 2% in 1 liter of Pertalite fuel oil as an ideal mixture can improve engine performance optimally with the power generated by 5.72 kW, the torque generated by 8.92 Nm, the resulting top speed is 9.1 m/s. The acceleration is 5.86 m/s2 to reach maximum speed in a short time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pencampuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi sebagai campuran bahan bakar minyak terhadap performa mesin sepeda motor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimen yang dilakukan di Teqleck Speedshop Padang dengan menggunakan sepeda motor Honda Beat Street. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa dengan komposisi campuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi sebesar 2% dalam 1 liter bahan bakar minyak perlalite sebagai campuran idealnya dapat meningkatkan performa mesin secara optimal dengan daya yang dihasilkan sebesar 5,72 kW, torsi yang dihasilkan sebesar 8,92 Nm, top speed yang dihasilkan 9,1 m/s, dan akslerasi nya 5,86 m/s2 untuk mencapai kecepatan maksimum dalam waktu yang singkat.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan bodi kendaraan Prototype Arrow Concept sebagai media dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Konstruksi Badan Kendaraan. Jenis penelitian adalah research and development (RD) dengan model planning production and evaluation (PPE). Perancangan dan simulasi dilakukan dengan bantuan software Solidworks. Simulasi dalam penelitian menggunakan material fiber karbon atau carbon fiber. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan pengujian simulasi menggunakan software Solidworks. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh velocity yang baik dalam mengatur kecepatan udara, dapat menerima pressure dengan baik, dan mendapatkan nilai coefficient drag (Cd) atau gaya hambat yang rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa nilai yang diperoleh dari pengembangan bodi kendaraan hemat energi Prototype Arrow Concept sudah memenuhi standar dan layak diproduksi sebagai media dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Konstruksi Badan Kendaraan. AbstractThe research aimed to develop an energy efficient vehicle body Prototype Arrow Concept in learning Vehicle Body Construction. This type of research was research and development (RD) with a planning production and evaluation (PPE) model. Design and simulation were done with the help of Solidworks software. Simulations in research used carbon fiber materials. Data collection techniques used observation and simulation testing used Solidworks software. Data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, good velocity was obtained in adjusting airspeed, can receive pressure well, and gets a drag coefficient (Cd) or low drag. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that the value obtained from the development of the energy-efficient vehicle body of Prototype Arrow Concept met the standards and was feasible to be produced as an instructional media of Vehicle Body Construction courses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pencampuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi sebagai campuran bahan bakar minyak. Cukup banyak pengguna kendaraan bermotor khususnya sepeda motor tidak mengetahui bahan bakar apa yang dipakai seperti pada sepeda motor Honda Beat Street dengan rasio kompresi mesin 10 : 1 yang sebaiknya memakai bahan bakar jenis pertamax dengan angka oktan 92 namun lebih banyak memilih untuk memakai bahan bakar jenis pertalite dengan angka oktan 90 dengan alasan lebih ekonomis padahal dampaknya sangat sensitif terhadap pengotoran ruang bakar dan bisa mengakibatkan kandungan emisi gas buang dari gas sisa pembakaran menjadi tinggi. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada sepeda motor Honda Beat Street didapatkan bahwa dengan pencampuran zat aditif minyak serai wangi dapat mengurangi tingkat emisi gas buang dan bisa menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar. This study discusses the mixing of citronella oil additives as a mixture of fuel oil. Quite a lot of motorized vehicle users, especially motorcycle do not know what fuel to use, such as the Honda Beat Street motorcycle with an engine compression ratio of 10 : 1 which should use pertamax type fuel with an octane number of 92  prefer to use gasoline pertalite type fuel with an octane number of 90 for reasons of more economical, even though the impact is very sensitive to combustion chamber contamination and can result in a high contents of exhaust emissions from the remaining combustipn chamber. From the results of research conducted on Honda Beat Street motorcycle, it wa found that by mixing citronella oil additivies it can reduce exhaust emission levels and save fuel consumption.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan shim pegas kopling terhadap akselerasi dan top speed pada sepeda motor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan objek penelitiannya adalah sepeda motor Yamaha V-Ixion. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data secara langsung pada sepeda motor Yamaha V-Ixion. Hasilnya dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif persentase, membandingkan nilai akselerasi dan top speed saat dilakukan penambahan shim pegas kopling dan sebelum penambahan shim pegas kopling (kondisi standar). Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan shim pegas kopling 4 mm merupakan penambahan shim yang paling ideal karena dapat meningkatkan akselerasi dan top speed dengan peningkatkan top speed 70,276 akselerasi 3,28 dengan penambahan shim jika dibandingkan dengan kondisi standar top speed 68,9, dan standar akselerasi 3,17.    This research aims to analyze the impact of adding clutch spring shims on the acceleration and top speed of a motorcycle. The research employs an experimental method with the research object being the Yamaha V-Ixion motorcycle. Data collection in this study is carried out by collecting data directly from the Yamaha V-Ixion motorcycle. The results are analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis techniques, comparing the acceleration and top speed values before and after adding clutch spring shims (standard condition). Based on the research, it can be concluded that the addition of a 4 mm clutch spring shim is the most ideal as it can enhance both acceleration and top speed, with a top speed increase of 70.276 and an acceleration increase of 3.28 compared to the standard condition, where the top speed is 68.9, and the standard acceleration is 3.17.

Abstract

Penggunaan kendaraan bermotor yang tinggi merupakan salah satu penyebab polusi udara yang merupakan akibat dari emisi gas buang pada kendaraan bermotor. Emisi gas buang terdiri atas Karbon Monoksida (CO), Sulfur (Sox), Nitrogen Oksida (Nox), Hidrokarbon (HC), air (H2O) dan juga Timbal. Beberapa zat tersebut merupakan zat yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia dikarenakan pembakaran dari campuran bahan bakar dan udara di ruang bakar tidak terbakar secara sempurna. Oleh karena itu diperlukan solusi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini. Salah satu solusinya yaitu dengan memilih komponen busi yang paling baik pada sistem pengapian. Penelitian ini membandingkan penggunaan busi ber-ground elektroda dengan busi standar. Terbukti dari hasil penelitian, bahwa penggunaan busi multi ground elektroda dapat menurunkan kadar karbon monoksida dan hidrokarbon, sementara kadar karbon dioksida mengalami peningkatan. High motor vehicle usage is one of the causes of air pollution, which results from exhaust emissions from motor vehicles. Exhaust emissions consist of Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur (SOx), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Hydrocarbons (HC), water (H2O), and also Lead (Pb). Some of these substances are harmful to human health because the combustion of the fuel and air mixture in the combustion chamber is not complete. Therefore, a solution is needed to address this issue. One of the solutions is to select the best spark plug component in the ignition system. This research compares the use of spark plugs with a multi-ground electrode with standard spark plugs. The research results show that the use of multi-ground electrode spark plugs can reduce the levels of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons, while carbon dioxide levels increase.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi bagi guru dalam meningkatkan proses pembelajaran bagi siswa tentang sistem injeksi bahan bakar diesel common rail sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai teknologi mesin diesel dengan sistem common rail karena kendaraan terbaru yang menggunakan mesin diesel sudah menerapkan sistem injeksi bahan bakar common rail. Pelaksanaan PKM dilakukan dengan metode yaitu: 1) ceramah dan tanya-jawab, 2) diskusi, 3) demonstrasi, 4) praktik, 5) bimbingan dan evaluasi. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 orang dan jumlah pengabdi sebanyak 10 orang dari Departemen Teknik Otomotif Universitas Negeri Padang. Berdasarkan analisis data, dijelaskan bahwa keterampilan guru dan siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan mengenai sistem bahan bakar common rail dan penggunaan alat kalibrasi injektor test bench common rail meningkat secara signifikan, dibuktikan dengan nilai ketuntasan seluruh peserta pengabdian mencapai 100%. Disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM pelatihan keterampilan penggunaan test bench common rail berhasil.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi fuel filter yang dapat berfungsi dengan baik setelah dimodifikasi pada mobil Chevrolet Captiva. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen dan dalam penelitian ini data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen data pengujian dalam tabel yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter tekanan bahan bakar di fuel rail pressure pada jarak tempuh 3000 km sebesar 97.946 Kpa. Saat dilakukan akselerasi lampu check engine menyala, sedangkan setelah dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter didapatkan bahwa tekanan bahan bakar di fuel rail pressure pada jarak tempuh 3000 km sebesar 149.296 Kpa dan saat dilakukan akselerasi lampu check engine tidak menyala. Dapat disimpulkan setelah dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter pada mobil Chevrolet Captiva kondisi fuel filter mampu berfungsi dengan baik sebagaimana mestinya.   The purpose of the research is to determine the condition of the fuel filter which can function properly after being modified on the Chevrolet Captiva car. This research was conducted using an experimental method and in this research data was collected through test data instruments in tables which were then analyzed using average descriptive techniques. The results of the research show that before the modification of the installation of the fuel filter, the fuel pressure in the fuel rail pressure at a distance of 3000 km was 97,946 Kpa. When accelerating, the check engine light comes on, whereas after modifying the installation of the fuel filter, it is found that the fuel pressure in the fuel rail pressure at a distance of 3000 km is 149,296 Kpa and when accelerating, the check engine light does not come on. It can be concluded that after modifying the installation of the fuel filter on the Chevrolet Captiva the condition of the fuel filter is able to function properly as it should.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan tiga merek oli mesin (AHM MPX2, Motul Scooter LE 4T, dan Enduro Matic) terhadap top speed sepeda motor Honda Beat eSP. Meskipun ketiga oli memiliki nilai viskositas yang sama (SAE 10W-30), harga dan standar klasifikasi API/JASO berbeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif rata-rata dan perbandingan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada putaran mesin rendah hingga menengah, ketiga merek oli memberikan performa top speed yang relatif serupa. Namun, pada putaran mesin tinggi (7.000 rpm), oli Motul Scooter LE 4T menunjukkan keunggulan dalam mencapai top speed yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan AHM MPX2 dan Enduro Matic. Secara keseluruhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan beberapa merek oli memiliki pengaruh terhadap top speed sepeda motor Honda Beat eSP, dimana oli Motul Scooter LE 4T memberikan performa top speed terbaik pada putaran mesin tinggi. This study aims to analyze the effect of using three engine oil brands (AHM MPX2, Motul Scooter LE 4T, and Enduro Matic) on the top speed of a Honda Beat eSP motorcycle. Although the three oils have the same viscosity value (SAE 10W-30), their prices and API/JASO classification standards differ. The research method used is an experiment with descriptive average data analysis techniques and percentage comparisons. The results show that at low to medium engine speeds, the three oil brands provide relatively similar top speed performance. However, at high engine speeds (7,000 rpm), Motul Scooter LE 4T oil demonstrates superiority in achieving higher top speeds compared to AHM MPX2 and Enduro Matic. Overall, it can be concluded that the use of different oil brands influences the top speed of the Honda Beat eSP motorcycle, with Motul Scooter LE 4T oil providing the best top speed performance at high engine speeds.

Abstract

Philosophy is a comprehensive truth that is often contested with the truth of science which is relative in nature. This article discusses the influence of the philosophy of education on learning strategies on the Education Technology of Teaching. (PTK). The philosophy of education is the one used in the study of educational problems. Philosophy will determine where our students want to be carried. The philosophy is a tool of values that leads and guides towards the achievement of educational goals. Therefore, the philosophy followed by a particular nation or group of people or by individuals (in this case Teachers) will greatly influence the educational objectives to be achieved. The application of educational philosophy in PTK not only enhances the technical aspects but also builds individuals who have ethical integrity, interpersonal skills and readiness to face the dynamics of global industry. Abstract

This study aims to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics by using experimental methods. The subjects in this study were students of the Automotive Electronics Electricity course with a sample size of 30 students consisting of control class (class A) and experimental class (class B) as primary data. The data analysis technique is the analysis requirement test, namely the normality test using the SPSS program with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the homogeneity test, then the Independent T-Test is then carried out to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics. Based on the data that has been obtained, the evaluation of student learning outcomes with the UNP e-learning-based blended learning approach is able to measure the extent of the success rate and mastery of students of competencies in learning Automotive Electronics so that it can provide an overview for lecturers to plan learning strategies in other lessons
