Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis hubungan kompetensi dosen dalam mengajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Responden penelitian sebanyak 38 orang. Penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket yang disebar kepada mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah Listrik dan Elektronika Otomotif. Alat pengumpul data adalah Google document. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi dosen dalam mengajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. AbstractThe purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between lecturers' competences in teaching and student learning outcomes. The method used a quantitative with the type of ex post facto research. Research respondents were 38 people. The study used a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire distributed to students who took the Electrical and Automotive Electronics course. Data collection tool was Google document. Data analysis techniques used multiple correlation. The results showed that there was a relationship between lecturers? competences in teaching and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar biaya operasional kendaraan yang di keluarkan oleh armada Grand New Avanza Tipe G 1,5 tahun 2016 sebelum kenaikan bahan bakar minyak dan sesudah kenaikan bahan bakar minyak. Dengan di dapatkanya Biaya Operasional Kendaraan (BOK) maka dapat menetukan harga tarif tiket yang lebih efisien dan layak untuk para masyarakat yang membutuhkan jas transportasi travel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapatkan, disimpulkan bahwa setelah terjadi kenaikkan harga BBM maka Hasil BOK armada Grand New Avanza Tipe G 1,5 tahun 2016, naik sebesar Rp. 2.032/Km dengan keuntungan yang ingin di dapatkan 30 % dalam trip, maka harga tarif tiket nya sebesar Rp. 205.000/orang dan biaya akan dapat bertambah apabila tujuan konsumen melebihi batas maksimal Km atau di luar kota padang.    This study aims to determine how much vehicle operating costs incurred by the Grand New Avanza Type G 1.5 fleet in 2016 before the increase in fuel, oil and after the increase in fuel oil. by obtaining Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC), it can determine the price of ticket rates that are more efficient and feasible for people who need shuttle transportation services. This research uses descriptive methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Based on the results of the research obtained, it is concluded that after the increase in fuel prices, the BOK results of the Grand New Avanza Type G 1.5 fleet in 2016, increased by Rp. 2,032/Km with a profit that wants to get 30% in a trip, then the ticket tariff price is Rp. 205,000/person and costs will increase if the consumer's destination exceeds the maximum Km limit or outside the city of Padang.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi fuel filter yang dapat berfungsi dengan baik setelah dimodifikasi pada mobil Chevrolet Captiva. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen dan dalam penelitian ini data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen data pengujian dalam tabel yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter tekanan bahan bakar di fuel rail pressure pada jarak tempuh 3000 km sebesar 97.946 Kpa. Saat dilakukan akselerasi lampu check engine menyala, sedangkan setelah dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter didapatkan bahwa tekanan bahan bakar di fuel rail pressure pada jarak tempuh 3000 km sebesar 149.296 Kpa dan saat dilakukan akselerasi lampu check engine tidak menyala. Dapat disimpulkan setelah dilakukan modifikasi pemasangan fuel filter pada mobil Chevrolet Captiva kondisi fuel filter mampu berfungsi dengan baik sebagaimana mestinya.   The purpose of the research is to determine the condition of the fuel filter which can function properly after being modified on the Chevrolet Captiva car. This research was conducted using an experimental method and in this research data was collected through test data instruments in tables which were then analyzed using average descriptive techniques. The results of the research show that before the modification of the installation of the fuel filter, the fuel pressure in the fuel rail pressure at a distance of 3000 km was 97,946 Kpa. When accelerating, the check engine light comes on, whereas after modifying the installation of the fuel filter, it is found that the fuel pressure in the fuel rail pressure at a distance of 3000 km is 149,296 Kpa and when accelerating, the check engine light does not come on. It can be concluded that after modifying the installation of the fuel filter on the Chevrolet Captiva the condition of the fuel filter is able to function properly as it should.

Abstract

Temuan rendahnya prestasi belajar di SMK Negeri 1 Padang Gelugur, menjadi salah satu faktornya adalah kurangnya kedisiplinan dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara tingkat kedisiplinan belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Dari 73 orang siswa kelas XI TSM di SMK N 1 Padang Gelugur, dengan menggunakan Teknik simple random sampling diambil sampel sebanyak 42 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tentang disiplin belajar siswa dan dokumentasi nilai ujian. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kedisiplinan belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa sebesar 0,670 dengan kekuatan korelasi kuat. Implikasi temuan ini adalah pentingnya meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar mereka. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor lain yang mungkin memengaruhi hubungan antara kedisiplinan belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa.  One of the reasons for the low learning achievement at SMK Negeri 1 Padang Gelugur is a lack of discipline in learning. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the level of learning discipline and student achievement. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational research design. From 73 class XI TSM students at SMK N 1 Padang Gelugur, using a simple random sampling technique, 42 people were sampled. Data was collected through questionnaires on student learning discipline and documentation of test scores. The results of the data analysis showed a significant relationship between learning discipline and student achievement of 0.670 with a strong correlation. The implication of these findings is the importance of improving student learning discipline to improve their learning achievement. Suggestions for future research are to explore other factors that might influence the relationship between learning discipline and student achievement.

Abstract

Kebiasaan belajar adalah salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa dalam proses belajar untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kebiasaan Belajar dalam mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin sepeda motor terhadap Prestasi Belajar Kelas XII TBSM SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 28 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan metode dokumentasi. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif, yaitu regresi linier dengan Correlation Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig.) yang sebesar 0.000, lebih kecil dari tingkat signifikansi (α) 0.05. Koefisien korelasi pearson sebesar 0.642 menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan berada pada taraf korelasi yang kuat. Serta, kebiasaan belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 41% terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang menghadapi variasi tingkat pemahaman dan kecepatan belajar siswa. Sebagian menyelesaikan pembelajaran lebih cepat sementara yang lain memerlukan waktu lebih lama. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah variasi tingkat pemahaman dan kecepatan belajar siswa di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang, memerlukan metode pembelajaran yang responsif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa. Hal ini mendorong penelitian efektivitas metode pembelajaran diferensiasi pada Pemeliharaan Mesin Kendaraan Ringan. Dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas selama dua siklus di mana subjek penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa dari Siklus I posttest rata-rata 75,0 ke Siklus II posttest rata-rata 78,6, bersamaan dengan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dari 77% menjadi 88%. Pembelajaran diferensiasi terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa di lingkungan SMK. Saran penelitian selanjutnya mencakup pemahaman lebih dalam faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi metode tersebut dan pengembangan perencanaan pembelajaran yang terstruktur, untuk mendukung adaptasi kurikulum secara menyeluruh. SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang faces variations in students' level of understanding and learning speed. Some complete learning faster while others take longer. The problem that arises is the variation in the level of understanding and learning speed of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang, requiring responsive learning methods to improve learning outcomes and student engagement. This encourages research into the effectiveness of differentiation learning methods in Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance. With a classroom action research approach for two cycles where the subjects of this study are 22 students of class XI Light Vehicle Engineering. Results showed a significant improvement in student understanding from Cycle I posttest average 75.0 to Cycle II posttest average 78.6, along with increased student engagement from 77% to 88%. Differentiation learning is proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes and student involvement in the vocational environment. Further research suggestions include a deeper understanding of the factors influencing the method and the development of structured lesson planning, to support overall curriculum adaptation.

Abstract

The problem of this research was the limitation of learning media for speed sensors in the Ototronics laboratory, which has an impact on three critical aspects in the teaching and learning process: (1) limited students gain practical experience, (2) decreased student motivation and participation, and (3) the difficulty of lecturers demonstrating material comprehensively in the Sensors and Transducers course. This research aimed to design a mini trainer speed sensor as an innovative learning media to overcome the limitations of practicum media in the Ototronics laboratory, impacting the student learning experience. The research used a quantitative-descriptive and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) validation involving 7 learning media experts. The results showed highly significant design validity. The didactic aspect proved to give the most superior contribution to improving the effectiveness of learning media. This research successfully addressed three main problems: student’s limited practical experience, decreased participation motivation, and lecturers’ difficulty demonstrating the material. The results confirm that this particular learning media effectively addresses three critical impacts in the teaching and learning process: student’s limited practical experience, decreased participation motivation, and lecturers’ difficulty demonstrating the material, thus opening up opportunities for developing transformative interactive learning media in technical vocational education.

Abstract

Replacement analysis is used to evaluate whether the currently used asset needs to be replaced with a newer and more economically efficient one. This study aims to determine the feasibility of replacing the official service vehicles at Universitas Negeri Padang from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles based on an economic analysis. Data on official service vehicles were collected from the facilities and infrastructure division of Universitas Negeri Padang, while data on electric vehicles were obtained through a literature review. Data processing was conducted using the Equivalent Uniform Annual Cost (EUAC) method. The results indicate that replacing the official service vehicles at Universitas Negeri Padang from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles is not yet feasible.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of simulator trainer media on the learning outcomes of the motorcycle starter system compared to conventional lecture methods. Using a quantitative experiment method with a one group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 25 students in class XI TSM in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year at SMKN 1 Bonjol. Data were collected through validated multiple-choice objective tests: 20 items for the pretest and 30 items for the posttest. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase from the average pretest of 68.8 to 83.28 in the posttest after the implementation of the simulator media trainer. The statistical test obtained a t-count of 9,438 > t-table of 2,064 with an influence rate of 21%, showing a significant difference in α = 0.05. It was concluded that the simulator trainer media can improve student learning outcomes on motorcycle starter system materials, providing a more concrete and interactive learning experience than conventional lecture methods.Keywords:  trainer simulator, learning outcomes, starter system, motorcycle, technical education.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of Pertamax and methanol blends on fuel consumption and economic efficiency of a Honda Beat Street 110 cc motorcycle. The research employed a quantitative experimental method using the Taguchi approach, with four factors: fuel blend percentage (0%, 10%, 20%), engine speed (2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3000 rpm), vehicle speed (40 km/h, 60 km/h, 80 km/h), and engine temperature (70 °C, 90 °C, 110 °C). The results showed that the lowest fuel consumption was achieved with 0% methanol at 2500 rpm and 90 °C, recording 0.1378 ml/s, while the highest consumption occurred with 20% methanol at 2000 rpm and 90 °C, reaching 0.2500 ml/s. In terms of economic efficiency, the optimal condition was obtained with 10% methanol, 2500 rpm, 80 km/h, and 70 °C, resulting in the lowest operational cost of IDR 8,646/km. Thus, blending Pertamax and methanol at certain proportions can improve vehicle economic efficiency and serve as an alternative to reduce fuel expenses.Keywords: Pertamax, Methanol, Fuel Consumption, Economic Efficiency, Taguchi
