Abstract

This article aims to provide an insightful examination of strategies for addressing anxiety disorder based on interpretations of the Qur’an. In Indonesia, the prevalence of anxiety is alarmingly high, with 9,162,886 reported cases of depression in the past two years alone. Given the Qur’an’s revered status as a guidance book, exploring its teachings on anxiety is essential to address this pressing issue. Employing a qualitative research approach focused on a literature review, this study draws from various sources, including scholarly books and articles. The research outcomes highlight several theoretical frameworks derived from the Qur’an for tackling anxiety, such as (1) mindfulness—a meditative therapy aimed at clearing the mind of negative experiences and redirecting focus toward positivity; (2) cognitive therapy—recalibrating one’s mindset toward optimistic perspectives, and (3) fostering resilient attitudes by steadfastly confronting adversities.Keyword: Anxiety Disorder; al-Qur’an; Exegesis

Abstract

Research on the Qur'anic strategy in realizing couple harmony needs to be conducted to describe the understanding of the Qur'an in the early days of development with the facts that occur today. The purpose of this study is to present an understanding of the Qur'an that is in accordance with the current context. Knowing the tafsir method offered by Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi about the importance of caring for and maintaining couple relationships. The method used in this study is based on a literature method. This study found that harmony is the main goal of marriage. To realize harmony, several alternatives and solutions are needed for husband-and-wife couples. Surah al-Ahzab verse 28 tells about the challenge of the Prophet Muhammad in dealing with internal family problems. The success of Prophet Muhammad in solving these problems can be used as an alternative to solving the problems faced by every couple. Contribution: This study adapts Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi's interpretation to offer Qur’anic solutions for marital harmony.

Abstract

Research on the analysis of KH. Faqih Maskumambang's thoughts on the prohibition of using the Kentongan as a prayer time marker from the perspective of the prophet's hadith needs to be conducted. The aim is to describe the understanding of hadith in the classical and contemporary eras. Kentongan is a tool commonly used by some people as a sign of prayer. The use of this tool is a part of the characteristics of Islam in the archipelago. Along with the development of knowledge, traditions have drawn the attention of many circles. The main reason for criticism and refutation is because the use of these tools is considered an act of bid'ah and resembles non-Muslim worship. Even the founding figure of the NU and KH. Hasyim Asy'ari was among those who opposed traditions. In this study, the author used a descriptive-qualitative method with a contextual approach. The primary source used the book Sharh Hazzu al-Ru'us fi Radd al-Jasus 'an Tahrim al-Naqus by KH. Faqih Maskumambang. The result of this study is that, according to KH. Faqih Maskumambang, the hadith used as the basis for the prohibition of the use of the horn is not valid. In fact, another Hadith refutes Hadith, which is more valid. In explaining this, Kyai Faqih took explanations from the Qur'an and Hadith, which have similar topics of discussion. He also takes the opinions of scholars and the methods of fiqh and logic as reinforcements.

Abstract

The difference in mindset between individuals triggers conflict. The right attitude is the main factor causing conflict. Social media, as a means of communication and information, plays an essential role in presenting information. Criticism that results in criticizing the habaib is a new problem that needs attention. Research on the hadith regarding the prohibition of attacking habaib on social media needs to be studied to describe the meaning of the hadith conveyed. This study aims to provide readers with an understanding of the importance of understanding textual and contextual hadiths and the methods used by classical and contemporary scholars in practising the Prophet's traditions. The technique used in this study was library research. The primary sources in this study were the book Mirqat al-Mafatih by 'Ali al-Qari and Kitab al-Jami' al-Sahih by Imam al-Bukhari. The study's results stated that criticizing habaib on social media was an ethical violation. In addition, disgraceful acts also include prohibited actions in Islamic law. A history of hadith strengthens the position of habaib as part of ahl albayt. Habaib has the right to be respected and glorified like humans with a respected conscience.

Abstract

Abstract

The tradition of Quranic literacy is an important foundation in the formation of the religious and moral identity of Muslims. However, children of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia face challenges in accessing Quranic education due to limited administrative identity, economic pressures, and minimal parental guidance. The absence of clear legal identity not only restricts their access to formal education but also creates a sense of marginalization that influences their motivation to seek religious literacy as a source of belonging and self-worth. This study aims to describe the Quranic literacy skills of migrant workers' children and analyze the reception and internalization of the Quranic literacy tradition in daily life at the Pantai Dalam Guidance Center in Kuala Lumpur. The study used a qualitative approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and verification using the Miles and Huberman model, and validated through triangulation of sources, techniques, and theories. The results show that Quranic literacy practices at the studio not only improve reading, writing, and memorization skills but also create a fun, interactive, and participatory learning experience. Children interpret the Quran as a source of moral values, religious motivation, and future aspirations. Reception analysis based on Ahmad Rafiq's theory emphasizes two main forms of reception: aesthetic, namely the emotional and sensory experience through tadarus and tartil; and functional/performative, where the Qur'an is carried out as a daily life practice that shapes children's attitudes, behavior, and religious identity. These findings emphasize that community-based non-formal education plays a strategic role in internalizing Qur'anic values, strengthening moral character, and building a religious and integrated migrant community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of fatherlessness has emerged as a significant global social issue, influ-encing children's psychological well-being, identity formation, and moral development. While existing scholarship has largely examined fatherlessness through psychological and sociological frameworks, Qur'anic narratives on father-child relationships are often treated primarily within theological discourse. Consequently, there remains limited explo-ration of how classical Qur'anic exegesis can contribute to contemporary discussions on parenting and family crises. Addressing this gap, this study investigates the concept of paternal parenting in the stories of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ya'qub through the in-terpretive lens of Tafsir al-Kashshāf by al-Zamakhsharī and examines its relevance to the modern phenomenon of fatherlessness. This research employs a qualitative library-based approach combined with thematic Qur'anic interpretation (tafsīr mawḍū'ī). The analysis focuses on key Qur'anic passages related to father-son interactions, particularly Q.S. al-Ṣāffāt:102 and Q.S. Yūsuf:4-5, interpreted through the linguistic-rational framework characteristic of Tafsir al-Kashshāf. Data are analyzed descriptively and interpretatively to identify the parenting principles embedded within the exegetical discourse. The find-ings demonstrate that Tafsir al-Kashshāf articulates a prophetic model of paternal parent-ing grounded in three interrelated principles: democratic companionship, dialogical com-munication, and secure emotional attachment. Prophet Ibrahim's interaction with Ismail il-lustrates participatory decision-making and consultative dialogue, while Prophet Ya'qub's relationship with Yusuf reflects emotional attentiveness and psychological protection that foster a secure relational environment. This study contributes to Qur'anic studies by highlighting the contemporary relevance of classical exegesis in addressing modern social challenges. Furthermore, it offers a conceptual framework for integrating Qur'anic parent-ing values into contemporary family discourse, emphasizing the father's emotional pres-ence, communicative engagement, and moral leadership as essential elements in mitigating the fatherlessness crisis in modern societies.
