Abstract

Making eco-enzymes is a method of processing organic waste without residue or a zero waste approach. Currently, socialization or education regarding waste processing using the eco-enzyme method in schools, especially at the city/district level, is still very limited, as a result there is still minimal understanding of what organic waste processing can be done, and it is generally only known as making compost. This service involves university teams, school teachers and junior high school students. The aim of this service is to teach Stella Matutina Junior High School students in Salatiga City about how to convert organic waste into high-value eco-enzyme products. The choice of making liquid soap was because the materials used were environmentally friendly and the process tended to be easy, making it suitable for junior high school students. The method used is implementing experimental hybrid learning, starting from socialization, mentoring, to sustainability of this program. The result of this service is that students' knowledge of environmental programs increases and students are actively involved in achieving environmental KPI.

Abstract

Waste management, particularly organic waste, remains a significant environmental challenge in Indonesia, with household and school waste being major contributors. This community service initiative, conducted by the Dharma Sevavigyana Community of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang, aimed to enhance ecological awareness among high school students through the production of eco-enzyme liquid soap. The program, held at SMA Negeri 16 Semarang, combined conceptual education with practical training to teach students how to transform organic waste into eco-enzyme, a valuable and environmentally friendly product. The activities included presentations on waste management issues, hands- on soap-making workshops, and interactive evaluations using digital platforms like Kahoot. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding and enthusiasm for eco-enzyme applications, as well as improved teamwork and communication skills. The initiative successfully demonstrated the potential of experiential learning in fostering environmental stewardship among students, encouraging them to become active participants in sustainable waste management practices. This program highlights the importance of integrating environmental education into school curricula and serves as a model for similar initiatives across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of changes in Value Added Tax (VAT) rates, income level, and lifestyle on property purchase intention among Generation Z in Semarang City. The research applies a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 as the analytical tool. The population consists of 380 home buyers from Perumnas housing units in Semarang City, with a sample of 123 respondents selected through convenience sampling. The results indicate that: (1) changes in VAT rates have a positive and significant effect on property purchase intention; (2) income level has a positive and significant effect on property purchase intention; and (3) lifestyle also has a positive and significant effect on property purchase intention. The R-Square value of 0.640 shows that the three independent variables collectively explain 64% of the variance in property purchase intention, while the remaining 36% is influenced by other factors outside the research model.
