Abstract

Inadequate tire pressure is a significant factor that accelerates tire damage and increases the risk of traffic accidents. This often occurs because tire pressure checking is still done manually with simple tools, which is not only inefficient but also prone to measurement errors. Therefore, a system capable of monitoring vehicle tire pressure automatically and in real-time is needed. This research aims to design and implement an Android-based car tire pressure monitoring system. Research data was obtained through field research and literature review. At the same time, system requirements analysis was conducted using the PIECES method (Performance, Information/Data, Economic, Control/Security, Efficiency, and Service) to ensure the quality, effectiveness, and safety of the resulting system. The results show that the developed system is capable of detecting tire pressure with high accuracy and displaying this information directly through an Android application. This feature allows users to take preventative action more quickly when abnormal pressure is detected, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and tire damage. Furthermore, the implementation of this system has been proven to improve vehicle maintenance efficiency by eliminating the need for routine manual checks. This innovation offers significant benefits not only to middle-class vehicle users but also to the upper class, who require practical and modern solutions for maintaining safe driving. Therefore, this research has a tangible impact in supporting transportation safety, reducing maintenance costs, and contributing to the development of future Internet of Things (IoT)-based automotive technology.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) that can assist in selecting the best bus for tourism purposes in Toraja. The objective of this research is to facilitate the decision-making process for prospective tourists who want to use buses as their means of transportation during their visit to Toraja. The method employed in this research is the Weighted Product (WP) method. This method was chosen due to its ability to handle multiple criteria, enabling selection based on various relevant factors such as price, service quality, bus capacity, operational schedule, and level of comfort. Furthermore, the collected data will be input into the developed DSS using the WP method. The DSS will calculate relative scores for each bus based on the predetermined criteria weights. The results of this research are expected to provide objective and accurate recommendations for selecting the best bus. These recommendations can serve as a guide for prospective tourists in choosing a bus that suits their needs and preferences. Additionally, this research can also provide valuable insights for bus operators in improving service quality and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to uncover the important role played by the social media platform Twitter in shaping public opinion regarding the 2023 Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) selection process in Indonesia. Using advanced techniques such as social network analysis and Python language processing, as well as the application of the Naive Bayes algorithm, this research carefully examines the conversation patterns and topic trends prevalent on Twitter during the CPNS selection phase. The findings of this research unequivocally highlight the enormous influence of Twitter on public sentiment related to CPNS selection, as demonstrated by the classification model's impressive accuracy rate of approximately 95.19%. In addition, this research successfully identifies the influential roles played by key actors, prominent accounts, and narratives in shaping public perceptions. These groundbreaking insights foster a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic nature of public opinion in the context of CPNS selection, providing an invaluable basis for designing more effective communication strategies for the government and prospective civil servants.

Abstract

The management of student report cards at the Sambung Jawa Complex Elementary School still uses Microsoft Excel which can cause the data processing process to be less efficient and prone to errors. The aim of this research is to build a report card application that can increase the efficiency and accuracy of processing student report card data, as well as facilitate access and management of data by teachers and administrative staff. The method used in designing this application is the FAST method (Framework for the Application of Systems Thinking), which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, and implementation. Meanwhile, the testing method used is the black box method, which focuses on testing the functionality of each feature in the application without looking at its internal structure. The results of this research show that the designed web-based report card application can run well and fulfill the needs of report card management at the Sambung Jawa Complex Elementary School. This application has succeeded in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of processing report card data, as well as making data access and management easier by the school.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a critical phase that requires the attention of parents and the continued responsibility of teachers within early childhood education institutions (PAUD). One of the primary philosophies in early childhood education includes shaping, honing, loving, and fostering. Fostering refers to efforts aimed at developing a child's personality and identity, ensuring they possess essential qualities such as integrity, faith, and piety. This research aims to monitor children's activities at PAUD Asoka Makassar through the development of an electronic activity book, commonly known as an e-book of activities. The system manages school activities and monitors student progress, implemented using the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology and Visual Studio Code as the code editor. The implementation of this system facilitates the monitoring of children's activities by both schools and parents, thereby enhancing the overall quality of education at the institution. This research contributes to the knowledge base by demonstrating the practical application of XP in educational settings, providing insights for future studies on digital monitoring systems in early childhood education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Information System that can assist the school admin in providing the validation process for tuition payments, speed of access, and completeness in providing information. This research aims to overcome administrative challenges that often occur in schools, such as errors in recording payments, late payments, and the difficulty of tracking payment history to save time and effort previously spent processing payments manually. The research method used is the Waterfall method. This application will make it easier for the finance department to record student tuition payments method was chosen because of its deep capabilities and describes a flow or stages that run like a waterfall from one stage to the next. This approach relies heavily on good initial planning because changes made in the early stages may be difficult or expensive to implement in later stages. Based on the results of system design and black box testing, it can run well, and user responses also provide very good responses, with 94% of respondents giving very good responses and 0% saying good and quite good. Based on these findings is hoped that it can be used more efficiently and also ensure data security and can store the results of the data that has been processed.

Abstract

Hasco Stationery Store, located on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan Km 09, is a business specializing in printing and office stationery sales. Effective management of stock availability, purchasing, and sales processes is crucial to meeting customer needs. Prior to implementing an integrated information system, inventory management at the store was performed manually by employees, who relied on estimates and experience to record stock, check inventory, and place purchase orders. This manual approach proved inefficient and prone to errors, including inaccurate stock calculations, recording mistakes, and data loss. To address these challenges, this study employed the waterfall development method to design and implement a web-based inventory information system aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management processes. Data were collected through interviews with the store owner, direct observations, and analysis of relevant documents, supplemented by a literature review on stock management principles and information system development. The resulting system simplifies stock management, reduces errors, and improves overall operational efficiency, providing a robust solution for inventory management at the Hasco Stationery Store.

Abstract

The world of education has changed, What world of education which used to be a transfer of knowledge with a standardized model is now changing more straightforwardly, students who used to only be able to learn through teachers/lecturers, schools, campuses, and literature books, are now facilitated by existing facilities, such as the internet, Study Clubs, and learning places that are more following the modern lifestyle of students. So the idea emerged regarding planning training activities in coffee shops/cafes which are recreational and educational facilities by paying attention to all the facilities needed as well as alternatives and new functions that are well adapted, comfortable, and not just for relaxing. Training activities to create a website in a coffee shop/cafe is an alternative to obtaining a comfortable, minimalist, and modern learning atmosphere. An atmosphere that makes anyone feel at home, not only just eating and drinking but also still processing their productivity. Doing activities in a coffee shop/cafe reflects the lifestyle of today's students, which is realized in a new learning method that is expected to represent the mindset, ideas, and creativity of students.
