Abstract

The social resilience system of the Acehnese people is rooted in the pageu gampong tradition. The values of pageu gampong are defined as how the people of Aceh protect themselves from the flow of criminal behavior, robbery, bullying and community supervision based on customary law. This research aims to reveal the facts, situations and phenomena of robbery and bullying behavior in Acehnese society through the protection of the pageu gampong customary system. Data was collected through interviews and analyzed using a juridical-sociological and phenomenological approach. The results of the research show that the practice of robbery and bullying is influenced by lifestyle demands accompanied by economic limitations and weaknesses in socializing in society, due to neglect of the values contained in the pageu gampong tradition. Pageu gampong as a customary law system has values that are integrated with Islamic values and is able to protect the community from all forms of robbery and bullying behavior. However, the tendency of the legal system to be oriented towards positivism and the current pressure for social change also contributed to the fading of the values of pageu gampong as the strength of the social structure of Acehnese society. The values of pageu gampong still survive in Acehnese society which is under the legal system of the Acehnese government.

Abstract

AbtrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran orang tua dalam mendukung pendidikan anak-anak dari keluarga miskin di Miruek Lamredeup, Aceh Besar. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami motivasi pendorong, strategi yang diterapkan orang tua, serta tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi dalam proses pendidikan anak-anak. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari orang tua, guru, tokoh pendidikan, dan perangkat esa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun keterbatasan ekonomi menjadi tantangan utama, keluarga miskin di Miruek Lamredeup, Aceh Besar memiliki semangat kuat untuk mengutamakan pendidikan anak-anak mereka. Orang tua berusaha keras untuk memberikan pendidikan yang layak dengan cara berkorban dan mengurangi pengeluaran yang tidak mendesak. Kehidupan di pedesaan memberikan peluang bagi anak-anak untuk memahami kondisi sosial dan ekonomi keluarga, serta mengajarkan nilai-nilai tanggung jawab dan kerja keras melalui keterlibatan mereka dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Dukungan emosional dan motivasi yang diberikan orang tua berperan penting dalam meningkatkan semangat belajar anak-anak, meskipun mereka menghadapi keterbatasan.

Abstract

This study explores the role of law enforcement agencies in resolving customary law disputes in Bener Meriah and Nagan Raya Regencies, focusing on the integration of customary law with national law. The study addresses the challenges faced and the collaborations between law enforcement and customary leaders in settling disputes, particularly conflicts between customary and formal legal principles. Using a qualitative approach and case study methodology, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including police representatives, the Aceh Customary Council, and prosecutors, along with direct observations and a literature review. The findings indicate that while customary law is officially recognized within Aceh’s legal framework, significant challenges arise in harmonizing it with national law, especially in cases where their principles diverge. Law enforcement agencies, including the police and prosecutors, play a pivotal role in bridging these gaps by working with customary leaders to mediate disputes. These partnerships uphold local wisdom while ensuring compliance with formal legal standards. Case studies from both regencies demonstrate that dispute resolutions often seek a balance between maintaining customary values and adhering to national law. This study contributes to understanding how law enforcement can facilitate effective conflict resolution within a pluralistic legal system.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of fraud prevention in the relationship between human capital, village financial planning, and moslem community welfare. Focusing on 260 villages in South Aceh, a sample of 120 respondents from 40 randomly selected village fund recipients was surveyed, comprising village financial staff, development planning staff, and members of the Village Council (Tuha Peut). The study employs the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) approach, with bootstrapping techniques used to assess mediation effects. The findings indicate that the quality of human resources directly influences both community welfare and fraud prevention. However, fraud prevention does not significantly mediate the relationship between human resource quality and community welfare. Conversely, it plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between village financial planning and community welfare. These results underscore the strategic importance of implementing robust fraud prevention mechanisms within financial planning processes to enhance moslem community welfare. The study recommends prioritizing fraud prevention initiatives alongside human capital development to maximize the impact of village fund programs on moslem welfare outcomes.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK - Tata Kelola Dana Desa: Peran Mediasi Pencegahan Kecurangan terhadap Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Muslim. Penelitian ini mengkaji peran mediasi pencegahan kecurangan dalam hubungan antara kualitas sumber daya manusia, perencanaan keuangan desa, dengan kesejahteraan masyarakat muslim. Kajian ini terfokus pada 260 desa di Aceh Selatan, dengan sampel terdiri dari 120 responden dari 40 desa penerima dana desa yang dipilih secara acak, yaitu staf keuangan desa, staf perencanaan pembangunan, dan anggota Tuha Peut (dewan penasehat desa). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS), dengan teknik bootstrapping untuk menguji efek mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas sumber daya manusia secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat dan pencegahan kecurangan. Namun, pencegahan kecurangan tidak memediasi secara signifikan hubungan antara kualitas sumber daya manusia dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Sebaliknya, pencegahan kecurangan memediasi secara signifikan hubungan antara perencanaan keuangan desa dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan mekanisme pencegahan kecurangan yang kuat dalam proses perencanaan keuangan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dalam konteks masyarakat muslim. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar upaya pencegahan kecurangan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia menjadi prioritas dalam program dana desa guna mengoptimalkan dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat muslim.

Abstract

Fishermen's welfare is a critical issue in economic and social development, especially in coastal areas like Aceh Besar. The implementation of renewable energy not only impacts cost reduction but also addresses fishermen's work needs. Through renewable energy technology adoption, fishermen can enhance productivity with more efficient fishing gear and longer operational durations without returning to land for refueling. This study employs Partial Least Squares (PLS) structural equation modeling to investigate the intricate relationships among Economic Growth (EG), Fishermen's Work Needs (FWN), Use of Renewable Energy (USE), and Welfare of Society (WS). The analysis reveals that Economic Growth significantly enhances Fishermen's Work Needs), indicating that economic improvements drive increased demands and requirements in the fishing sector. Although Economic Growth positively influences Welfare of Society, this relationship lacks statistical significance, suggesting a moderate effect. Conversely, the Use of Renewable Energy positively impacts both Fishermen's Work Needs, and significantly enhances Welfare of Society, the minimal influence of Fishermen's Work Needs on Welfare of Society. underscores the limited direct effect of sector-specific needs on broader societal outcomes. These findings provide critical insights for policymakers and stakeholders in developing sustainable development strategies that balance economic growth, renewable energy adoption, and societal welfare.

Abstract

The mentoring program conducted at Dayah Raudhatun Najah aims to instill honesty in students through structured training and activities. After the initial training, the administrators implement this program by providing direct guidance, interactive sessions, and periodic evaluations. Although the program has shown positive results, several challenges have arisen, including limited time, varying levels of understanding among administrators and students, and a lack of supporting resources. Time constraints hinder the full engagement of participants and the depth of material that can be covered. To address this, it is recommended to extend the program duration or divide it into shorter but more frequent sessions. Differences in understanding levels can be overcome with additional training for administrators and more structured program planning.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of instructional leadership, knowledge of educational management, work motivation, and job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of school principals. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, this study systematically measures the influence of independent variables on organizational commitment. The technique used in sampling is proportional random sampling. Data analysis involves validity and reliability tests, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess direct and mediation effects. The results show that educational management significantly affects organizational commitment, but this effect is negatively mediated by job satisfaction and work motivation. Although good management can increase motivation and job satisfaction, it does not continually strengthen organizational commitment. Instructional leadership also affects organizational commitment, but job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship, indicating that other factors may play a more significant role. In addition, work motivation negatively mediates the relationship between instructional leadership and organizational commitment. These findings provide important implications for educational policy and practice, emphasizing the importance of strategies that not only improve leadership effectiveness but also consider aspects of job satisfaction and motivation to strengthen the commitment of school principals in carrying out their duties.
