Abstract

This paper discusses the phenomenon of the living qur'an and hadith on the ruqyah scene in the film“Ruqyah: The Exorcism” which MD Pictures, Dee Company and Pichouse Films produced in 2017. The film “Ruqyah: The Exorcism” is a religious horror genre film where in each scene there is a phenomenon of the living qur'an and hadith in the form of the use of verses. Al-Qur'an and Hadith of the Prophet in the ruqyah ritual. Therefore, to find out the functional reception of the verses of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet used in the film "Ruqyah: The Exorcism" is to use the theory of functional reception introduced by Ahmad Rafiq. The results of this study are: 1) during the ruqyah process, Ustadz recites the holy verses of the Qur'an in the form of Surah al-Fatihah/1:1-7 and Surah al-Baqarah/2:255 and the hadith of the Prophet no.. 3514 in the Book of Sunan Ibn Majah, the Book of Medicine, the chapter which the Prophet saw as a means of protection. 2) Functional reception on the informative aspect contains the majesty of Allah and the potential of humans who can face the jinn. While the functional reception is in the performative aspect; namely, the jinn in the human body cannot hide and commit deceit, and the jinn can be removed from the human body.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article presents a study examining the use of Jawi and Latin scripts in Muhammad Basiuni Imran's Quran tafseer (commentary) in Sambas. The study employed historical research, where the data was collected through literature study. The results of this study suggest that the use of Jawi and Latin script was related to the different backgrounds of reader segmentation as well as Muhammad Basiuni Imran's stance towards Dutch colonialism. In practical terms, Tafsir Tujuh Surah and Ayat as-Siyam, written in Jawi script, were explicitly written for the Malay community in the Sambas Sultanate, who were only able to read Jawi. On the other hand, al-Ibanatoe wal Inshafoe, written in Latin script, was intended for a wider Indonesian audience, who were able to read Latin script. The choice of script also influenced the thematic content of Muhammad Basiuni Imran's Quranic tafseer. The Tafsir Tujuh Surah and Ayat as-Siyam, composed in Jawi script, were primarily characterized by explanations of well-known verses and surahs that are routinely recited during prayers, thereby necessitating their comprehension by the Malay community within the Sambas Sultanate. On the other hand, al-Ibanatoe wal Inshafoe, written in Latin script, predominantly contained explanations on the contemporary conflicts and debates within the Malay and Indonesian Muslim communities over religious issues. This was designed to facilitate a wider comprehension among the general populace, thereby fostering unity within the Muslim community. From an academic perspective, the utilization of these two scripts indicates Muhammad Basiuni Imran's moderate stance, embodying a symbolic form of resistance against Dutch colonialism. This study further reinforces the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia, specifically via the usage of Jawi and Latin script in Muhammad Basiuni Imran's tafseer in Sambas. Kata kunci: Aksara Jawi, Aksara Latin, Tafsir al-Qur’an, Muhammad Basiuni Imran

Abstract

This paper discusses the contextualization of QS. al-Maidah: 3 regarding pig heart transplants in humans. This practice has become an interesting and viral issue on social media because a few months ago in the United States there was a medical finding about a pig heart transplant in humans which was successfully tested on the world's first patient. In responding to this there are differences of opinion, some allow and do not allow, of course it is very much influenced by the understanding of the text. Therefore, it is very important to review the interpretation of the text using Abdullah Saeed's contextual approach. The results of this study: 1) From a linguistic analysis point of view, the word khinzir means pig. Judging from the micro-macro asbab an-nuzul, pigs are not found in the midst of the Arab nation's historical life. 2) the interpretation of scholars from generation to generation towards the word lahmun khinzir has two main points. First, it is forbidden to eat pork. Second, the use of pig heart valves as a substitute for diseased human heart valves can be justified in an emergency. 3) contextualization. The use of pig heart in human heart transplantation is prohibited as long as there are other efforts that can be cured medically. However, if it is an emergency in order to protect one's life, then it is permissible on the condition that the recovery can only be done by means of a transplant and only done by a trusted specialist doctor.

Abstract

This community service aims to examine the impact of the sociodrama program in addressing bullying behavior at SMPN 1 Anjongan. The sociodrama program was implemented as a preventive and intervention effort to reduce bullying and increase students' awareness of the importance of empathy and appreciating differences. The sociodrama method was used to form anti-bullying peer groups, which serve as agents of change in creating a safe and conducive learning environment at school. This service reveals that the implementation of sociodrama significantly increases students' awareness of the impact of bullying on perpetrators, victims, and bystanders. In addition, this program has successfully formed peer groups that support prosocial behavior and address negative behavior. Other positive impacts include the creation of a more inclusive and harmonious school atmosphere, with increased solidarity among students and active participation in bullying prevention. Furthermore, teachers involved in this program have also acquired new skills in addressing bullying issues and integrating character education into daily learning. This program demonstrates that experience-based approaches such as sociodrama can be an effective method in building an anti-bullying school culture and improving the quality of character education in schools.

Abstract

Basically Muslims around the world are ummah wahidah. But in reality, some Muslims actually conflict with each other and are divided due to differences in opinions, views, by blaming each other and disbelief. Therefore, how do the concepts of the two interpretations written by Hamka and the Ministry of Religion RI respond to this problem, where the two interpretations discuss about society. The method used is the comparative method. The results of this study are 1) Hamka and the Ministry of Religion RI agree in interpreting ummah wahidah as one belief in monotheism and one who likes to do good. Both of them provide a way to realize ummah wahidah by returning to the book that contains the truth and mentioning the factors that become obstacles to the realization of ummah wahidah, namely envy. The difference is, in explaining the meaning, constraints and ways of realizing ummah wahidah, Hamka is more detailed, while the Ministry of Religion RI is simpler; 2) The ummah wahidah offered by Hamka and Ministry of Religion RI is still very relevant to the current context. From the two books of his commentary, he provides a solution so that Muslims adhere to the Al-Quran and as-Sunnah. Meanwhile, Hamka specifically provides a way for humans to return to their unity by finding common ground that refers to good values, even as a means to compete in goodness; 3) The implication is that Muslims must change their mindset and be mature to accept the differences that exist.

Abstract

Basically humans have two main devices, namely the heart and mind. But in reality, some humans prioritize reason in the learning process, while others prioritize the heart. Therefore, this study aims to examine how the Qur'an responds and answers these problems, as contained in QS. al-'Alaq verses 1 and 19. The method used is the method of munasabah al-Qur'an between opening and closing surahs. The results of this study are the first and opening verses of QS. al-'Alaq ordered reading. Reading means learning and activating the mind to educate the intellectual. The command to study and read is not enough, it must be complemented by the order to prostrate and draw closer to Allah. Sujud means submission and obedience to Allah and a lot of use of the heart to educate spiritually. A lot of reading and study should also be a lot of prostration. People who read intensively, but do not prostrate, will transform into smart and intelligent people, but are arrogant, arrogant and arrogant. By intensively reading and prostrating, you will become closer to Allah and close to your fellow human beings. That is the harmonious munasabah between the opening and closing verses in QS. al-'Alaq.
