Abstract

Literary works are cultural products that are believed to be able to communicate the inner experiences of an author to life's problems, both as creators and as part of local community groups. The script for the drama Malam Jahanam by Motinggo Boesje is one of the literary works whose content sheds a lot of inner experiences. One of them is Paijah. The character Paijah is the only female character in the drama script Malam Jahanam by Motinggo Boesje. Paijah's character also experiences many inner conflicts in the drama. The purpose of this research is to describe the inner conflict of the character Paijah in the drama script Malam Jahanam by Motinggo Boesje using the branch of Literary Psychology. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The data used for this study are in the form of dialogues and monologues conveyed by the character Paijah in the play. From the results of this study, there are several forms of inner conflict experienced by the character Paijah, including fear, anger, hurt, and panic. These factors cause the inner conflict of Paijah's character to Mat Kontan as her husband, Soleman as her lover, and Utai can occur.

Abstract

Language error analysis is a working procedure to identify language use. In this digital age, humans can communicate through applications or what can be called social media. One of them is TikTok. This research was conducted on one of the Liputan 6 news uploads on TikTok. The purpose of this study is to identify the language skills of netizens in commenting. With this research, the aim is to identify language errors used by netizens to comment such as errors in spelling or errors in the use of grammatical structures. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, namely by making observations on the comments of one of the uploads and then recording the language errors found as research data that will be further examined.

Abstract

Hidden curriculum emphasizes the development of affective aspects and students' self-actualization as a model for achieving learning goals. This research investigates the implementation of a hidden literacy curriculum in an online learning context, with a focus on program preparation, implementation, and completion. The aim of this research is to revive the nation's literacy spirit for Indonesia's future progress. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach to describe directly how the situation and implementation process takes place. Through analysis of literacy needs and selection of relevant materials, this program preparation creates a solid foundation. The implementation of this hidden curriculum emphasizes literacy orientation, integrated activities, and individual support to increase student participation and development of literacy skills. Literacy final projects, self-evaluations, and portfolio creation provide concrete evidence of students' literacy achievements, while evaluations of program effectiveness guide subsequent improvements. Overall, this research provides insight into how hidden curriculum literacy can shape students as independent learners who are able to apply literacy in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method in improving reading comprehension, with an emphasis on analyzing the advantages, disadvantages, and factors affecting its application. The SQ3R method is applied to various types of texts, including textbooks, scientific articles, and literary literature. This research is a literature study, which focuses on analyzing and synthesizing relevant literature to evaluate the impact of SQ3R in a learning context. The results of the literature study will provide deep insights into the effectiveness of SQ3R in improving reading comprehension, as well as the potential advantages, disadvantages, and barriers that may be encountered. This research is expected to contribute to further understanding of the application of the SQ3R method in learning contexts and provide a foundation for future research.
