Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pattern of reading development that occurs in students. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. After making observations, interviews were then conducted with resource persons who understood how the teaching and learning process was and how students' abilities were in terms of understanding a reading. The thematic method is one form of innovation in the field of education that familiarizes students to think critically and accustoms teachers to have a high focus and always improve their abilities. From the results of research conducted, there were various student responses when retelling what they had read in front of the class. Students who have difficulty controlling their emotions will definitely have difficulty in retelling what they have read and there will be many words that are difficult to miss, and students who are too confident in themselves also tend to have difficulty controlling their existing emotions. They will be more active in telling stories but the essence of the story is not conveyed properly and eventually makes the audience bored. Small things like this will become habits that greatly affect the growth and development of students in the future. Character must be formed from an early age so that students have good and polite communication skills.

Abstract

Abstract

Adequate skin hydration is essential for maintaining skin elasticity, softness, and overall barrier function. Insufficient hydration can lead to various skin health issues, one of the most common being dry skin. This condition is more prone to irritation, itching, and cracking, which can increase the risk of infection. The Community Service Program (PKM) conducted in Tanjung Duren Selatan aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining skin moisture through educational activities and hydration level screening using a skin analyzer. This program was carried out using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach, including skin hydration assessments and education on risk factors, the impact of skin dehydration, and appropriate skincare strategies. Of the 104 participants, 68 individuals (65.38%) were found to have low skin oil levels, and 82 individuals (78.85%) had low skin water content, indicating dry skin conditions. These results highlight the importance of skin hydration screening as an early detection tool for skin health risks and as a foundational step to promote preventive skincare awareness in support of overall health and quality of life.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a metabolic disorder that is increasingly prevalent among the productive-age population and can significantly impair quality of life, particularly due to its progressive nature and often asymptomatic presentation in the early stages. Routine assessments of kidney function—such as estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and serum creatinine levels—are essential for the early detection of kidney impairment. The Community Service Program (PKM) conducted in Grogol Village aimed to raise public awareness regarding the importance of early screening for kidney dysfunction. Among the 71 participants involved in the activity, 9 individuals (12.68%) had elevated serum creatinine levels, 4 individuals (5.63%) showed evidence of stage 3a kidney function decline, and 31 individuals (43.66%) were identified with stage 2 kidney function decline. Only 36 participants (50.7%) had normal kidney function. These results underscore the necessity of early detection efforts to prevent the progression of CKD and to promote sustained public awareness on the importance of maintaining kidney and metabolic health.
