Abstract

PhET Simulation is a virtual lab that can be used as a learning medium for science material. Apart from that, PhET Simulation can also be used as an alternative medium for practical activities. This service activity aims to introduce PhET Simulation as a virtual laboratory to students in class 06 Diponegoro Middle School and help students understand equilibrium material in physics lessons. This service activity was held on Tuesday, October 3 2023 at SMP 06 Diponegoro, which was attended by 30 students from class VIII. The introduction of PhET Simulation activities took place in the science laboratory room at SMP 06 Diponegoro. This service method begins with an explanation of PhET Simulation and the use of PhET Simulation in equilibrium material, questions and answers regarding PhET Simulation, and ends with students practicing using PhET Simulation. It is hoped that this service activity can help students understand equilibrium physics material in class VIII SMP 06 Diponegoro in 2023.

Abstract

Abstract Heat is heat energy that can move from high temperature objects to low temperature objects. This research aims to analyze the effect of heat capacity in drying tobacco on the quality of the tobacco products obtained. In this research, the literature study research method was used. The results obtained are that the heat concept in the tobacco drying process is very influential, because the heat concept is the main key in removing water content from tobacco leaves. And there are several methods for drying tobacco that use the heat concept, namely the sun curing, flue curing and fire/smoke curing methods, but the methods that are often used by farmers in Indonesia for drying tobacco are the sun curing and fire/smoke curing methods. Factors that influence the efficiency and quality of tobacco products are land area, use of seeds, use of fertilizer, use of pesticides, use of labor, production and productivity of tobacco farming.AbstrakKalor merupakan energi panas yang dapat berpindah dari benda bersuhu tinggi ke benda  bersuhu rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kapasitas kalor dalam pengeringan tembakau pada kualitas hasil tembakau yang didapatkan. Pada  penelitian  kali  ini  menggunakan  metode  penelitian  studi  literatur. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu konsep kalor pada proses pengeringan tembakau sangat berpengaruh, karena konsep kalor merupakan kunci utama dalam menghilangkan kadar air dari daun tembakau. Serta terdapat beberapa metode pengeringan tembakau yang menggunakan konsep kalor yakni metode sun curing, flue curing, dan fire/smoke curing, akan tetapi metode yang sering digunakan oleh petani di Indonesia dalam pengeringan tembakau adalah metode sun curing dan fire/smoke curing. Faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi dan kualitas hasil tembakau yakni luas tanah, penggunaan bibit, penggunaan pupuk, penggunaan pestisida, penggunaan tenaga kerja, produksi dan produktivitas usaha tani tembakau.

Abstract

LKPD is a printed media or teaching material containing guide actors that can be used by students to develop their abilities.LKPD is one of the media to create a better learning atmosphere. LKPD was developed based on the PBL (ProblemBased Learning) model which is a learning approach to challenge students to think critically and acquire real-world problem-solving skills. This study was to analyze the completeness and contextual aspects of vector material PBL-based physics worksheets. This research uses the method of Research and Development (R&D).This development research is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. The steps in the LKPD development stage include an assessment by development test experts, evaluation, and responses from experts and students. Based on the validation results obtained from the first validator and the second validator, it can be seen that the completeness and contextual aspects of PBL-based Physics Worksheets in vector material obtain an average value of 3 and 4 indicating that the results obtained are good. In addition, the contextual aspects of LKPD are able to improve high-level critical thinking skills in class X high school students because the material presented is related to everyday life. Overall, PBL-based physics worksheets on this vector material were deemed fit to be used as an effective physics learning medium.
