Abstract

The issue of nutrition and physical fitness in primary school students in Indonesia is still a concern. Lack of nutritional knowledge and healthy eating habits, as well as low physical activity are the main factors. This study aims to examine the PJOK education program in improving nutritional knowledge, healthy eating habits, and physical fitness of elementary school students. The research method used is the literature study method, to collect data from various trusted sources, such as scientific journals, scientific articles, and research reports. Data were analyzed qualitatively to identify effective PJOK education programs and their impact on nutrition knowledge, healthy eating habits, and physical fitness of elementary school students. The results showed that a physical education program integrated with nutrition and physical activity learning materials can significantly improve nutrition knowledge, healthy eating habits, and physical fitness of primary school students. This program needs to be implemented in a sustainable manner and involve various related parties, such as teachers, parents, and the school community.

Abstract

Pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar merupakan komponen penting dalam kurikulum yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik, meningkatkan kebugaran fisik, dan mempromosikan gaya hidup sehat di kalangan anak-anak. Pendidikan jasmani (penjas) di sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perkembangan fisik, mental, dan sosial anak. Tujuan pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar adalah untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik dasar, meningkatkan kebugaran fisik, dan menanamkan sikap positif terhadap aktivitas fisik yang dapat bertahan seumur hidup. Pendidikan jasmani menurut para ahli adalah sebuah disiplin ilmu yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan fisik, pengetahuan, dan sikap positif terhadap aktivitas fisik yang dapat bertahan seumur hidup. Manfaat utama pendidikan jasmani adalah peningkatan kebugaran fisik. Melalui aktivitas fisik yang terstruktur, seperti permainan, olahraga, dan latihan kebugaran, siswa dapat meningkatkan kekuatan, daya tahan, fleksibilitas, dan koordinasi mereka. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama yang dirancang untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengidentifikasi strategi pengajaran inovatif dalam pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi pengajaran inovatif dalam pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa disekolah dasar terkhusus dalam pembelajaran penjas. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar memiliki peran yang krusial dalam mengembangkan fisik, mental, dan sosial anak-anak. Berbagai strategi inovatif, mulai dari penggunaan teknologi hingga pendekatan inklusif dan pembelajaran tematik, telah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran penjas,. Integrasi teknologi, permainan edukatif, pendekatan berbasis keterampilan, partisipasi aktif siswa, dan pendekatan inklusif semuanya membantu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menarik, beragam, dan inklusif bagi siswa. selain dari itu di sekolah tertentu masih dominan menggunakan pendekatan bermain untuk meminimalisir minat dan bakat siswa.

Abstract

Background. Scout extracurricular activities in elementary schools focus on improving students' skills, leadership, and sense of responsibility. The scout movement aims to build character and develop positive values through outdoor activities and practical learning. This is particularly important in the modern era, where children face challenges brought by digitalization. Purpose. The objective of this research is to explore the role of the Scout Movement in forming children's character in the modern era, specifically addressing how scouting activities can help children develop their character to face the challenges posed by digitalization. Method. This research employs a qualitative method using journal and book analysis as the primary data sources. An in-depth literature review is conducted to examine how the Scout Movement contributes to character development in children. Results. The analysis reveals that the scout movement significantly influences children's character formation, particularly in areas such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and independence. The literature reviewed indicates that the moral principles and life skills taught in scouting activities help counteract the negative effects of the digital era, such as technology addiction and decreased social interaction. Scout leaders are identified as key figures in modeling and facilitating the character-building process. Conclusion. The research concludes that the scout movement remains relevant and effective in shaping children's character, even in the face of digital era challenges. It contributes positively to personal and social development. To maximize the benefits of scouting in building character, the study suggests collaboration between schools, parents, and scout organizations.
