Abstract

This research aims to develop LKPD based on Problem Based Instruction (PBI) for students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This type of research is the research and development (R&D) ADDIE development model. Validity, practicality and effectiveness are the three kinds of instruments to be analyzed. The research subjects for the validity test are lecturers as media experts and teachers as material experts. While the practical and effectiveness test subjects were thirty eighth graders. The research instruments used are questionnaires and tests. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative data analysis from validator comments and suggestions and quantitative data analysis in the form of scoring the percentage of validity, practicality and effectiveness of LKPD. Research conclusions: (1) Problem Based Instruction (PBI)-based LKPD on opportunity material meets the criteria, is very valid, very practical and very effective and can be used in the student learning process (2) Student learning outcomes after participating in learning using Problem Based Instruction (PBI)-based LKPD have met the expected problem-solving ability indicators.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of quadrilateral plane shapes among fourth-grade students at SD 060931 Medan through the use of the educational game media Wordwall. Conducted over two cycles, each comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases, the study involved 16 students and used test instruments validated by experts. Data were collected through learning outcome tests administered after each cycle. The analysis employed descriptive quantitative techniques by comparing average scores across the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The results showed a significant improvement in student achievement: from an initial average score of 33.75 in the pre-cycle to 53.75 in cycle I (an increase of 59.26%), and further to 74.38 in cycle II (an increase of 38.37%). The total improvement from the pre-cycle to cycle II reached 120.37%. These findings indicate that Wordwall effectively enhances student engagement and understanding of geometric concepts. The study concludes that interactive and game-based media like Wordwall can significantly improve learning outcomes in mathematics, especially on abstract topics such as geometry.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of the Adaptive Synthetic (ADASYN) oversampling technique on the performance of the Naïve Bayes classification algorithm on datasets with class imbalance. Class imbalance is a common problem in machine learning that can cause bias in prediction results, especially in minority classes. ADASYN is one of the oversampling methods that focuses on adaptively synthesizing new data for minority classes. In this study, the performance of the Naïve Bayes algorithm was tested on Anemia Diagnosis datasets before and after the application of ADASYN. This dataset contains 104 instances, 5 attributes, and 2 classes, and has an imbalance ratio of 3. The evaluation was carried out by comparing accuracy, confusion matrix, precision, recall, and F1-score to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of ADASYN in improving Naïve Bayes. The results of the study show that the performance of the oversampling method depends on the imbalance ratio so it is important to ensure that the oversampling method does not cause overfitting and this can be overcome by using ADASYN which only selects Selected Neighbors. The results showed that ADASYN significantly increased accuracy from 0.57 to 0.78, precision from 0.17 to 0.74, recall from 0.20 to 0.88, and F1-Score from 0.18 to 0.80. In this study, we also compared the application of ADASYN and SMOTE on the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The results show that ADASYN outperforms SMOTE across all key metrics—accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-Score—while the accuracy improvements were statistically significant (p-value = 0.00903).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren riset Batiah dalam konteks sistem dan manajemen agroindustri menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik. Data dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar dan Science Direct menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish dengan kata kunci “batiah”, “rengginang”, dan “puffed rice”. Sebanyak 104 publikasi diperoleh dan diseleksi menggunakan Mendeley, lalu dianalisis secara visual menggunakan VOSviewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tren riset Batiah meningkat sejak 2011, dengan puncak pada tahun 2017. Analisis kata kunci menunjukkan bahwa fokus riset Batiah masih terbatas pada aspek pengolahan dan kemasan, sementara topik manajemen rantai pasok, hilirisasi produk, dan teknologi produksi skala industri masih jarang dikaji. Studi ini mengidentifikasi adanya gap dalam pengembangan Batiah dari perspektif agroindustri yang sistemik. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan sistem dan manajemen perlu diterapkan dalam riset dan pengembangan produk Batiah ke depan untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya sebagai produk unggulan lokal

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that are planted and cultivated by the community both in the field and in the yard which are used to fulfill the family's need for medicines. Medicinal plants or TOGA are often referred to as the pharmacy of life. The use of TOGA is utilized empirically because of its many properties and low side effects compared to the use of modern drugs when consuming for a long period of time. This socialization aims to increase the knowledge of the community including the efficacy of ginger, the substances contained in ginger, how to make dried instant ginger, how to serve ginger wedang drinks, and how to select quality ginger that meets Indonesian national standards. From this socialization, the community can also utilize TOGA in an effort to improve health.
