Abstract

The increasing number of people affected by the Covid-19 virus is due to society's lack of preparation for the arrival of this disease. Today's pandemic conditions have increased the number of victims every time, so a strategy is needed to overcome the spread of COVID-19. The research location in this study was at several health institutions, and data was collected from various communities. The research location was carried out in the city of Medan through various health agencies. The research results show that maintaining distance and using medical equipment such as masks are the right strategies to overcome the spread of COVID-19. This is proven by various communities starting to comply with the rules, and the spread of COVID-19 can be reduced. This research concludes that maintaining distance and using masks is the most appropriate strategy for reducing the spread of COVID-19 in Medan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: In the era of National Health Insurance, hospitals must improve their services for patient satisfaction and increase access to health services. National Health Insurance patients have been treated at one of the government-owned hospitals, Sultan Sulaiman Regional General Hospital, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The number of outpatient visits for National Health Insurance participants who are Non-Recipients of Contribution Assistance (Non-PBI) at Sultan Sulaiman Regional General Hospital has decreased by 31.4% over the past two years, namely 2014 and 2015. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of service quality on the satisfaction of National Health Insurance participant outpatients at Regional public hospital Sultan Sulaiman. Method: The research method was an explanatory survey. This study involved 243 non-PBI National Health Insurance participant outpatients, and 71 samples were taken by chance. The data, collected through questionnaire interviews, were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests with α = 0.05. Results: The results showed that the satisfaction of non-PBI National Health Insurance participant outpatients at Regional public hospital Sultan Sulaiman was statistically influenced by the quality of doctor services, which included aspects of physical evidence, reliability, and responsiveness.

Abstract

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a malignant disease of the nasopharyngeal epithelium. This malignancy is often found in the Rosenmüller fossa. This tumor can spread to various areas and organs of this structure, including the nasal cavity, skull base, parapharyngeal space, and oropharynx. Diet, oncovirus infection, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and genetic alterations are some of the causes of NPC development. SMARCA2 is considered a tumor suppressor. To date, very few studies have comprehensively studied the mechanism of SMARCA2 inactivation. Multi-omics analysis was used to study the mechanism of SMARCA2 inactivation in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and the dCas9-DNMT3a system was used to assess the role of promoter methylation in regulating SMARCA2 transcription. Decreased SMARCA2 expression was significantly associated with SMARCA2 promoter hypermethylation. This study aims to examine the influence of Smarca2 expression on tumor mass expansion, lymph node enlargement, and histopathological type of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. This study used a cross-sectional analytical study design by collecting secondary data from medical records of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The results showed that tumor expansion in NPC patients was generally T3 and T4, with a total of 17 people (68%). Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck most often occurred in N2 and N3, with a total of 21 people (84%). The majority of patients were also in clinical stages III and IV as many as 23 people (92%).

Abstract

The lack of socialization carried out by Family Planning Field Extension Workers (FPFE) leads to fear among the community, especially among Couples of Reproductive Age (CRA), in choosing Long-Term Contraception Methods (LTCM). Couples of reproductive age require health education or counseling to help them determine which contraceptive method to use. This study aims to determine the role of PLKB for couples of reproductive age (PUS) in choosing LTCM at Sekerak District Health Center, Aceh Tamiang Regency in 2022. This study is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was all couples of reproductive age in Sekerak Kanan Village, Sekerak District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, and the research sample consisted of 126 people. Data collection was done directly by distributing questionnaires to couples of reproductive age. Then, it was followed by the process of data analysis using the Chi-Square test and logistic regression. The results showed that there is a relationship between counseling quality in choosing LTCM with a value of (p=0.001; PR=3.4; 95% CI 2.201-5.294), there is a relationship between PLKB barriers in choosing LTCM with a value of (p=0.001; PR=2.2; 95% CI 1.724-3.007), and there is a relationship between FPFE capacity in choosing long-term contraceptive methods with a value of (p=0.001; PR=2.4; 95% CI 1.704-3.472). Furthermore, the dominant factor related to the selection of LTCM is counseling quality with a value of (p=0.000; PR=10.766 95% CI 3.491-33.204). Couples of reproductive age are expected to increase their knowledge, especially about long-term contraceptive methods, and it is hoped that men will not be ashamed to participate in family planning programs.
