Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the design and implementation of teaching modules in Class IX learning at SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda as a result of the teacher’s teaching module design which is a document containing the objectives, steps, media and assessment needed in implementing civics learning in class. Apart from that, in the effectiveness of the design and implementation of teaching modules in civics learning, teachers must design teaching modules before teaching in the classroom by designing them interestingly and creatively ti achieve the objectives of implementation plan made by the teacher and reflect on themselves to achieve goals. And teachers must be able to utilize technology in learning ehen implementing learning in class, implementing learning that guides, directs, direcst student in achieving learning goals. This research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Sources of research data include civics teachers and class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is using data reduction, data presentation, data presentation and conclusions. Triangulation was carried out to explain the validity of the data using source interviews and techniques. So the research results shiw that the teaching module design created by the teacher is the teacher’s guidance and guidance before teaching and must be designed or designed in an attractive way to achieve learning objectives. Having an attractive teaching module design can increase educators understanding and activeness in learning and guide teachers in designing teaching and learning modules in accordance with the learning objectives to be achieved in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the implementation of the discovery learning model by PPKn Teachers of SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan in the Discovery Learning Syntax by PPKn Teachers of SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. This type of research aims to analyze the implementation of the discovery learning model by PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. The research was conducted in March 2024. The research subjects were 3 Student Respondents with high, medium and low criteria and 1 PPKn Teacher Informant. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model by PPKn teachers in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subject at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan. The results of the study during the observation of PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Balikpapan applied six Discovery Learning syntaxes, namely: (1) Stimulation, (2) Problem Statement, (3) Data Collection, (4) Data Processing, (5) Verification, and (6) Generalization. The implementation of the syntax has generally gone well, as indicated by several indicators such as active involvement of students in the learning process, increased student analytical skills and a deeper understanding of the concept of discovery learning and student enthusiasm in participating in learning. The Discovery Learning learning model can be used as an alternative problem solving in PPKn learning, because this model prioritizes the discovery process to obtain stages to train students' abilities in both cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. Teachers in implementing discovery learning according to its syntax so that the learning process in the classroom runs well where students actively follow the lesson, so that students' mastery of the subject matter shows an increase. This is indicated by the test results given by the teacher. With the discovery learning model, PPKn learning in the classroom is more enjoyable.

Abstract

Teacher competency is a set of mastery of abilities that must exist in teachers in order to realize their performance appropriately and effectively. Discipline is obedience to existing rules, and discipline means obeying rules, and discipline includes all matters related to discipline. The aim of this research is to describe teacher competency in developing students' disciplined behavior at SMKN 8 Samarinda school and to describe the implementation of developing students' disciplined personality at SMKN 8 Samarinda school. Types of qualitative phenomenological research. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 8 Samarinda in December 2023-January 2024. The research subjects were one principal, two PPKN teachers and five students using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data collection. The results of the research show that Teacher Competency in Developing Students' Disciplinary Behavior Personality at SMKN 8 Samarinda School, teachers have teacher competency which includes educating, guiding, teaching, training and evaluating in developing students' disciplined personality at State Vocational School 8 Samarinda. And in its implementation, PPKN teachers use several methods, including habituation, example, creating a conducive atmosphere, regulations, punishments and rewards in developing the disciplined personality of students at SMK Negeri 8 Samarinda.

Abstract

Higher education is a scientific institution which has the task of carrying out education and teaching above secondary level as well as providing education and teaching based on Indonesian national culture in a scientific manner. Sexual harassment behavior is an act of harassment that can occur directly or indirectly. Where the action involves another person in unwanted sexual activity, either verbally, or actions carried out by someone to control or manipulate another person. In general, the perpetrator of sexual harassment feels that he has power that can dominate the victim, and instills that there is nothing the victim can do, because the perpetrator has certain power. Sexual harassment on campus occurs due to a legal vacuum in preventing, handling and protecting victims of sexual harassment in the tertiary environment. In cases of sexual harassment that occur among students, it can occur due to a lack of education and counseling regarding sexual activity, it can also be caused by environmental factors where the perpetrator of the harassment feels they have the opportunity to carry out acts of harassment in the university environment. This research was conducted using qualitative methods which included observation, in-depth interviews, researchers have explored the nuances and complexities related to these issues, and researchers are ready to understand perceptions and anticipatory strategies regarding whether or not the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) study program can help in handling sexual harassment by PPKn students at FKIP Mulawarman University.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the planning of audiovisual learning media management by Civics Education (PPKn) teachers, (2) the implementation of audiovisual learning media management, (3) the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains after the use of audiovisual media, and (4) the obstacles and solutions encountered by teachers in managing audiovisual media. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects were Civics Education teachers and grade XII students at SMA Negeri 2 Tenggarong. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the management of audiovisual media by Civics Education teachers was carried out in a planned and integrated manner with learning objectives. The media used included interactive powerpoint, instructional videos, current news broadcasts, and the quizizz application. The evaluation of learning outcomes showed improvements in the cognitive domain (indicated by differences between pre-test and post-test scores), the affective domain (indicated through attitude observation), and the psychomotor domain (indicated through discussions, group presentations, and students’ products/creations). Obstacles encountered included technical and pedagogical limitations, which were overcome through collaborative strategies and the optimization of technology use. Overall, audiovisual media management has proven to contribute positively to improving students’ learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. This research is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in developing innovative, technology-based learning strategies.

Abstract

Analisis Kemampuan Peserta Didik Salam Berpikir Kritis Melalui Metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Oleh Guru Pada Pembelajaran PKn Dikelass X SMA Negeri 4 Samarinda menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode FGD oleh guru dalam pembelajaran PKn dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam berpikir kritis. Melalui diskusi kelompok, peserta didik diajak untuk berpartisipasi aktif, mengemukakan pendapat, mempertimbangkan berbagai sudut pandang, dan mengambil keputusan secara rasional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode FGD efektif dalam membentuk kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif yang relevan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PKn di SMA Negeri 4 Samarinda. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis di sekolah menengah atas. {Abstrak Maksimal 200 kata berbahasa Indonesia atau bahasa inggris dicetak tegak dengan Cambria 11 point. Abstrak harus jelas, deskriptif dan harus memberikan gambaran singkat masalah yang diteliti. Abstrak meliputi alasan pemilihan topik atau pentingnya topik penelitian, metode penelitian dan ringkasan hasil. Abstrak harus diakhiri dengan komentar tentang pentingnya hasil atau kesimpulan singkat.

Abstract

Waste management is a systematic and sustainable activity that includes reducing and handling waste. Social conflict is a social process in which individuals or groups try to fulfill their goals by opposing opposing parties accompanied by threats or violence. The aim of this research is to describe the social conflict that occurs in the community living around the Sambutan District TPA in the form of a foul smell arising from piles of rubbish as well as acts of thuggery experienced by rubbish truck drivers and to describe the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management in Overcoming Social Conflict Between Communities Around the Sambutan District TPA. Types of qualitative phenomenological research. The research was conducted at the Sambutan District TPA in March 2024- May 2024. The research subjects were one Head of the Sambutan TPA UPTD, one TPA Supervisor and four communities around the Sambutan TPA using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data collection. The results of the research show that the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management in Overcoming Social Conflict between the communities around the Sambutan District TPA shows that the head of the UPTD and the Sambutan TPA Supervisor have carried out waste management in accordance with Law Number 18 of 2008, such as using waste during 3 days to reduce the stench from piles of rubbish and operate rubbish truck drivers at certain hours to avoid acts of thuggery at night, this is to overcome social conflicts between communities around the TPA in Sambutan sub-district
