Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penting guru dalam mengembangkan budaya literasi di MI Alfithrah Surabaya sekaligus untuk memahami bagaimana peran guru mempengaruhi perkembangan literasi siswa, baik dalam aspek membaca maupun menulis. Metode dalam penelitian ini Adalah jenis Kualitatif deskriptif, pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik Observasi Partisipan, Wawancara Mendalam dan Dokumentasi. Adapun Analisi Data menggunakan tiga alur yakni reduksi data penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan Hasil Penelitian peran serta guru dalam menggalakkan gerakan literasi sekolah sangat dibutuhkan karena dalam menyusun dan mewujudkan adanya gerakan literasi sekolah dibutuhkan inovasi-inovasi yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam menerapkan dan mengembangkan program terkait. Hasil penelitian ini juga menyoroti berbagai peran kunci guru dalam mempromosikan budaya literasi yang kuat. Adapun factor pendukung dan penghambat mengembangkan budaya literasi yakni dari pihak sekolah dan orang tua juga harus ikut andil dalam mendukung program-program yang telah dirancang, seperti memfasilitasi agar lingkungan sekolah menjadi lingkungan yang kondusif untuk mewujudkan gemar membaca, serta orang tua juga mendukung lingkungan di rumah agar selaras dengan program literasi yang ada di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan yang lebih mendalam dalam mempertimbangkan peran guru sebagai agen utama dalam mengembangkan budaya literasi yang kuat di Madrasah.

Abstract

According to Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, the role and duties of a teacher encompass being an educator, instructor, and mentor that be interpreted as a counselor. Therefore, students' perceptions of counseling services are crucial. By understanding students' perspectives, Lecturers can design more effective learning strategies aligned with the demands of the new curriculum, enhancing their guidance or counseling skills. This research aims to understand students' perceptions of how to improve counseling abilities. The study employs qualitative descriptive research and the subject are PGSD/PGMI students in Surabaya who are currently taking or have completed guidance and counseling courses. Based on data, prospective Pre-service Teacher's Counseling Abilities are perceived positively and diversely regarding ways to enhance counseling skills. Theoretically, students have demonstrated the ability to analyze their own needs for improving counseling skills. On average, students expect an increase in training intensity and opportunities to deepen practical experiences, supported by technology and facilities. With the heightened intensity of training and supportive facilities, students' counseling abilities and competencies are anticipated to gradually improve.

Abstract

Every student inherently possesses multiple intelligences across various types, though some are more developed than others. The current independent curriculum grants freedom to schools, teachers, and students to maximize their respective competencies. A challenge in the learning process is that many teachers in Indonesia do not yet understand the appropriate methods to highlight the strengths of each student's intelligence. Due to this lack of understanding regarding the implementation of multiple intelligences, teachers are not able to optimally develop each student's unique intelligences. This research aims to develop a product in the form of student worksheets (in Bahasa called LKPD) based on multiple intelligences within the independent curriculum, which is suitable for use in elementary schools. The research methodology adapts the Borg & Gall R&D method but only utilizes seven stages: data collection, planning, product draft development, field testing, product revision, final product, and dissemination. Based on the research findings, the multiple intelligences-based LKPD meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable for use in science education at the fourth-grade level of elementary school. This multiple intelligences-based LKPD can interpret various multiple intelligences, thereby optimizing the talents, interests, and intelligences of each individual character, which in turn will impact the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat dikatakan efektif jika selama kegiatan tercipta suasana pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, kondusif serta komunikatif. Mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris adalah mata pelajaran yang sangat dibutuhkan di masa depan. Maka perlu bagi pendidik untuk menentukan strategi yang sesuai terutama untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan konseptual peserta didik. Salah satu solusinya adalah menggunakan strategi role playing. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV MI Baitussalam Gresik yang berjumlah 24 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantatif deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pretest, posttest, dan lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik. Dari analisis ini didapatkan bahwa pretes diperoleh skor rata-rata 68.75 sedangkan pada postes diperoleh skor rata-rata 80,41. Dapat terlihat adanya perubahan yang meningkat dari nilai pretes dan postes setelah penggunaan strategi role playing. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah strategi Role playing dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan konseptual peserta didik.

Abstract

One of the duties of a teacher is to be a guide or what could also be called a counselor for their students. Teachers who act as counselors must be able to guide students in choosing educational programs at school according to their abilities, interests and aspirations. In addition, you must also be skilled in helping students to solve problems and make healthy adjustments. Therefore, students must have the provisions and abilities to act as counselors at school. This research aims to find out how much students' abilities are to prepare themselves as counselors at school and how to improve these abilities for students.This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were PGSD/PGMI students in Surabaya who were/had taken guidance and counseling courses. Based on research data and results, prospective elementary/MI student teachers understand the theory, principles, techniques and procedures of guidance and counseling in elementary schools, however, there is a gap between theoretical understanding and its application, including how to prepare a service implementation plan (RPL) and how to identify characteristics. students directly. This is proven by the results of the questionnaire where of the 93.5% of respondents who stated that they understood the theories, principles, techniques and procedures of guidance and counseling, only 21.7% understood their implementation. To deepen your insight regarding counseling guidance services and improve students' counseling skills, do lots of practice, both in simulations and in the field, in order to increase your sensitivity as a counselor. By implementing these steps, it is hoped that prospective elementary/MI teacher students can improve their teaching skills so that they can provide more effective counseling services and support optimal student development in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/Primary School environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of environmental care character among elementary school students through environmental-based education. The research conducted at SD Pacar Keling V Surabaya employs a qualitative descriptive approach involving five fourth-grade students, their parents, and two class teachers as subjects. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. Key findings reveal that students actively engage in activities promoting environmental cleanliness and sustainability. These activities include routine clean-up events like “Clean Fridays” and outdoor initiatives like cleaning Kenjeran Beach. Students demonstrate energy conservation habits by turning off lights and electrical devices when not in use. They also understand the importance of waste separation, although the school currently uses a single trash can for all waste types. Furthermore, students participate in composting activities, utilizing used rice washing water as a primary ingredient, underscoring their practical involvement in environmental care. This study highlights the role of school and home environments in fostering students’ environmental awareness, supported by parental involvement and school programs like the Adiwiyata initiative. Overall, this research underscores the effectiveness of integrating environmental education into the curriculum and school Culture, promoting a sustainable and environmentally conscious mindset among young students.

Abstract

Heutagogy-based learning can be a learning design solution that can accommodate the diverse potential of learners. By understanding and applying heutagogy, educators can develop learning designs that maximise the potential of each learner. This heutagogy approach is more flexible with a classroom management style that gives full rights to learners. However, the application of a theory definitely requires proof in order to be implemented globally. Therefore, this research was conducted to explore and observe the implementation of heutagogy-based learning in Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with the research subject of 3rd grade students of UPT SDN 347 Gresik on Bawean Island. Based on the observation results, it shows positive results and very good categories. In addition, students look very active during learning. However, despite the positive observation results, there are several challenges in implementing this heutagogy-based learning, such as the uneven ability of reflection and self-evaluation among students, which leads to the recommendation that it takes adjustments to implement heutagogy learning, especially in low grades (A Phase).

Abstract

Dalam perancangan perangkat pembelajaran, akan membutuhkan waktuyang cukup lama jika dikerjakan secara manual. Melalui bantuan artificialintelligence (AI) dapat memudahkan guru dalam merancang pembelajaranyang menitikberatkan pada keberagaman siswa. Oleh karenanya,pemanfaatan AI secara krusial sangat dibutuhkan oleh guru. Oleh karenanya,tim pengabdi mengusung tema pemanfaatan AI dalam membantumemaksimalkan pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar. Metode yang digunakanadalah partisipatif (Participatory Approach). Adapun tahapanya antara lain:Focus Group Discussion (FGD), menyusun modul mandiri, sosialisasi,evaluasi dan laporan. Rangkaian kegiatan selama bulan Juli-Agustus 2024yang telah disusun oleh tim pengabdi berjalan dengan lancar, meskipun adabeberapa kendala antara lain dikarenakan beberapa peserta merupakan gurusenior yang masih belum lancar dalam penggunaan teknologi. Namun hal inibisa teratasi dengan adanya bimbingan secara individual. Selain itu adanyamodul mandiri bisa memudahkan peserta jika nanti saat penyusunan modulajar, peserta lupa prompt AI yang dapat membantu mereka dalam menyusunperangkat pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil dari kegiatan ini adalahdisebarkannya template modul ajar yang baku dan dapat digunakan olehseluruh peserta. Saran dari tim pengabdi agar peserta dapat memanfaatkanAI tidak hanya dalam penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, tetapi jugamemanfaatkan AI untuk kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga pembelajaran lebihkreatif dan menarik serta mengikuti tren perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

The Digital Library "Lentera Ilmu" MI Baitussalam has several programs, where after further study, the programs carried out are more focused on solving problems in learning. However, the habituation stage of library visits as a source of many books is still not optimal. The habituation stage is still not maximized in the entire program in the digital library "Lentera Ilmu" MI Baitussalam. Librarians and teachers do not know and understand the compulsory reading curriculum program. Therefore, the service team carried out this activity to maximizing the digital library of the MI Baitussalam Lantern of Knowledge This activity was carried out during July-August 2023. The methods used to achieve the goals of service are conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with related institutions and agencies, conducting socialization to teachers and librarians related to the Compulsory Reading Curriculum program, designing the Compulsory Reading Curriculum (KWB) program that is tailored to the circumstances of MI Baitussalam, conducting simulations of program implementation, evaluations and reports. Service activities are carried out systematically and receive quite high appreciation from the madrasah, as evidenced by the active participation of teachers and librarians during this service activity. The community service program has been carried out well and smoothly, and this service activity also produces a product, namely a reading track sheet with the title "Bacaanku Hari Ini" to monitor students' reading results and a compulsory reading curriculum guidebook that can be used by librarians and teachers in running the compulsory reading curriculum at school.

Abstract

Basic Literacy Training of Islamic Primary Teachers for Achieving Sustainable Development Goal: Quality Education ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melatih dan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran literasi kelas awal yang cocok digunakan untuk guru Sekolah Dasar Islam. Tingkat literasi dan keterampilan literasi dasar anak Sekolah Dasar telah menjadi permasalahan dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia beberapa tahun terakhir. Lebih dari setengah pemuda Indonesia yang menyelesaikan sekolah formal masih belum memahami apa itu literasi, termasuk tidak memahami apa yang dibaca serta banyaknya manfaat yang diperoleh seperti keterampilan tambahan, kekayaan pengetahuan, dan peningkatan kualitas hidup. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengembangan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknis analisis kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan dan hasil evaluasi, serta analisis kuantitatif deskriptif untuk menjabarkan hasil implementasi. Hasil pengembangan berupa paket pembelajaran literasi dasar (early class literacy package). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pelatihan literasi pada guru Sekolah Dasar Islam ditandai dengan penguasaan paket pembelajaran literasi dasar. Paket pembelajaran literasi dasar dapat juga membantu guru dalam memberikan pendidikan yang berkualitas.Kata kunci: Guru pendidikan sekolah dasar Islam, literasi, sekolah dasar, SDGs, pendidikan berkualitasABSTRACTThis study aims to train and develop early grade literacy learning tools which is suitable for Islamic primary school teachers. The literacy level and basic literacy skills of primary school children have become a problem in the education field in Indonesia in recent years. More than half of Indonesian youth who finish formal education still do not understand what literacy is, including not understanding what to read and the many benefits that come with it, such as additional skills, a wealth of knowledge, and improved quality of life. The method used is the development of the ADDIE model. This study uses descriptive qualitative analysis techniques to describe the development and evaluation results and descriptive quantitative analysis to describe the implementation results. The result of the development is in the form of an early class literacy package. This study shows that the success of literacy training for Islamic primary School teachers is characterized by mastery of basic literacy learning packages. Basic literacy learning packages can also assist teachers in providing quality education.Keyword: Islamic teacher, literacy, primary schools, SDGs, quality education
