Abstract

Hasil observasi dan uji pendahuluan pada beberapa SMP di kota Malang menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar. Hal tersebut karena siswa masih kesulitan dalam membuat koneksi matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, koneksi konsep aljabar dengan konsep lain dimatematika, serta koneksi antar konsep aljabar. Respon yang ditunjukkan beberapa siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar pada uji pendahuluan hanya sampai pada level multistructural pada taksonomi SOLO. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi respon yang diberikan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah adalah gaya kognitif. Gaya kognitif berdasarkan penggunaan waktu dan jumlah kesalahan yang dibuat menurut Kagan dan Kogan adalah gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses koneksi matematis siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan instrumen tes gaya kognitif, tes koneksi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif mampu menggunakan semua informasi yang diketahui kemudian menghubungkan semua informasi tersebut sehingga dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka proses koneksi matematis siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar mencapai level relational hingga level extended abstract pada taksonomi SOLO.

Abstract

This research aims to describe profil of preservice teacher’s mathematical connection ability in solving mathematical problem based on SOLO taxonomy. The approach of this research is qualitative with descriptive method. Respondent in this research is 29 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education students STAI Al-Fithrah Surabaya. This research uses mathematical connection test and interview guide to collect data. The result of this research show that the average mathematical connection ability of high-ability students is 85% with a very good category and that is at the level of multistructural to relational, the average mathematical connection ability of medium-ability students is 50,5% with enough category and that is at the level of unistructural to multistructural, and the average mathematical connection ability of low-ability students is 16% with a very low category and that is at the level of pre-structural until unistructural level.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penting guru dalam mengembangkan budaya literasi di MI Alfithrah Surabaya sekaligus untuk memahami bagaimana peran guru mempengaruhi perkembangan literasi siswa, baik dalam aspek membaca maupun menulis. Metode dalam penelitian ini Adalah jenis Kualitatif deskriptif, pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik Observasi Partisipan, Wawancara Mendalam dan Dokumentasi. Adapun Analisi Data menggunakan tiga alur yakni reduksi data penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan Hasil Penelitian peran serta guru dalam menggalakkan gerakan literasi sekolah sangat dibutuhkan karena dalam menyusun dan mewujudkan adanya gerakan literasi sekolah dibutuhkan inovasi-inovasi yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam menerapkan dan mengembangkan program terkait. Hasil penelitian ini juga menyoroti berbagai peran kunci guru dalam mempromosikan budaya literasi yang kuat. Adapun factor pendukung dan penghambat mengembangkan budaya literasi yakni dari pihak sekolah dan orang tua juga harus ikut andil dalam mendukung program-program yang telah dirancang, seperti memfasilitasi agar lingkungan sekolah menjadi lingkungan yang kondusif untuk mewujudkan gemar membaca, serta orang tua juga mendukung lingkungan di rumah agar selaras dengan program literasi yang ada di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan yang lebih mendalam dalam mempertimbangkan peran guru sebagai agen utama dalam mengembangkan budaya literasi yang kuat di Madrasah.

Abstract

Social media develops along with technological developments. Social media users are increasing day by day because social media provides lots of exciting content. One of them is educational content. The use of social media among students must be directed so that it has a positive impact. Fractions are abstract mathematical material. Students still have difficulty understanding the concept of fractions and comparing fractions even though they already understand the concept of whole numbers and comparing real numbers. This research aims to describe the use of social media in developing mathematics learning on fraction material at SDIT Insan Mulia Malang. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Interviews and documentation studies collected data. The results of the research show that the use of social media in developing mathematics learning on fraction material at SDIT Insan Mulia Malang is a means of displaying student work, as a source of inspiration for designing fraction learning media, as a source of inspiration for designing fun fraction learning, and as a means of sharing activities. Mathematics learning is carried out at SDIT Insan Mulia Malang

Abstract

The various kinds of obstacles occur in the learning process during the pandemic. One approach to solving learning problems is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this study is to describe the urgency of CAR to improve the quality of learning in the new normal. This research method is descriptive and qualitative. The research subjects were active elementary teachers in East Java. The data collection instrument in this study was a questionnaire distributed online. The results of the study showed that 100% of the participating teachers thought that CAR was important to implement. This is because they benefit from the implementation of CAR, namely improving the quality of learning. However, the implementation of CAR during the pandemic experienced various obstacles including limited internet connection and face-to-face time. This is a challenge for teachers to continue to carry out CAR with the blended learning method to overcome learning problems that occur during the new normal period.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki untuk menghadapi abad 21. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan instrumen tes literasi matematis berbasis etnomatematika budaya Jawa Timur untuk siswa SD/MI pada fase B. Adapun metode pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model ADDIE. Hasil uji validitas setiap butir soal menghasilkan nilai signifikansi soal nomer 1 yaitu 0,007<0,05, soal nomer 2 yaitu 0,005<0,05, soal nomer 3 yaitu 0,001<0,05, soal nomer 4 yaitu 0,002<0,05, dan soal nomer 5 yaitu 0,035<0,05. Lebih lanjut, uji reliabilitas menunjukan bahwa nilai cronbach alpha 0,684> 0,6. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan instrumen tes literasi matematis yang dikembangkan valid dan reliabel. Selain itu, uji tingkat kesukaran menunjukkan bahwa 3 soal dari instrumen yang dikembangkan berkategori sedang, 1 soal berkategori mudah, dan 1 soal berkategori sulit. Dengan kata lain, instrumen yang dikembangkan layak dan baik untuk digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SD/MI.

Abstract

Keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematis memungkinkan siswa untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan kritis dan kreatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana siswa SD/MI memecahkan masalah matematika dalam  materi bangun ruang berdasarkan Langkah Polya. Siswa kelas 6A MI Darut Tauhid Surabaya dijadikan sebagai sumber informasi dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif ini. Tes pemecahan masalah, wawancara, serta dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) persentase kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas 6A MI Darut Tauhid Surabaya berkategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 64%, berkategori sedang sebesar 28 %, dan berkategori rendah sebesar 8% (2) siswa berkemampuan tinggi dapat menjalankan 4 langkah pemecahan masalah Polya dengan sangat baik, yaitu memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan, melaksanakan rencana pemecahan, dan memeriksa kembali Sedangkan siswa berkemampuan sedang hanya mampu melalui 3 tahapan polya dan masih kurang teliti dalam memeriksa kembali, serta siswa yang berkemampuan rendah hanya mampu melaksanakan tahap memahami masalah dan kurang mampu menjalankan langkah-langkah polya berikutnya.

Abstract

The low mathematical problem-solving ability of elementary school students is a crucial issue in mathematics learning that has not been optimally addressed. Initial studies suggest that existing learning tools lack cultural context and integration of innovative learning models. Previous research has focused on partial or higher grade levels, leaving gaps in the development of comprehensive problem-based tools for early grade students with local contexts. This research aimed to create Problem-Based Learning (PBL) tools that incorporate ethnomathematics, with the goal of improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills effectively, practically, and authentically, by utilizing the ADDIE development framework. The research instruments used include learning tools, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and teacher activity observation sheets. The results demonstrated the validity, practicality, and efficacy of the developed products. The mean percentage of validation for learning module, student response questionnaires, and mathematical problem-solving ability tests was 88.5%, 90%, and 85%, respectively, in the valid category. The average practicality score of the learning tools, assessed through student feedback questionnaires and learning implementation observation forms, was found to be 83.85%, which falls within the practical category. Additionally, the results from the mathematical problem-solving assessments indicated that 80% of the students achieved scores exceeding the minimum competency requirements.
