Abstract

Cognitive ability is one of the substantial things in learning mathematics so that textbooks which act as the main source of learning should encourage the development of students' cognitive abilities and learning goals. The aim of this research is to describe the results of the cognitive level analysis of junior high school mathematics textbooks for class VII semester I based on the revised Bloom's Taxonomy and numeracy. The type of research used is descriptive research. Data was collected by recording and coding the contents of the book which focused on example questions, Let's Practice questions and Competency Test questions. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The results of the research show that there are several existing literature studies that the cognitive level analysis of competency test questions in mathematics books must be revised so that students can understand the mechanism of questions according to the reading material regarding the contents of the book. The questions contained in textbooks do not contain a good proportion between each cognitive level, and there are still few numeracy questions involving personal, social or scientific contexts.

Abstract

Mathematics education at the high school level has an important role in preparing students to continue their studies or enter the world of work. To improve its quality, the Indonesian government has made several curriculum changes, including the 2006 Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), the 2013 Curriculum, and the 2020 Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This research aims to analyze trends in mathematics education at the high school level based on curriculum changes from 2006 to 2024 , by identifying and analyzing changes in material aspects, learning approaches, and assessments, and evaluating their impact on the quality of high school mathematics education. Using the literature research method, data was obtained from journal articles, books, research reports, policy documents and other relevant literature which were analyzed qualitatively. The research results show a shift in focus in material, learning approaches, and assessment systems along with curriculum changes, where in general the mathematics learning outcomes of high school students have increased but there are still implementation challenges in the field. Curriculum changes also have an impact on improving students' skills in critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, communication, creativity, and the use of digital technology in mathematics learning. Despite the challenges, curriculum changes provide opportunities to improve the quality of mathematics education and develop 21st century skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa baik persepsi tentang Pendidikan karakter guru sekolah dasar di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di MIN 1 Deli Serdang. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Persepsi guru tentang pendidikan karakter MIN 1 Deli Serdang berada pada kategori “kurang sekali”.; (2) Persepsi guru tentang pendidikan karakter sekolah dasar Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa berdasarkan faktor knowing berada pada kategori “Kurang sekali": 6,67% (2 guru), kategori "Kurang": 30% (9 guru), kategori "Sedang": 20% (6 guru), "Baik": 36,7% (1 guru), kategori "Baik sekali": 6,67% (2 guru). Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata 70,37, persepsi tentang Pendidikan karakter berdasarkan faktor knowing masuk dalam kategori sedang; (3) Persepsi guru tentang pendidikan karakter sekolah dasar Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa berdasarkan faktor moral feeling/sikap berada pada kategori "Kurang sekali": 0% (0 guru), kategori "Kurang": 0% (0 guru), kategori "Sedang": 26,67% (8 guru), "Baik": 36,67% (11 guru), kategori "Baik sekali": 36,67% (11 guru). Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata 65,6, persepsi tentang Pendidikan karakter berdasarkan faktor feeling masuk dalam kategori sedang.
