Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the political engagement of novice voters in the 2024 Presidential Election at Rehobot Christian High School Palangka Raya.  The largest data on voters in the 2024 Presidential Election is Generation Z, which is around 74.93%. This study uses a simple survey method on Rehobot Christian High School Palangka Raya students. The location was chosen because Rehobot Christian High School is a new school, and most of its students live in boarding schools but rarely receive political socialisation from the government or other institutions. The questionnaire consists of three aspects, namely knowledge, attitudes and political behaviour in the 2024 presidential election. The study results show that the average knowledge aspect falls into the medium category with a percentage of 46%, which indicates a potential for improvement in students' political knowledge in the 2024 presidential election. Regarding the average attitude of students regarding Political Engagement, which is included in the medium category with a percentage of 62%, there is also room for improvement in cultivating and strengthening attitudes regarding the responsibility to be involved in the presidential election. Meanwhile, from the behavioural aspect, the average student behaviour is in a very low category with a percentage of 43%, indicating a need for improvement in how novice voters actively participate in organisations or communities engaged in election volunteers.

Abstract

This study compares the environmental awareness character of elementary school students in the Kahayan River Basin, Central Kalimantan Province, who live in rural and urban areas. It is a quantitative study using survey data collection methods. The survey was conducted on 60 students: 30 students from SDN Bukit Rawi 1, located in a rural area, and 30 students from SDN Percobaan Palangka Raya, in an urban area. The survey used a questionnaire containing 20 statements with five answer options, using a Likert scale. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The results showed that students living in rural areas of the Kahayan River Basin had better environmental awareness than those living in urban areas. The majority, 70 percent of rural students, demonstrated "Very Good" ecological awareness, while the majority, 73 percent, of urban students, showed "Good" environmental awareness (one level below "Very Good"). Furthermore, rural students had an average score of 90.59 (Very Good), compared to urban students with an average score of 84.30 (Good). The researchers suggest further studies on the factors influencing students' environmental awareness and the development of products/programs to enhance environmental awareness among students in the Kahayan River Basin.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to foster awareness of family education in Paring Lahung Village, Montallat Subdistrict, North Barito Regency, through a socio-spiritual-cultural spiral approach. This approach emphasises the synergy between social, spiritual, and local cultural values in building family self-awareness of the importance of higher education. The activity was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, involving 30 participants, comprising students and parents from SMAS PGRI Tumpung Laung. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and pre- and post-test questionnaires. The results showed an increase in students' motivation to pursue higher education (from 32% to 92%), as well as an increase in parental support for their children's education (from 80% to 92%). Participants also demonstrated a new understanding that education is not only an individual achievement but also a form of devotion to God and family. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the Spiral socio-spiritual-cultural approach as a model for family empowerment, grounded in local culture. This programme has the potential to be replicated in other rural areas with similar socio-cultural characteristics.

Abstract

Pada era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi digital, penerapan E-Government menjadi strategi penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini dengan tujuan menganalisis implementasi e-government, faktor pendukung, hambatan, serta dampaknya terhadap pelayanan administrasi kependudukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan teori Smart Governance Cohen (2013) dan pengembangan e-government menurut kajian Harvard JFK School of Government (Indrajit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Disdukcapil Kota Palangka Raya telah mengimplementasikan e-government melalui kebijakan berbasis transparansi, keterbukaan data, dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Penerapan ini memberikan manfaat nyata berupa peningkatan efektivitas layanan dan aksesibilitas bagi masyarakat. Namun demikian, keterbatasan infrastruktur sistem dan kapasitas teknologi masih menjadi kendala utama dalam optimalisasi pelayanan publik. Kesimpulannya, penerapan e-government di Disdukcapil Kota Palangka Raya telah mendorong transformasi pelayanan publik menuju tata kelola yang lebih efektif, transparan, dan akuntabel, meski membutuhkan penguatan infrastruktur serta peningkatan kapasitas aparatur.
