Abstract

Inappropriate care and education patterns for children with special needs can result in delaysand limitations in development, especially in children with ADHD (Attention DeficitHyperactivity Disorder). One of the causes is the lack of optimality in education,communication patterns and care between ADHD children and the people around them.Therefore, this research aims to explain how therapists at the Olan Development CenterSragen Child Development Clinic apply therapeutic communication to child patients who haveADHD to increase their concentration levels. The theory used is the theory of stages oftherapeutic communication by Stuart, G.W. This research uses a qualitative descriptivemethod. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, documentation methods.Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, anddrawing conclusions. The results of this research show that in the therapy process, therapistsalways use verbal and non-verbal communication. Verbal communication takes the form ofcommands and praise, while non-verbal communication takes the form of hugs. Next, there isa therapeutic communication process carried out by the therapist which consists of theintroduction, orientation, work and evaluation stages. In its implementation, lack of completefacilities and infrastructure, limited time and parents who are less cooperative are theobstacles experienced by therapists when carrying out this process.Keywords: ADHD, Therapeutic Communication, Therapist

Abstract

This research was motivated by the decline in sales experienced by Oto.com Solo Branch, so that the targets that had been determined could not be achieved optimally. After tracing the factors, the decline in sales was caused by the decline in the performance of the Oto.com Solo Branch Agent Relationship, which was triggered by miscommunication that occurred between the Branch Manager and the Solo Branch Agent Relationship Officer. As the highest authority in the Central Java area, the Area Manager has an obligation to resolve problems. Therefore, the right strategy is needed so that the problem can be resolved appropriately. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with interview and documentation data collection techniques. The research results show that the communication strategy implemented by the Area Manager is knowing the audience, compiling messages, determining and using media. Abstract

This study aims to examine communication strategies in increasing participant engagement in the "Seduluran Selawase Adventure" open trip for the Mount Lawu expedition. The research uses a qualitative approach with the SMCRE (Source, Message, Channel, Receiver, Effect) model as the analytical framework. The focus of the study lies in the role of the source and message delivered during the event, rather than in the context of initial marketing or promotion. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation of the communication interactions between the organizers and participants. The results of the study indicate that the implemented communication strategy successfully increased participant engagement significantly. A credible source and clear, informative, and relevant messages to the participants' needs proved to be key factors in maintaining their involvement throughout the expedition. The study recommends enhancing the quality of communication, particularly in terms of the source and message, to improve participants' experiences in future events.

Abstract

With social media, users can communicate and interact widely with known people as well aswith new people. Instagram is a social networking platform that allows users to shareinformation in the form of photos or videos with captions attached. One of the crimes on socialmedia is cyber sexual harassment. This research aims to find out the self-concept of cybersexual harassment victims and to understand how cyber sexual harassment victims are in theprocess of self-acceptance after experiencing trauma and how to develop a positive self-concept.This study uses a type of qualitative descriptive research with a phenomenological approach tostudents in Surakarta. Abstract

The issue of Jakarta's air pollution, highlighted in the 2024 Presidential Debate, has sparked both support and criticism in the public sphere, with various parties presenting opinions and critiques regarding the proposed solutions. As a social watchdog, the media is expected to be neutral. However, political affiliations and other interests often cause media to deviate from the principle of objectivity, thereby influencing public perception. This study aims to compare the framing strategies of Tvonenews.com and Metrotvnews.com in covering Anies Baswedan's responses to the air pollution issues in Jakarta during the First Presidential Debate of 2024. The research employs a qualitative method and the framing approach of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. The findings reveal that Tvonenews.com emphasizes Anies's sharp responses to criticisms from Prabowo Subianto, whereas Metrotvnews.com focuses on presenting policy explanations but does not delve deeply into the effectiveness of the policies or the broader context.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the use of the Instagram account @tfpkopiwarun as a medium for marketing communication information for TFP Kopi Warung Pasar Gede Solo. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, with the subject being the Instagram account @tfpkopiwarun. Informants for this study were selected using purposive sampling techniques, resulting in five informants, the account manager of @tfpkopiwarun, Meynar Intan. Three followers of @tfpkopiwarun, and one visitor to TFP Kopi Warung Pasar Gede Solo who is not a follower of @tfpkopiwarun. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively interactively through data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the Instagram account @tfpkopiwarun is effective in disseminating information that is both understandable and visually appealing. Posts made by the account are well received by followers, as evidenced by interactions such as likes, comments, and information sharing. The account manager consistently provides accurate and reliable information and posts with regular frequency. The attractiveness of the messages is enhanced through content selection, photography and editing, and informative caption writing.Keywords : Instagram, information media, marketing communication.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of information and communication technology has revolutionized the way humans communicate, interact and participate. Social media is one form of development of information and communication technology. Now social media is also utilized as a means of doing business. Instagram has become a popular platform for building audiences and promoting goods or services for businesses. Competition in the business world in utilizing Instagram as a communication medium is getting tighter, an understanding of communication and good communication planning is needed to be able to convey messages well and effectively. This research discusses the communication strategy carried out by Andcraft through Instagram media. The method used in this research with a qualitative approach, data collection with interviews, observation and documentation, and data validation used is miles and huberman interactive analysis. The results showed that Andcraft uses Instagram for planning to know the audience, create messages, determine methods and choose media. Utilizing Instagram as a communication medium is done by Andcraft by using photo and video features, comments, captions, hashtags, Instagram ads, and Instagram insight for social media maintenance of its account. However, in some cases Andcraft does not maximize some of the features that are a challenge for him. Keywords: Communication, Strategy Communication, Instagram, Instagram Utilization

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how PTPN Radio Solo implements communication strategies through the social media platform TikTok to reach a wider audience, particularly the younger generation. The phenomenon underlying this research is the shift in media consumption patterns, where many radio listeners have transitioned to digital platforms like TikTok for entertainment and information. In this study, the Communication Strategy theory is used to understand how communication planning can be effectively applied, while New Media Theory by Pierre Lévy explains how new media like TikTok enables more interactive communication. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through interviews with content creators, video editors, and PTPN Radio Solo’s audience. The findings indicate that the communication strategy implemented through TikTok, utilizing features such as For You Page (FYP), duet, stitch, and live streaming, successfully increased audience engagement and reintroduced PTPN Radio Solo to new listeners. In conclusion, the use of TikTok as part of a digital communication strategy has proven effective in enhancing interaction and strengthening PTPN Radio Solo’s position in the digital era, demonstrating how traditional broadcasting media can adapt to digital trends to remain relevant.
