Abstract

Education is one of the important human needs that cannot be separated in everyday life. Differences in individual understanding cannot be ignored at every level of human education. Therefore, teachers are required to design learning methods that are able to increase the effectiveness of the individual needs of learnersThe method used in designing this research is quasi experiment. the population in this study amounted to 36 students who were divided into two groups in one class at SMK Negeri 1 Nanggulan. The experimental design used is post test only control group design, which consists of a control class and an experimental class, each of which has a value. The average value on the understanding of the experimental class post-test results shows a value of 82.444 higher than the mean value of the control class. Nmax the experimental class showed 96.50 and Nmin of 72.50. Meanwhile, the Nmax of the control class showed 76.00 and Nmin of 64.00.  The Pvalue of homogeneity (Levene's) >0.05 is 0.081 which indicates that the data is normally distributed. Then the normality test Pvalue results are below <0.05 which is 0.040 (experimental), 0.019 (control) by comparing the significance level Pvalue <0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Peer teaching research proves that it is effective for improving student understanding in the subject of milling techniques of multilevel milling material.

Abstract

Kompetensi pada SMK merupakan hal yang menjadi penentu dalam menciptakan lulusan yang siap kerja. Salah satu dari kompetensi tersebut adalah bidang peternakan. Permasalahan yang sering timbul dalam peternakan adalah pengolahan limbah kotoran hewan atau limbah organik. Proses pengolahan limbah organik merupakan salah satu hal penting dalam mengatasi permasalahan penumpukan limbah di Indonesia. Limbah organik terdiri dari kotoran hewan, kulit buah, dan sejenisnya. Limbah organik harus dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dalam mendukung pemanfaatan sumber daya lingkungan. Salah satu cara efektif yang dilakukan untuk memanfaatkan limbah organik yaitu proses pencacahan dengan mesin. Mesin pencacah pupuk dari limbah organik yang terdapat di jurusan peternakan SMK Negeri 1 Nanggulan belum menghasilkan hasil yang efektif dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini yaitu Asset, Based, Community, and Development (ABCD). Pengabdian dilakukan dengan pendekatan IDMTE yang terdiri dari Identification, Design, Manufacture, Trial, dan Evaluation. Terdapat hasil uji coba terkait kapasitas dan efisiensi produksi pada mesin pada kotoran kambing 83,36% dan kulit kacang 61,42% . Pengabdian ini menunjukkan hasil survey bahwa 90,52% responden merasa puas terkait peningkatan kinerja mesin dan hasil cacahan.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara agraris memiliki lahan pertanian yang luas dengan luas mencapai 7,4 juta hektar. Sektor pertanian memegang peran penting sebagai prioritas dalam setiap tahap pembangunan, menyumbang sekitar 30% terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) dan mempekerjakan lebih dari 50% tenaga kerja. Sayuran merupakan produk dengan hasil tinggi yang mencapai produksi tahunan sebesar 14,80 juta ton terutama yang bersumber dari daerah pegunungan seperti Magelang, Boyolali, dan Wonosobo. Terdapat tantangan pada sifat sayuran yang mudah rusak, terutama sayuran hijau karena penanganan pasca panen yang kurang optimal dan penyimpanan yang tidak memadai. Oleh karena itu, penulis menawarkan sebuah gagasan yang berjudul Felerchine. Konsep ini merupakan sebuah mesin sayuran bertenaga surya portabel, mudah dibuat dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan studi literatur dari data dan informasi relevan. Diterapkannya alat ini sebagai solusi yang menjanjikan untuk memperpanjang umur sayuran selama distribusi.

Abstract

Writing skills are an essential ability that students must master, as they will be useful in participating in lecture activities. Writing can be a means of conveying ideas in a creative and innovative manner. The purpose of this activity is to improve the scientific writing skills of new students enrolled in 2025 at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Yogyakarta State University (FISIP UNY). This activity was conducted online via Zoom meeting using the lecturer and discussion methods. This activity was joined by more than 200 new undergraduate students from the faculty. This activity was organized by the Research Student Activity Unit “Screen” FISIP UNY. It was seen that the participants were enthusiastic and excited to take part in this activity. This activity was carried out successfully and received positive responses from the participants. This activity helps students to understand the rules of writing scientific papers and is able to fosters student interest and enthusiasm in bringing up creative and innovative ideas.

Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has emerged as a revolutionary technology in education, yet little is known about how GenAI can be specifically utilized to support teacher guidance and holistic student development, particularly in the context of vocational education. Evidence on how GenAI technology can enhance holistic student development in vocational schools, reduce administrative burdens, and support teacher guidance systems is explored in this systematic review. A synthesis of 45 peer-reviewed articles from the Scopus, Web of Science, and ERIC databases, published between 2020 and 2025 in accordance with PRISMA-ScR guidelines, was conducted. Five main thematic areas were identified through thematic analysis: (1) GenAI's function as a pedagogical assistant for individualized teacher support; (2) administrative automation that reduces teacher workload by thirty to forty percent; (3) natural language processing for qualitative analysis of student data; (4) comprehensive student development through career and character guidance; and (5) implementation challenges, including ethical issues, digital literacy gaps, and institutional readiness. These findings highlight GenAI's significant potential in addressing the teacher workload crisis, with approximately 40% of teachers' time spent on administrative tasks, while improving the quality of student guidance. However, its implementation still depends on resolving equity issues, developing robust institutional policies, and adopting human-centered pedagogical approaches. This review provides valuable insights for education practitioners, policymakers, and researchers seeking to implement sustainable AI-based guidance systems in vocational education. Recommendations include structured professional development programs, ethical frameworks for GenAI usage, and context-specific adaptation models for vocational schools, particularly in developing educational contexts.

Abstract

Individual differences in understanding are crucial in education, requiring teachers to tailor learning activities to meet students' needs. This study conducted as a quasi-experiment, involved 72 students from two classes (XI TM A and XI TM B) at SMK Negeri 1 Magelang during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research utilized a post-test only control group design to assess the effectiveness of peer tutoring. The experimental group had an average score of 96.90, while the control group averaged 94.29. The experimental group's scores ranged from 90.5 to 100 and the control group's scores ranged from 77.5 to 97. Statistical analysis using levene's test showed homogeneous data (Pvalue = 0.189 > α = 0.05). The t-test indicated a significant effect of peer tutoring on students' understanding of technical drawing (Tcount = 4.003 > Ttable = 2.000). The study concluded that peer tutoring significantly improves student performance in the manufacturing engineering drawing subject, recommending further research on its effectiveness in other subjects and educational levels.
