Abstract

The Young Catholics (OMK) are individuals born and raised within the Catholic tradition from adolescence to early adulthood. Young people often undergo critical identity and faith development during this phase. OMK currently faces challenges and changes in an increasingly complex and dynamic world. Globalisation, technology, and social changes influence their perspectives on their faith values. The objective of this service is to provide spiritual guidance to OMK, enabling them to understand better and embrace their faith. Activities are conducted through lectures and materials on the Catholic faith, interspersed with games, group dynamics, songs and movements, and practical worship practices. The method used in analysing the results of this CommunityService is qualitative. The outcomes obtained reveal that through the service conducted, OMK has gained additional knowledge and understanding of the values of the Catholic faith.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi Pendidikan Iman Katolik dalam Keluarga dengan Religiusitas Anak di Stasi Santo Paulus Cabang Kiri Paroki Santo Fidelis Sungai Ambawang. Latar belakang penulisan penelitian ini yakni pendidikan iman dianggap penting, akan tetapi religiusitas yang menjadi muara dalam pendidikan iman masih terabaikan dalam sebuah proses pendidikan dalam keluarga. Religiusitas menjadikan manusia bukan hanya beragama atau memiliki agama melainkan memiliki keagamaan yang hidup dan dihidupi. Religiusitas itu meliputi seberapa besar keyakinan terhadap agamanya, praktik-praktik keagamaannya, pengalaman keagamaannya, pengetahuan tentang agamanya dan konsekuensinya dalam memilih agama yang dianutnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan wawancara. Uji analisis data menggunakan analisis Sequential Explanatory. Adapun yang menjadi sasaran dalam penelitian ini yakni pendidikan iman Katolik dalam keluarga dan hubungannya dengan religiusitas anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan iman Katolik dalam keluarga dilaksakan dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pendidikan iman Katolik dalam keluarga dengan religiusitas anak di stasi Santo Paulus Cabang Kiri Paroki Santo Fidelis Sungai Ambawang

Abstract

This research aims to describe efforts to activate the congregation in participating in the Sunday Word celebration without a priest through pastoral care at St. Michael's Station in the Parish of Santa Maria Bunda Allah Nanga Mahap, Sanggau Diocese. The background of this research is that Sunday is a sacred day for God, where in the Word celebration when the Scriptures are read, God is present among His people. The presence of God in the Sunday Word celebration invites the congregation to be present and actively participate in achieving holiness. In reality, many Catholic faithful are less active in the Word celebration. This is evident among the Catholic community at St. Michael's Station in the Parish of Santa Maria Bunda Allah. The congregation in St. Michael's Station is often less active in participating in the Sunday Word celebration. Based on this situation, the researcher feels the need for pastoral guidance for the congregation. Pastoral care is an effort to build or nurture the faith community. Pastoral guidance is carried out to help the congregation understand their calling as the people of God. This research uses the action research method. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews. The collected data is then reduced, analyzed, and tested for validity through source triangulation. The results of the research show that the attendance of the congregation in the Sunday Word celebration without a priest at St. Michael's Station in the Parish of Santa Maria Bunda Allah is still limited. The factors causing the congregation to be less active in participating in the Sunday Word celebration without a priest are the lack of awareness of the congregation in living a church-centered life, the lack of appreciation for the Word celebration among the congregation, and the lack of faith formation

Abstract

The Eucharist as the source and pinnacle of the liturgy involves all people participating in Christ's sacrifice. It is hoped that the participation of all people in the Sacrament of the Eucharist will enable people to appreciate the meaning of unity, the meaning of sacrifice, and the meaning of preaching in the sacrament of the Eucharist. Understanding the meaning of the Eucharist directs people to realize it in the Catholic family. This is because all activities carried out in family life flow from the Eucharist and always draw strength from the Eucharist. However, the application of the meaning of the Sacrament of the Eucharist in Catholic families has begun to become less visible within the family. This research uses qualitative research methods using observation, interview and documentation analysis techniques. Observations are carried out by observing events and behavior that are needed to support the research being carried out. The interview technique is carried out by asking questions to the informant, to obtain the information needed according to the research. Also documentation as supporting evidence for research results. The research results show that the implementation of the meaning of the unity of the sacrament of the Eucharist in the Catholic family is carried out through joint prayer, personal prayer, eating together, gathering with the family, and the unity of husband and wife participating in church activities.

Abstract

understanding, increasing engagement, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills, addressing student diversity, and improving knowledge retention and transfer. The use of good strategies creates a positive and meaningful learning experience for students. Hence, this research aims to explore how Catholic religious teachers in SD N 040515 Tigajumpa enhance the learning interest of fifth-grade students. The research methodology employed is qualitative. The study took place at SD N 040515 Tigajumpa, involving 15 students selected through snowball sampling. Observations and interviews were conducted during the teaching and learning process. The findings indicate that the fifth-grade students at SD N 040515 Tigajumpa display a positive learning interest in Catholic religious education. They actively engage with the teacher by asking questions and paying close attention. The teacher utilizes a Lesson Plan and addresses the variations in students' characteristics. Additionally, the teacher involves proficient students to assist their peers who may struggle. Social interaction is fostered through group discussions in the classroom. The teacher also demonstrates thorough instructional preparation. Overall, the students are physically and mentally prepared to participate in the learning process

Abstract

This research was conducted to find how using the Experiential Narrative model can increase the learning motivation of SMAK 2 Kabanjahe. This study uses a qualitative method. The qualitative method was chosen because it can explore a problem in – depth and can explain in detail explain in detail, from identifying a problem to explaining the solution. In This study used several techniques to collect the data, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subject were 1 tutor, 1 school principal, and 10 social studies class X students. The study result show that: 1) Catholic Religious Education teachers' steps for using the experiential narrative model are reasonable. This can be seen from the teacher's ability to carry out the stages of the experiential narrative model before learning takes place. 2) The use of the experiential narrative model in learning has increased students' learning motivation. This can be seen from the positive response from students when the teacher teaches and the excellent good interaction between the teacher and students.

Abstract

This research aims determine how the use of audiovisual media can enhance the student’s interest in learning in Grade 10 Social Sciences in Catholic Religious Education at St. Antonius Bangun Mulia High School, Medan. This research adopts a qualitative method. The qualitative method is chosen because it allows for an in-depth exploration of a problem and provides detailed explanations regarding the identified problem and its solutions. The data collection techniques employed in this research include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include one mentor teacher, one peer teacher, and ten students from Grade 10 Social Sciences. The research findings indicate that: 1) The steps of utilizing audiovisual media employed by the Catholic Religious Education teacher are practical. This can be observed from the teacher's competence in carrying out the three pre-learning stages:preparation,planning, and follow-up. 2) using audiovisual media in the classroom has  increased students' interest in learning. This is evidenced by the positive response from the students during teaching sessions and the positive interaction between the teacher and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the project of Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5), the role of teachers in improving P5, and the characters developed in P5 implemented by PPG-STPKat students of St. Francis Asisi Semarang. The mixed method research design was used. The probability sampling technique was used to select 14 schools for the research population. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaires assessing the implementation of the P5 project and the role of teachers and analyzed using ANOVA Linearity, Linear Regression, and the F Test. Interviews were used to collect qualitative data, which was then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the simultaneous implementation of the P5 project and the role of the teacher had a high effect on student character building (99.1%). The linearity test revealed a linear relationship between P5 project implementation and learner character, with a significance value (p) of 0.000 0.05. P5 has been implemented in elementary schools, and teachers serve as role models, motivators, inspirers, and evaluators, according to qualitative findings. Students' Pancasila character profile depicts a character of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character. Positive aspects of mutual cooperation included improved collaboration skills and various aspects of mutual cooperation. This study's recommendations include increasing the number of meeting hours, involving a team of facilitators, and ensuring school readiness. Students must be encouraged to participate actively in the P5 project and to develop the Pancasila learner profile attitude.
