Abstract

The activity aimed to help school to determine whether the schoolfurniture which were provided to the students match with theirdimensions. The evaluation focused on students from Grade 1-3. Byusing ergonomics criteria and students’ anthropometry, the chair anddesk were evaluated. Results showed that most students’ did not matchwith the chair available to them. The height of chair were too high forthe majority of students with percentage are ranging from 12.5% (Boysin Grade 3) to 87.5% (Girls in Grade 1). Meanwhile, the height of deskwas not appropriate for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 3 (100%percentage). Findings from this activity suggested that the schoolauthority should evaluate the used of their school furniture.

Abstract

The Student Senate of the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University is one of the organizations affected by the pandemic, so they carry out semi-manual work processes, meaning that most of the processes are already using digital systems. Activities that are not integrated raises new problems such as non-recorded transactions, inaccurate financial report calculation results, and the length of time needed for treasurers to manage financial administration. Because of these constraints, research was conducted on the design and construction of the SMFT UAJ information system related to the financial administration process. In the process of designing the SMFT UAJ financial administration information system, the System Development Life Cycle Waterfall method was used as a reference for making the system with the help of the Kodular tool in building the entire system using the block coding system and the google sheet database. System testing is carried out in 2 stages, namely system testing and acceptance testing on 4 aspects (learnability, efficiency, memorability, and satisfaction). The test results show that this system is feasible for use by SMFT UAJ with the result of reducing processing time for learnability and memorability tests. The resulting efficiency test was 0.0143/second, and the SUS value was 92.5. Keywords: Financial Information System, Kodular, SMFT UAJ

Abstract

The development of technology and the COVID-19 pandemic have changed the consumption trends of society. The culinary industry has been affected, but can survive by going online. The Pempek Fenny culinary industry still uses a manual system. This study builds a pempek order information system to improve the information system with various features and measure user satisfaction. The research method uses a mixed method with an action research approach. The population is theculinary industry owner and 6 of its customers purposively. The procedures carried out are problem identification, literature study collection, data collection, system testing, and system evaluation. This finding resulted in efficiency because some activities that were previously done manually can be done automatically by the system with a satisfaction of 3.7. The contribution achieved improves the performance of the culinary industry, the latest features of application development and ordering are more efficient and accurate

Abstract

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Indonesia's Science and Technology Index (SINTA) offers both significant opportunities and challenges for advancing research management, evaluation, and development. This paper examines the advantages of embedding AI into SINTA, such as the ability to automate the identification of predatory journals, provide personalized research recommendations, and enhance the accuracy of institutional rankings. Furthermore, AI can help analyze citation trends, streamline the peer review process, and detect plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct. However, this integration also brings several obstacles, including the need to ensure high-quality data, uphold transparency and fairness in AI-driven outcomes, protect data privacy, and address the substantial technological investments required. While AI holds the potential to greatly strengthen SINTA as a platform for overseeing and supporting research activities in Indonesia, overcoming these challenges is critical for its effective implementation. The study concludes that, with proper oversight and investment, integrating AI into SINTA could significantly boost the country's research ecosystem, fostering greater innovation and scientific productivity.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya generasi muda mengenai pentingnya menjaga rekam jejak digital sebagai bagian dari pengembangan karir masa depan. Melalui seminar berjudul "Waspada Rekam Jejak Digital untuk Karir Masa Depan," pemahaman diberikan tentang bagaimana data yang tertinggal di dunia digital, khususnya di media sosial, dapat memengaruhi peluang karir seseorang. Situasi saat ini menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 80% perekrut melakukan verifikasi latar belakang melalui jejak digital calon karyawan, yang dapat berdampak positif atau negatif terhadap peluang kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi penyampaian informasi, studi kasus, dan tips praktis dalam menjaga rekam jejak digital, termasuk berpikir sebelum memposting, menjaga privasi, dan membangun personal branding yang positif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai pentingnya mengelola rekam jejak digital secara bijaksana untuk meningkatkan daya saing mereka di dunia kerja. Diharapkan, dengan kesadaran yang meningkat, peserta dapat lebih bijak dalam berinteraksi di dunia digital sehingga peluang karir mereka semakin baik dan tidak terhambat.

Abstract

The use of the internet has become an integral part of modern life. However, various threats, such as the dissemination of personal data, phishing attacks, hoaxes, and illegal content, pose risks to user security. Therefore, it is crucial to educate the public about the principles of Safe and Healthy Internet Usage (INSAN). This initiative aims to raise awareness and understanding within the community regarding the importance of responsible internet use and compliance with applicable regulations. The initiative employs interactive presentations and simulations of best practices in internet use. Educational activities engage various stakeholders, including students, teachers, and the general public, to foster a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity. Results indicate increased participant awareness of internet threats like hoaxes and phishing, and the adoption of preventive measures, such as installing antivirus software, verifying news sources, and limiting the sharing of personal information online. In conclusion, this initiative successfully enhanced digital literacy within the community and provided practical guidance for creating a safer digital environment.

Abstract

The rise of online fraud has become a pressing issue in today's digital society, affecting individuals and communities across various sectors. This community service initiative aims to increase public awareness and equip participants with effective strategies to avoid falling victim to online scams. The program specifically focuses on addressing common fraud types such as phishing, identity theft, and fraudulent e-commerce activities. The implementation method involved conducting an interactive online training session, leveraging digital platforms to reach a broader audience efficiently. The training included presentations, case studies, and simulations to help participants recognize potential threats and adopt preventive measures. Topics covered ranged from identifying warning signs of fraud, securing personal data, to utilizing cybersecurity tools such as multi-factor authentication and safe browsing practices. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' understanding of online fraud risks and their ability to apply preventive strategies in real-life scenarios. Post-training surveys indicated increased confidence in identifying and avoiding online scams, as well as a commitment to sharing the knowledge with their communities. This initiative highlights the importance of education and technology in combating online fraud and serves as a replicable model for fostering digital safety awareness in diverse communities. The outcomes contribute to creating a more informed and secure digital environment.

Abstract

The development of information technology has impacted current business behavior, affecting both users (customers) and business owners. Everyone is competing to maximize the use of information technology, whether to facilitate transactions or to improve business management efficiency. This situation is also experienced by CV. Florence Collection, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operating in the garment industry, which faces several challenges in managing its business using a manual system. For instance, customer and transaction records are managed using Microsoft Excel, resulting in manually generated reports that are prone to recording errors. Additionally, customers have limited access to information during the ordering process, and payment verification by the business owner is not efficient. Based on these challenges, this study proposes the design of a web-based system for managing the operations of CV. Florence Collection. The system design follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, consisting of four stages: planning, analysis, design, and implementation, using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. The proposed system is tested using the blackbox testing method. The designed information system can be implemented by incurring implementation costs, such as hosting, domain, maintenance, and development expenses.

Abstract

The practice of online gambling in Indonesia is increasingly alarming due to its ease of access and massive dissemination through various digital platforms. This practice poses detrimental social and economic impacts, such as financial problems, family breakdown, and psychological disorders, and presents regulatory challenges in its eradication. This community service activity employed socialization and interactive discussion methods involving the community and legislators, aiming to raise awareness about the risks of online gambling and provide information on how to address potential dependence or addiction. Furthermore, this activity presented current data regarding the efforts of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in cutting off access to online gambling sites. The results of the activity indicated that participants gained a better understanding of the types and risks of online gambling and the necessary steps to take if trapped, as measured by a 70% increase in post-test scores. In conclusion, close collaboration between the community and the government plays a crucial role in combating the growing prevalence of online gambling in Indonesia.

Abstract

The evolution of the digital era has brought fundamental changes to personal data protection governance, making this a crucial issue in modern society. This activity aimed to increase public awareness about digital security, highlight common data theft methods, and provide practical tips for protecting personal data. The methodology included a literature review of personal data protection regulations, including the Indonesian Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 Tahun 2022), and an analysis of the role of digital media in raising awareness and providing privacy setting tools. The research findings were then disseminated through a national webinar. The results of this activity showed that public awareness of the role of digital media in personal data protection increased by 75%. This study concludes that the effective use of digital media is essential for educating the public and preventing data breaches, making it a vital tool in modern cybersecurity efforts.
