Abstract

Jalan Soekarno-Hatta is located in East Binjai District, Binjai City. Along this road, there is always quite high flooding when it rains. Flood events are usually caused by the intensity of rainfall and less than optimal drainage performance, where drainage should be a system whose function is to channel and circulate air that comes from rain, or seepage experiences damage and sedimentation so that it cannot function optimally. In order to minimize flooding on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, it is necessary to evaluate drainage performance by reviewing existing conditions, taking into account rainfall intensity values and planned discharge to determine optimal capacity for more optimal drainage performance in collecting, channeling and channeling rainwater. This was done using an evaluative descriptive method with the length, width and depth of the drainage observed at 1630 m, 110 m and 1.27 m. The results were that the selected rainfall intensity value (period 5; year, 2027) was 125.866 mm/hour, concentration time (tc) 184.67 hours, drainage coefficient 0.925 resulting in planned discharge>drainage discharge (Qr>Qs) namely 278102.6 m3/ sec > 31478.6 m3/sec. These results indicate that Soekarno-Hatta's drainage capacity is unable to accommodate large (planned) discharges, resulting in flooding. Solutions that can be applied are reducing sedimentation, increasing the dimensions of the drainage itself or forming biopores.

Abstract

Children's spatial space is an interaction space for playing and learning which can influence children's knowledge, social and emotional development. Aspects that must be considered in designing children's spatial spaces are safety, flexibility, sensory stimulus, social connectedness, accessibility and learning. In playing, children are free to move to develop their creativity and imagination in developing their knowledge. Children can get to know their space through exploration, interaction and direct experience with the process of recognizing shapes, colors and textures. Children's perceptions of space can shape their patterns and behavior in recognizing space through the process of seeing, observing and exploring space with their imagination and knowledge. The problem that can be developed is how children can recognize their space through the process of recognizing shapes, colors and textures. The goal to be achieved is the formation of children's spatial space through the application of learning room design oriented to shape, color and texture with play and learning methods. Observations were made on children's play activities in utilizing space and then analyzed to determine the space patterns that children needed. Observation results show that children can recognize space by recognizing the shapes, colors and textures found in space. Children's ability to recognize shapes, colors and textures can improve children's imagination and motor skills, literacy skills and emotional control.

Abstract

The purpose of the parking arrangement is: a) to determine the parking system on the Jalan Pemuda Medan City section; b) to organize and simulate parking in the business area of Jalan Pemuda, Medan City. The results are as follows: a) The existing Static Capacity is 41 SRP on the left side and the right side is 62 SRP; b) Section A parking duration is 1.28 hours and 1 hour. Section B is 1.85 hours and 1.14 hours; c) The dynamic capacity of Section A is 144 SRP and 247 SRP. Section B is 137 SRP and 238 SRP; d) The parking volume on Jalan Pemuda section A is 27 and 36 passenger cars. Section B as many as 37 and 39 passenger cars; e) Section A parking index is 71.42% and 58.33%, in Section B is 95% and 73.53%; f) Turn Over in section A is 1.3 vehicles/space and 1 vehicle/space, in section B it is 1.85 vehicles/space and 1.14 vehicles/space; g) Optimizing the parking length from 205 meters to 210 meters. The parking arrangement on Jalan Pemuda has 4 alternatives, namely 1) the shape of the parking angle remains but the parking length increases from 205 meters to 210 meters; 2) change the existing parking angle of 00 in the left lane and 450 in the right lane to 450 for the right and left lanes; 3) both right sides change with the shape of the parking angle to 600; 4) change the parking angle to 300 so that it can increase static capacity.
