Abstract

Playing is an activity carried out from the children in an early age and by playing activity children gain an experience and learning. In playing activity children would feel joy, pleasure, and heerfulness, so that it could develop cognitive abilities, social cultural abilities, physical abilities, motor skills, emotional abilities and abilities intellectual. Every child has the right to space for play activities that can support development and growth before adulthood. Based on this it is necessary early childhood playroom design that can accommodate play and learning activities. The design of the formed space consists of inner and outer spaces. Spatial design is reviewed based on consideration of the shape of the room, color and texture, and movement of children. With the existence of a child's playroom, a child can develop creativity, skills and knowledge through movement, imagination and expressions based on children's behavior, so that the child's growth and development can take place well. This is done as strategy in the development of children's character.

Abstract

This study aims to implement an integrated learning model in an effort to improve student learning outcomes. Another research objective is to determine the impact of the implementation of the integration learning model on student creativity. The research method used is quasi-experimental. Collecting data through a questionnaire to capture the impact of learning and the impact of the implementation of the integration model accompaniment. To see the learning outcomes used tests. To see the condition of higher learning outcomes used t test. The results showed that student learning outcomes using the integration learning model were higher when compared to student learning outcomes using the expository learning model which included conducting experiments in the workshop. The impact of the implementation of the integration learning model is that there is an increase in learning outcomes, besides the accompanying impact is the growth of creativity, selfdetermination, and student motivation in producing innovative products based on the specifications of the study program they choose.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi dan membimbing mahasiswa untuk belajar mandiri, memudahkan mahasiswa untuk menemukan dan memahami konsep dengan benar sebagai latar belakang penelitian ini. Buku-buku teks belum dapat membantu mahasiswa memahami dan mengingat konsep-konsep matematika dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa berbasis penemuan terbimbing (guided discovery learning) pada materi matriks dikembangkan. Setelah LKM dikembangkan maka dilihat efektifitas penggunaan LKM tersebut pada proses perkuliahan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan teknik bangunan universitas negeri medan yang mengampu matakuliah matematika teknik dasar. Berdasarkan analisis diperoleh bahwa persentase posttest lebih besar dari persentase pretest ( 66,67 > 30, 95% ) dan berada pada kriteria Baik. Ini berarti bahwa bahan ajar (LKM) berbasis penemuan terbimbing (guided discovery learning dinyatakan efektif untuk digunakan.Kata Kunci: Efektifitas, Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa, Penemuan TerbimbingABSTRACT The need for teaching materials that are able to facilitate and guide students for independent learning makes it easier for students to find and understand concepts correctly as the background of this research. Text books have not been able to help students understand and remember mathematical concepts well. Therefore, a concept of “Student Work Sheet” (SWS) based on guided discovery learning on matrix material was developed. After the SWS has been developed, it has shown the effectiveness of the use of the SWS in the learning process. The subjects of this study were students of Building Engineering Education Study Program at the State University of Medan that were able to study basic engineering mathematics courses. Based on the analysis it was found that the percentage of post-test was greater than the percentage of pretest (66.67% > 30.95%) and was filed in the Good criteria. This means that SWS based on guided discovery learning is declared effective for use.Keywords: Effectiveness, Guided Discovery Learning, Student Worksheet

Abstract

Kabupaten Nias Barat adalah Kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, saat ini Kabupaten Nias Barat menggunakan Perda No. 12 Tahun 2014 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kabupaten Nias Barat sebagai peraturan daerah yang mengatur tata ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Perkembangan dan pertumbuhan wilayah yang terjadi dengan sangat pesat menyebabkan perubahan pola ruang dan stuktur ruang, berdasarkan perubahan-perubahan tersebut maka RTRW harus di revisi kembali sehingga dapat digunakan dan sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Tujuan dari tulisan ini antara lain melakukan kajian kesesuaian kondisi pemanfaatan ruang dengan Perda RTRW Kabupaten Nias Barat No. 12 Tahun 2014, melakukan kajian terhadap perubahan batas wilayah yang mempengaruhi perubahan rencana tata ruang dan pola pemanfaatan ruang, selain itu melakukan kajian konsep rencana tata ruang yang dapat mengakomodir kondisi pemanfaatan ruang sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku sehingga dapat di gunakan dalam instrumen penataan ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perubahan batas wilayah dan perubahan penggunaan lahan mempengaruhi perencanaan tata ruang di Kabupaten Nias Barat. Diharapkan pemerintah daerah lebih aktif di dalam melakukan pengedalian pemanfaatan ruang sehingga dapat mengurangi pelanggaran pemanfaatan ruang di wilayah Kabupaten Nias Barat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTJalan Saudara which is located in Medan Kota Subdistrict the city of Medan with the boundary between the Jalan SM Raja intersection and the Jalan Bahagia intersection with a length of 743 m is very prone to flooding, especially during the rainy season. The dimensions of the drainage channels are small and vary between open and closed channels. Drainage problems on your road a) The area of the inundation area is 1000 meters, b) The width of the inundation area is 6 m, c) The inundation height is 20 cm, d) Inundation duration is 15 minutes, e) Inundation frequency is every heavy rain and f) The causes of flooding are due to the dimensions of the canal small and there is a blockage of several damaged culverts. The aim of the research is to design the dimensions of the drainage channels along Jalan Saudara so that they can accommodate all water waste activities and are expected to overcome flooding in the area. The methodology is carried out by analyzing hydraulics and hydrological analysis to determine the calculation of maximum rainfall, rainfall intensity, time of concentration and discharge of runoff, flow velocity in drainage channels, design of channel discharge, and design of channels. The calculation results obtained a) The intensity of maximum rainfall with the analysis of various methods, it was found that the Log Pearson III method was the best used. This was done by statistical tests with chi-square and with Smirnov-Kolmogorov, b) The detailed design of the drainage using precast concrete in the form of a closed U-Ditch with dimensions of 120 cm x 100 cm with a height varying between 120 cm and 160 cm. c) At a certain point, drainage using Box culverts with dimensions of 150 cm x 100 cm with a height of 150 cm.Kewords: Saudara Street, Drainage, Technical Planning

Abstract

Pengenalan kebersihan harus ditanamkan pada anak sejak usia dini. Proses pengenalan dan pemahaman akan arti kebersihan diri dan lingkungan memerlukan sarana atau media, sehingga anak dengan cepat dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikannya. Salah satu media yang dapat diperkenalkan kepada anak dalam proses pembelajaran sanitasi adalah wastafel inovatif. Peran dan fungsi wastafel ini sebagai tempat untuk mencuci tangan untuk anak. Tujuan yang akan dicapai adalah anak dapat mencuci tangan dengan baik dan benar. Setiap anak harus dapat melakukan kegiatan cuci tangan dengan sabun setelah anak melakukan kegiatan bermain untuk menghindari penyebaran penyakit. Bentuk wastafel inovatif didesain menarik dengan memperhatikan profil dan karakter anak. Bentuk dan warna merupakan hal yang dapat dieksplorasi sehingga anak tertarik untuk melakukan proses sanitasi pada dirinya. Penerapan konsep pembelajaran sanitasi dilakukan di sekolah PAUD-RA Bunda Asih. Pemilihan sekolah berdasarkan pada belum tersedianya media untuk mencuci tangan dalam bentuk wastafel, sehingga anak mengabaikan kebersihan diri karena terlepas dari pengawasan para guru. Kondisi ini menjadi kendala bagi guru untuk mengenalkan sanitasi hidup sehat secara baik dan benar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan pengembangan desain sanitasi yang menarik kreatif dan inovasi yang merangsang kreatifitas dan kebiasaan anak untuk selalu menjaga kebersihan diri dan membiasakan mencuci tangan untuk kebersihan dirinya.

Abstract

The RA Kartini Museum in Rembang plays a crucial role role as the caretaker of arts collections and historical artifacts. This study emphasizes the importance of the presence of Fire Extinguishers in ensuring the security of themuseum. The strategic placement of fire extinguisher points, considering accessibility and visibility, is the focal point for enhancing response and safety. Evaluation of the existing fire extinguisher layouts fixed to ensure compliance with safety standards. The Kartini Museum, located within the Rembang Regency, operates as the residence of the regent and has now become a Cultural Heritage site. The museum's collection fixed to RA Kartini, with exhibition spaces encompassing various types of collections. This research employs the Space Syntax method to analyze spatial connectivity and visual integration. The analysis results indicate that the placement of fire extinguishers in some rooms already exceeds safety standards. However, the presence of fire extinguishers needs to be reinforced with clear and easily locatable signage. Some fire extinguishers are obstructed by shelves or columns, and their placement requires review to ensure efficient accessibility. In conclusion, this study provides a foundation for strategic changes in the placement of fire extinguishers in the Kartini Museum. Recommendations include improved signage, a reevaluation of placement, and enhancements to accessibility. These measures will enhance safety and response to the potential threat of fire, preserving invaluable cultural heritage.

Abstract

Traditional classroom settings often present significant challenges for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in terms of communication. Specialized classrooms designed for children with ASD, such as those based on the Autism Design Index (ASPECTSS), incorporate specific principles and approaches including navigation patterns, lighting, and color. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of classroom designs based on the ASPECTSS in improving communication skills and academic achievement of students with ASD. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this study compared the responses of students with ASD in two different classroom conditions. The results indicated that students with ASD responded more positively to classrooms designed based on the Autism Design Index ASPECTSS, as evidenced by increased verbal communication frequency, attention span, and academic performance. These findings suggest that physical classroom design tailored to the sensory and cognitive needs of students with ASD can serve as an effective intervention to support their learning. This study recommends that schools adopt ASPECTSS principles when designing inclusive classrooms to create optimal learning environments for all students.

Abstract

The Harun Keuchik Leumik Mosque, popularly known as the Golden Mosque of Aceh, is a stunning architectural masterpiece that harmoniously blends art, mathematics, and Islamic architecture. Located in Gampong Lamseupeung, Lueng Bata, Banda Aceh, the mosque is a popular destination for both domestic and international visitors. This research aims to delve into the symbolic meaning and aesthetic value embedded in the facade ornaments of the mosque, particularly in relation to the concept of ethnomathematics. Through a qualitative approach, this study describes how mathematical concepts such as geometry, symmetry, and proportion are manifested in the ornaments and structure of the building. Data was collected through interviews, literature review, and direct observation at the research site. The findings reveal a strong correlation between mathematical concepts and the architecture of the Harun Keuchik Leumik Mosque. Various geometric shapes, such as triangles, circles, and cubes, were found to not only serve a structural function but also carry symbolic meanings and aesthetic values that reflect local culture and the fusion of Middle Eastern culture. These findings have significant implications for education, especially in the fields of architecture and mathematics.

Abstract

Kecelakaan merupakan masalah utama yang dijumpai pada penggunaan jalan raya. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik, diketahui sejak tahun 2017 hingga 2019 terjadi peningkatan jumlah kecelakaan di Indonesia. Faktor utama penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan adalah adanya titik rawan kecelakaan atau black spot yaitu lokasi-lokasi dimana sering terjadi pengendara mengalami kecelakaan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan identifikasi titik-titik rawan yang terdapat di jalan raya berdasarkan tipe jalan, tipe simpang, orpit jembatan, alinemen horizontal, alinemen vertikal dan potensi bahaya. Berdasarkan pemeringkatan tersebut akan diterapkan tipe penanganan yang sesuai. Agar tingkat kecelakaan dapat ditekan atau dikurangi, maka perlu diterapkan tipe penangan yang tepat sehingga dapat meminimalisir potensi kecelakaan pada tipe lokasi yang memiliki potensi titik-titik rawan kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara tipe jalan Analisis hubungan antara tipe lokasi dan tipe penanganan tersebut dilakukan berdasarkan analisis Cross Tabs dengan Contigency Coefficient. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengna Cross Tabs dengan Cotigency Coeficient yang telah dilakukan, terlihat bahwa terdapat hubungan antara penanganan marka 0,024 dengan added value 0,152, penanganan road stud 0,010 dengan added value 0,169, penanganan guardrail 0,0001 dengan added value 0,244. Terdapat hubungan antara tipe jalan dengan tipe penanganan guardrail 0,045 dengan added value 0,138. Terdapat hubungan antara oprit jembatan dengan tipe penanganan geometri 0.0001 dengan added value 0,181. Terdapat hubungan antara alinemen horizontal dengan tipe penanganan marka 0.009 dengan added value 0,145 dan tipe penanganan road stud 0,0001 dengan added value 0.238. Terdapat hubungan antara jumlah hazard tipikal dengan tipe pengananan road stud sebesar 0.016 dengan added value 0.190. Sedangkan untuk alinemen vertikal dengan tipe penanganan. Berdasarkan hasil kesimpulan ini ditemukan bahwa hasil hubungan antara tipe jalan dengan tipe penanganan namun tingkat hubungannya masih rendah.Keyword: Titik rawan kecelakaan, tipe jalan, cross tabs, contigency coefficient, tipe penanganan
