Abstract

Abstract

Student feedback for lecturer plays an important role, it used to improve the quality of lecturer in teaching. In general, student feedback consists of two types, quantitative feedback and qualitative feedback. For quantitative feedback, it can easily analyze using statistical calculations, because it contains closed questions with multiple choices. But for qualitative feedback, it is difficult to analyze, because it contains open questions with essay answers. Lecturers can analyze manually, but it takes extensive times and the results can be very subjective. To overcome this problem, sentiment analysis is applied to analyze textual data automatically in order to improve teaching evaluations. This research uses student feedback as dataset, and lexicon approach with InSet Lexicon. In this research, the evaluation result shows that system accuracy is 90.9%.

Abstract

Abstract

Instagram is a popular social media platform where users can share photos and videos, and also post comments on other users postings. Although there are many benefits on sharing information and posting comments, the freedom of using a social media platform also has a negative effect. One of non-constructive actions performed by social media users is cyberbullying, a misuse of technology through social media to embarrass or threaten others. Cyberbullying could affect the social media users, especially the target victim, hence we have to build a system that can limit the negative posts. In this research, we tackle the cyberbullying detection on Instagram comments as a classification problem and employ the SVM classifier. As a supervised machine learning approach, the SVM method has limitation on processing new words that never found in the training data. Therefore, we employed a semantic information derived from pre-trained word embeddings to gather similar words that appear in the training data to substitute the unknown words in the testing data. The experimental results show that the use of semantic similarity information improve the classification accuracy by 7%, from 67% to 74%.

Abstract

The rapid developments in technology make the information spread faster, especially in the electronic sports industry (eSports). Game tournament information is essential to gamers since they strive to obtain accurate and easy-to-understand information about esports. The GGWP Tourney application is a mobile application that provides information and means to purchase e-sports competitions online. However, the GGWP Tourney application is still in the development stage so there are still many user experience problems, especially in the usability and journey of the application. Therefore, analysis and evaluation of the usability of the GGWP Tourney application are carried out so that it is in accordance with what users expect. In this study, usability evaluation was carried out using Heuristic Evaluation as a method of evaluating usability values and designing solutions using the Human Centered Design (HCD) method according to user perceptions based on the results of the evaluation carried out. The evaluation has been carried out in two stages, namely the initial stage and the stage after designing the solution design. The results of the initial evaluation found 12 problems and the severity rating value had an average greater than 2 so improvements were made to the application user interface. While the second evaluation stage in the solution design shows the number of problems found only 3 and the severity rating value is less than 2 so that no further repairs are carried out. Based on these results, the heuristic evaluation method can reduce the number of problems in the GGWP Tourney application from 13 problems to 3 remaining problems. This methods be used to determine the usability value of an application that can be used to improve the user experience of the application.

Abstract

Students can have various characteristics and learning patterns. By understanding the characteristics and learning pattern of individual students, teachers can provide individualized learning strategies based on students' needs. Students' learning patterns may experience changes depending on their conditions during the learning process. If the learning pattern analysis is only run once, then the progress and changes in student learning patterns throughout the learning process cannot be recognized. On the other hand, periodical analysis is expected to describe the dynamics of student learning patterns from time to time. This research is intended for capturing students' dynamic learning pattern using Hierarchical Clustering. We clustered the learning patterns based on Learning Management Systems (LMS) activity logs. The activity log data were partitioned into several periodical datasets. The results of the periodic clustering indicated that students’ learning patterns varied from one another and changed from time to time. Most students experienced change in learning patterns throughout the semester. The analysis also indicated that learning pattern also has the potential to be improved and maintained.

Abstract

In these modern era, it is very easy to create an investment portfolio, an investment portfolio can be formed by buying a shares. By creating portfolio investation, our can expect score return which makes it an advantage. However, there is also a risk value that will be obtained when buy shares. In the formation of an investment portfolio for active investors, it is expected to create an optimal investment portfolio, there are many models that can be used to create an optimal investment portfolio. In this final project, will discusses the use of the Black-Litterman Model in optimizing portfolios for active investors. The Black-Litterman model is one of the models that can be used to optimize the investment portfolio, the Black-Litterman model provides additional information for the return and risk values based on the views of experts. This model builds on the MV and CAPM using a Bayesian framework that allows investors to effectively incorporate their views of the market into the allocation process asset. Based on several tests that have been carried out during the research with different days, the value of the investor's view will always be different every day, the value of an optimistic view will have a good impact on the stock, even though the stock price is falling, if the investor's view is expressed optimism, the weight of the shares will remain high.
