Abstract

Abstract

Case studies as part of the research method provide a certain framework for the stages of the process, including determining the theme and subject of research, determining the place, determining accurate methods, determining relevant data collection techniques, analyzing the results of data obtained from research subjects, making conclusions and research reports. The findings can be said to be scientific if they meet objective, systematic standards and follow scientific procedures. Library research is the type of research used in this study. Library research is also often referred to as literature review, which is a series of activities related to how to collect library data by looking for literature that discusses and uses the case study method in its research. Some research methods that are often used to reveal a case in the social field, one of which is the case study method. Case studies become a research method that provides an in-depth contribution in revealing certain problems or cases, whether the scope of individuals, groups or organizations. Case studies become useful when a person/researcher wants to understand a particular problem or situation very deeply and where people can identify cases that are rich in information, rich in the sense that a big problem can be studied from several examples of phenomena and usually in the form of questions.

Abstract

The world of education as an incubator of ready-to-work personnel, really needs quality information to be used as reference material in the learning process and related to the information learning process itself. This research aims to discuss the triangulation research method. The method used is library research, data collection by finding sources and reconstructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. Triangulation is a method used in qualitative research to check and establish validity by analysing from various perspectives. The purpose of using the triangulation method, is to get better results when compared to using only one method in a study.

Abstract

Ethnographic research is one of the most important qualitative research in which the researcher observes or interacts with the target population and the researcher plays an important role in obtaining useful cultural information, and that is why ethnographic research is known as cultural ethnography or cultural anthropology. Ethnographic research can now be utilized in all fields including education. In this research, the method used is the library research method. The library study method or library (library research) can be defined as a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording and processing research materials. Ethnography as a research method has experienced developments such as the emergence of audience ethnography, digital ethnography, visual ethnography and others. With this development, ethnographic research design can be formed and developed according to the research context that will be made by a researcher. Ethnographic researchers become independent subjects in determining their research design. Although they still have to use existing theories then integrate them with the context of the research being made. The formation of the research design is entirely left to the researcher. There is no standardized form in ethnographic research such as quantitative research that has been measured. The interpretation of research results, ethnographers deal with human objects and cultures that also change. Subjectivity is unavoidable but can still be reduced by ethnographic researchers.
