Abstract

To communicate and interact with each other while in an online game, the Steam Community application is an application that can be used to interact and communicate with Steam Community users, and also has the feature of creating a group, one of which is the GabutGaming group. In a Steam Community GabutGaming Group, interaction and communication are required to be connected to an internet connection and there are also different variations of members such as regional differences, age, language and culture. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Steam Community application in establishing virtual solidarity in the GabutGaming Group. This research uses a Qualitative research method with a Case Study approach and then uses interviews and data collection. Researchers have obtained the results of research from the existence of Openness, Empathy, Supportive Attitudes, Positive Attitudes and Equality. Where from the five positive traits, communication can run effectively to increase the sense of solidarity that occurs virtually in a Steam Community application for the GabutGaming group.

Abstract

The high rate of divorce in Indonesia raises new concerns for parents in educating their children. The integrity of family members is essential in fostering positive character development in children. For a mother, fulfilling two roles within the family is not an easy task. The application of different communication patterns can lead to varying character development in children. This study aims to identify the communication patterns employed by single mothers in the character development of their children, as well as to understand the obstacles faced by single mothers in communicating with their children. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological study approach. The theory used in this research is symbolic interactionism. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The findings indicate that there are several different communication patterns implemented by single mothers in educating and shaping their childrens positive character. The obstacles faced by each family vary, but each family strives to maintain effective communication within the family.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the phenomenon of playing Mobile Legends among students, focusing on five informants from Yadika 2 High School students in Tegal Alur, West Jakarta. The researcher delves deeper into the motives, meanings, and experiences students undergo while playing the online game Mobile Legends. The study employs a phenomenological method, with data collection conducted through interviews, observations, and supported by literature reviews. The results of the research on the phenomenon of playing Mobile Legends among students show that there are two types of motives. The causal motives are having fun, making friends, and filling spare time, while the goal-oriented motives are self-motivation to become competitive, aiming to become professional players, and sharpening mental skills. The meanings that arise from the students include learning self-control, learning communication, improving abilities, and engaging in social interactions. The students experiences during gameplay include experiences in communication with other players and participation in competitions.

Abstract

Content Marketing (Konten Pemasaran) dan strategi pemasaran dibuat untuk mengatur, membagikan, dan menciptakan konten yang menjangkau target yang tepat dan kemudian menjadikan mereka untuk menjadi pelanggan. Hal ini dilakukan oleh perusahaan platform pembelajaran digital Educourse.id dalam menggunakan instagram sebagai strategi promosinya.Melalui Instagram tersebut cara pebisnis online memasarkan atau mengenalkan produk mereka kepada konsumen dengan tampilan foto ataupun video yang diunggah ke akun instagram milik mereka. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan instagram sebagai media promosi di Educourse.id menggunakan model AIDA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga memperuntukkan wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian, pemasaran yang dilakukan Educourse dalam menarik perhatian konsumen melalui instagram dengan menggunakan fitur reels dan story yang menampilkan konten bersifat menghibur. Untuk mempertahakan ketertarikan konsumen melalui instagram Educourse membagikan konten yang berisi testimoni dan dokumentasi. Dalam mengubah minat menjadi keinginan melalui instagram Educourse menawarkan program gratis menggunakan fitur direct message, story dan feeds. Untuk mengarahkan konsumen ke tindakan pembelian Educourse menerapkan strategi call to action dan memberikan potongan harga melalui instagram.

Abstract

This study analyzes the interpersonal communication patterns of Bumble app users in finding a partner and identifies the inhibiting factors, based on the Social Penetration Theory by Altman and Taylor. Using a descriptive qualitative method and in-depth interviews with five Unikom Bandung students who use Bumble, this study examines how gradual self-disclosure forms online intimacy. The results show that communication patterns are in line with the stages of Social Penetration Theory: starting from Orientation (formal communication, shallow self-disclosure, influenced by the "first move" feature), continuing to Affective Exploration Exchange (careful self-disclosure increases driven by comfort and reciprocity), then Affective Exchange (casual communication, deep self-disclosure, often changing platforms), until reaching Stable Exchange (peak intimacy, very open communication, potential for real relationships). However, not all interactions reach a stable stage, indicating a process that is not always linear. The inhibiting factors for communication vary: in Orientation due to minimal profile information and difficulty in initiation; in Affective Exploration due to lack of reciprocal self-disclosure and immature trust; in Affective Exchange due to limitations of online media and differences in expectations. Overall, authenticity issues and the lack of face-to-face interactions rich in non-verbal cues are fundamental barriers. The study concludes that Bumble facilitates initial self-disclosure, but optimal validation and relationship depth require a transition to real-world interactions. Suggestions are provided for users, app developers, and future research to improve the effectiveness of online communication in dating.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the marketing strategies implemented by Galagoda Café Karawang through Instagram in building and maintaining customer loyalty. Galagoda Café is a coffee shop that combines a bakmie bar and a creative collective space concept, targeting primarily young consumers. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with management, the social media specialist, and loyal consumers, supported by observation of content from the official Instagram account @gala.goda. The findings reveal that Galagoda Café applies marketing strategies based on the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) theory, encompassing digital advertising, direct marketing, sales promotion, public relations, and personal selling. Instagram is utilized not only as a promotional tool but also as a medium for interaction and customer experience building through aesthetic visual content, active engagement with followers, collaborations with communities and influencers, as well as hosting creative events. These strategies have proven effective in fostering emotional connections and enhancing customer loyalty, despite the presence of many competitors in the Karawang area.
