Abstract

This research discusses how changes in the self-concept of adolescent children can occur through changes in parental communication patterns. The theory that is used as a reference in this research is symbolic interaction theory, which in this theory will discuss how the results of the meaning obtained by teenagers from the results of the communication patterns used by their parents. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive study approach. The results in this study reveal that through changes in communication used by parents can change the self-concept carried by children. The final conclusion obtained in this study is that both the selection of communication patterns and the level of quality of affection in the family will greatly affect changes in self-concept for adolescents

Abstract

Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) held its 50th Anniversary celebration on January 10, 2023. During the celebration, Megawati as the Chairperson of the party mentioned, "Mr. Jokowi, if there is no PDI Perjuangan, I'm sorry,". The statement received applause from the audience at JIEXPO Kemayoran. The video of Megawati's statement was uploaded again by KompasTV through the Youtube channel and received various responses. This research uses a qualitative research method with a critical discourse analysis approach of the Norman Fairclough model. The purpose of this research is to dissect discourse in three dimensions, namely textual, discourse practices, and sociocultural practices. Textually, the use of linguistic elements in the form of diction and majas is found. The dimension of discourse practice can be seen from the parties involved in making the video from KompasTV media through the Youtube channel. The level of consumption of this discourse is not only consumed by subscribers, but the wider netizen can access the information and provide comments. The sociocultural dimension is divided into three, namely situational, institutional, and social. Situational saw the situation when Megawati's 50th anniversary of PDIP received a response of applause when delivering the discourse. Institutional shows that PDIP's vote share has decreased in the 2024 elections. Then the social level in the discourse consists of cultural and political elements.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman membuat kehidupan manusia perlu beradaptasi dengan kemajuan alat teknologi yang semakin kompleks. Instagram adalah layanan jejaring sosial berbasis fotografi yang memberikan kemudahan dalam mengambil dan melihat foto ataupun video, kemudian dapat membagikannya terhadap orang lain dengan menggunakan jaringan internet, sehingga informasi yang disampaikan dapat diterima dengan cepat. Media sosial pada zaman modern  menjadi salah satu media komunikasi yang populer. Unggahan wisata Ciater di instagram @exploresubang merupakan suatu bentuk informasi yang disediakan dalam bentuk foto, video, dan teks yang yang berisi ulasan deskripsi dalam bentuk caption. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan pengaruh yang terjadi antara instagram @exploresubnag terhadap keputusana berkunjung ke tempat wisata Ciater. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linier sederhana serta didukung dengan teori new media. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket dan studi kepustakaan. Sampel pada penelitian kali ini yakni komunitas himpunana mahasiswa subang unsika yaitu sebanyak 129 pengguna yang menjadi followers instagram @exploresubang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien adalah positif, yang berarti variabel tersebut berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan berkunjung ke wisata Ciater. Besarnya pengaruh ketiga variabel tersebut (intensitas, isi pesan dan daya tarik) terhadap keputusan berkunjung dapat menjelaskan variabel dependent (keputusan berkunjung) sebesar 58,9%. Fakta ini menjukkan bahwa variabel-variabel tersebut merupakan aspek dominan dalam mempengaruhi keputusan berkunjung ke wisata Ciater.

Abstract

Perusahaan memerlukan strategi pemasaran yang baik untuk bisa mempertahankan produknya agar terus dibeli oleh pelanggan dan menciptakan loyalitas antara pelanggan dan perusahaan. Namun dalam kegiatan pemasaran tidak selalu berjalan dengan baik, terdapat krisis dan masalah yang harus ditangani oleh perusahaan. Selain itu, perusahaan juga bisa mengubah fokusnya jika menganggap pasar dari produknya sudah tidak sesuai lagi, salah satu cara menangani hal tersebut adalah dengan melakukan rebranding. Gojek merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang melakukan rebranding pada 22 Juli 2019 lalu, dengan melakukan perubahan pada layanan dan fokus perusahaan. Dengan adanya rebranding yang dilakukan oleh pihak Gojek, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat loyalitas pelanggan setelah dilakukannya rebranding. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan analisa regresi berganda dengan 79 orang responden yang berasal dari mahasiswa angkatan 2019 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik di Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan hasil yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari rebranding yang dilakukan oleh aplikasi Gojek terhadap loyalitas pelanggan.

Abstract

The Lyrical Role of Jingle Luwak White Koffie Advertising in Identity Formation (Semiotic Analysis of Roland Barthes Model on the Lyric Roles of Luwak White Koffie Television Advertence Jingles Version of Tarik Malaka Featuring Via Vallen). The jingle advertising is used to deliver messages to the audience and as one of the communication strategies, to convey messages that risk the identity or purposes of the company itself. The purpose of this research is to find out how lyrics and visual jingle advertising luwak white coffee in the formation of identity and how the word selection strategy in lyrics writing jingle television advertising luwak white koffie in shaping identity. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, with data collection techniques, observations of library studies and documentation. This research uses Roland Barthe's theory with denotations, connotations and myths. The results show that lyrics from the jingle advertisement luwak white koffie tarik malaka helped shape the identity of the product with the selection of supportive words in the lyrics of the advertisement.

Abstract

Pembahasan yang akan diangkat dalam penelitian ini merupakan sebuah refresentasi fase kedewasaan seseorang yang terdapat dalam pada lagu “Bunga Tidur” hasil karya dari seorang musisi terkenal yaitu Tulus, semua sumber data-data yang akan diteliti terdapat dalam lirik-lirik dari lagu”Bunga Tidur” ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan sebuah metode penelitian kualitatif deskritif, Teknik yang ada juga diambil dari pengamatan mendalam dalam penggalan lirik dari lagu tersebut dan beberapa kali observasi untuk hasil yang lebih sempurna, analisis data menggunakan sebuah studi semiotika dari Roland Barthes, Secara garis besar nantinya pada penelitian ini menggunakan makna denotasi,konotasi dan mitos didalamnya.Hasil penelitian makna denotasi dalam lirik lagu “Bunga Tidur” adalah sebuah fase kedewasaan yang terjadi dalam kehidupan untuk diri sendiri maupun para penggemar dari Tulus yang mensupport sampai saat ini, serta makna konotasi dalam lagu “Bunga Tidur” menghasilkan makna yang bisa diterapkan dalam kehidupan seperti, lebih bisa mengontrol diri dimanapun dan apapun keadaannya, mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan jika mendapatkan masalah dan terakhir bahwa setiap masalah pasti terdapat solusi. Dan makna mitos Bunga Tidur / Mimpi ini menjadi peranan penting dalam lagu ini karena dengan tidur dan bermimpi setidaknya bisa melupakan masalah yang sedang terjadi. Penelitian ini diharapkan menyadarkan orang khusunya pendengar tulus akan makna yang terdapat didalamnya.

Abstract

This research discusses BRTV's local television strategy in maintaining its existence in the midst of broadcasting industry competition after making the switch from analog to digital signals. Using Vincent Mosco's theory of media political economy, this research aims to understand how BRTV faces challenges and capitalizes on opportunities in a changing media environment. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was used, involving interviews, observation, and documentation to obtain data from the company. The results show that BRTV implements various strategies, including the utilization of programs and social media, attracting advertisers by targeting specific audience ages, and recruiting with specific criteria. Challenges faced include audience shift to online platforms, competition with online media, and employee attrition during the pandemic. BRTV's strengths include awards received from KPID West Java. To overcome obstacles and challenges, BRTV focuses on program innovation, content creativity, and recruitment for new positions. This research provides insight into BRTV's efforts in dealing with the dynamics of the local broadcasting industry

Abstract

Empowering Partnerships Through E-Commerce Development for MSMEs. Yan's Collections Karawang Doll Production includes efforts to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the doll production industry. Through the use of e-commerce platforms, it is hoped that MSMEs can reach a wider market, increase sales and strengthen brand awareness. This program includes training for MSMEs, providing access to digital technology, and facilitating collaborative networks between MSMEs and other business actors. In this way, it is hoped that positive synergy can be created to increase skills, innovation and competitiveness of local products in the digital market. This is also expected to contribute to improving the local economy and empowering the surrounding community.

Abstract

The high rate of divorce in Indonesia raises new concerns for parents in educating their children. The integrity of family members is essential in fostering positive character development in children. For a mother, fulfilling two roles within the family is not an easy task. The application of different communication patterns can lead to varying character development in children. This study aims to identify the communication patterns employed by single mothers in the character development of their children, as well as to understand the obstacles faced by single mothers in communicating with their children. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological study approach. The theory used in this research is symbolic interactionism. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The findings indicate that there are several different communication patterns implemented by single mothers in educating and shaping their childrens positive character. The obstacles faced by each family vary, but each family strives to maintain effective communication within the family.

Abstract

Photography has become an integral part of our daily lives. The burgeoning interest in photography cannot be separated from the evolution of cameras over time. The advancement in camera technology has spurred the growth of the photography business. Serenity Photoworks is a service provider specializing in wedding photography, including pre-wedding, engagement, wedding, and other related events. One unique characteristic of Serenity Photoworks is its provision of on-site photo and video editing services, which are displayed during daytime receptions. This study aims to understand the advertising strategies used by Serenity Photoworks to attract clients. The method used is qualitative research with a constructivist paradigm and Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). The subjects of this study consist of three informants: the owner, editor, and admin. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study show that Serenity Photoworks utilizes Instagram as its chosen advertising medium. Serenity Photoworks fully exploits Instagram features for promotional purposes and leverages Instagram ads.
